Because whoever made the lizard-head we have was reading Batman and so he drew Killer Croc, instead of a dragon.

Hmmm! Lovely-lovely work, but it makes me worried that I volunteered Winter's Child on that thread. She's a beautiful girl, but may be too young for the apparent theme.
Still, you're welcome to draw her!

Super guide, Bill and it echoes a lot of my experiences.
Even after I'd unlocked them with my first 50, I was reluctant to play Kheldians because of what I'd heard about the slot-crunch - besides, I had never seen a Kheldian that played Well. I always presumed that there was some aspect of 'awesome' about them, which I just wasn't able to see.
Then I had an idea for a concept-hero and, after looking at all of the other ATs for a way to build what I wanted, I remembered 'I can make a PB now.' It was a bit rough at first, but I was teamed with a feral Scrapper, so I still had a good time, and now my Human-only PB is level 33 and seriously kick-***.
What I love is the flexibility (even when limited to Human powers) of being able to do so many different things, just by changing range. While the Tri-form has Ranged-blaster abilities in Nova and Melee-tanker abilities in Dwarf (thereby maximizing flexibility) the Human form has all of that utility (if not to the same degree) and more.
I can blast and AoE and rush in to melee bam-bam-hang-time-BOOM! Then duck away and toss a green-light-heal to top-up the Scrapper, before going back to 'zing-voorp-zing-boosh' blasting away. With an EndRed in every attack and 3-slotted Stamina, I almost never run out of juice.
I am a cosmic-powered schoolteacher! I am a man of light! I am Starlight Saint!
This is kick-*** fun! Until the mezzers show up. However, I am stocking up on Status Resist bonuses, so I hope to have that mitigated pretty well. I surely do wish I had Tanker/Scrapper-type mez protection, though!
Anyway, your guide has me looking at some of my other Kheldian projects and thinking, "Hmmm, should I try the forms on this one?" I think I may (in my copious free time).

Hmm, in his public persona, he's sure to claim that Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev are favorites, but his 'dirty little secret' may be the Euro-rock... Or maybe the Red Elvises?

Lady Cyrsei,
Feel free to use Winter's Child, my Ice/Storm Controller to assist in spreading holiday cheer. The poor dear needs a chance to learn to smile more!
Bio:
MYSTERY CHILD FOUND
EAGLE LAKE, MAINE, USA – 3/1/05 – During the month-long blizzard that struck in January, a girl-child was found, wandering in the snow and freezing winds. Local snow-plow operator, Henri St. Claire, found her stumbling through the trees north of town, mumbling incoherently about a Winter Lord, and completely nude. He hurriedly bundled her in his overcoat and rushed her to the town doctor.
Miraculously, the girl was unharmed by her exposure to the frigid elements, at least physically. However, she had pervasive amnesia, unable to recall her own name, or anything of her history, and was unable to speak any recognizable language. Lost, homeless, nameless, the little girl was immediately adopted by the whole town of Eagle Lake. They’re calling her Siofria.
Authorities are still seeking information about her past, her origins, and her family.
**Basically, she was mystically 'created' by the first invasion of the Winter Lord - details of this 'creation' are unknown, undefined. Physically, she is currently about 12-14 years old, so minimum tall and minimum chest-sliders.

Happy Birthday!
I thought I'd be first to volunteer, but I got scooped.
This is Perfect Perry, my Lightshow/Pom-poms Tanker (Invul/Energy). He's also my main and first 50. I've been told that he looks like a Solid Gold dancer.
Every so often, I think I should get him a new costume... But then I look at him and realize there's no need... because he's Perfect.

Um, I hate to break it to you, but your computer treats all of your RAM as a single pool to draw from. It doesn't matter how many discrete sticks of RAM you have. There can be performance issues, if they are not properly matched sticks, but your total available RAM is a still a single pool.
Now, if you mean that you want CoH to use all of the CPU cores of your multi-core system, then, again you're in luck, because CoH now Defaults to using all of the processing power available (that it can use).
Are you having some particular trouble, that you think you need to adjust your computer to compensate?

And then a cat came by...
Because of this the egg cracked and a bird was born.

Clearly, you're a man that needs more HOs...
HO stands for Hamidon Origin. A HO gives the Same bonus as an equivalent SO, but to multiple aspects of the power. So, Acc/Dam HOs give 30-some percent boost to both Accuracy and Damage. Unlike IOs, their level of boost is 'relative', rather than fixed. They also don't have any set bonuses. HOs are 'old school'.
One can also acquire lower-level ones from the Crystal Titan and Hydra.

Quote:I know BBT and have played with them and their... posse.I don't know how it's done, the person in question is Blackberry Thorn, a regular on the Guardian boards. I know it involves having all 5 in windowed mode with 4 somewhat smaller and a 5th above.
I can't manage two at once myself... the only times I've dual boxed was basically to PL one of the accounts and just let it door sit.
My understanding is that BBT runs two desktops and a laptop (or did), the desktops are multi-core, and they run 2-3 instances of CoX, plus the one on the laptop, depending on server traffic and character/task difficulty. BBT doesn't bother to try controlling each character's individual position, but locks them into auto-follow on the 'leader' and Mostly, I believe they target through the leader-toon. Then it just becomes a matter of keyboard set-up, with one group of keys controlling each support-character.
It seems simple enough, but the thought of a Mind that needs this amount of complexity, in order to be entertained... I'm in awe. Either that, or BBT is just plain Nuts!
So, there it is, a basic guide to creating and controlling your own multiple account CoX 'Hydra', without any need for Eula-breaking bots. Remember, kids, it's all about pushing your own buttons!

Are you nuts? Yes, yes you are... But it's a Good kind of nuts!
Fire/Ice is popular for just that reason, and there have been many studies on what the best Ice powers for the combo are. Search around, particularly in the Guides section, and you'll find plenty of feedback.

For 'pure Survival' and nothing else, Stone is still king, post 32.
Ice has never really been that bad, just misunderstood. It is a Defense set, so you don't get hit often, but when you do get hit, it Hurts. Also, it takes a few levels to build up the defenses, so it Seems to suck, at first, but grows up Strong.
One of the best Tanker options is Invulnerability, built and set-slotted for extra Defense. Call_Me_Awesome has a suitably awesome pair of guides for doing this. Resistance Plus Defense is Awesome!
The new kids are Shield Defense, which is a Defense set, but has a bit of Resistance and Hit Points boosting built in, and Willpower, which is massive Hit Points, plus Regeneration, with a little Resistance and Defense thrown in to help control the bleeding. Also, we've recently gotten Electric Armor, which is a lot like Fire, a Resistance set, but with a focus on Energy and Endurance.
Fire has received a few tweaks, but it's still more offense than defense, a Resistance set with extra damaging options, plus one of the fastest self-heals in the game.
Finally, Dark has been ported over from the Scrappers and we Tankers have learned to love the 'Batman utility-belt' that Dark Armor brings, while Hating the huge amount of Endurance management needed to run the set. It's not as much protection as we might like, but it has an answer for just about everything, as well as having the most potent self-heal in the game.
So, in answer to your question, "Which set is the most survivable?" the answer depends entirely on how you use it!
And other folks might have their own pat answers for you.
I'd say, for 'classic' tanking, Invulnerability + Defense, or Stone - slotted to overcome its negatives, will be strongest. Shield Defense will give you almost as much protection, as will Ice, but they take longer to mature. Willpower is fantastic for You, the Tanker, but you have to work much harder to overcome it's weak Aggro-holding traits, so it can be problematic on a team.
The other sets lend themselves better to a Different playstyle. They are no less effective, but work less well for the classic 'meat-shield' role. Your playstyle and your Team have more effect on your survivability, with these other sets.

Quote:Reducing the KB to a value less than 1 turns it into knock-Down, which is extremely useful. And I Like the KB in Radiant Strike. Effective 'get away from here!' power for knocking badguys out of your face, or off the Squishy-guy.I would say remove all KB from Solar Flare and all the Peacebringer attacks.
I'd definitely like Solar Flare to become knock-up/down, careful attention applied to the shields, and a tune-up of Seekers.

I agree, Minaret is superb!
Well, it looks like the basics of my own costume already got used. Mine is, frankly, older than the designation 'Arabian', in that she goes back to the beginnings of society. I was thinking and researching 'Armenian' when I built the costume, and then the colors came after.
[Edit] Hmm, the picture doesn't show it well, but she has the 'supernatural' face with the lambent green eyes...
(Her Bio)
I can barely remember when I was just a woman, just a girl, but I was one – once.
I can just remember the first time the Goddess came to me, came into me, came over me, filled me, possessed me, spoke through me, and worked miracles through my hands.
And not just one goddess, but all goddesses, who are one goddess, over and over, through time.
I journeyed from place to place and people to people, as time passed.
Goddess-touched, I grew no older, I did not die – I went on.
Filled with power and miracles, I remained powerful.
I was Inanna. I was Ishtar. I was Isis.
I was Ashera, Astarte, Anahit, Artemis.
Many goddesses and one.
But she came less often.
And less often.
And not at all.
I was alone.
For a long time.
Now it is a new time, a new place, with new gods and goddesses.
And I am here.

Quote:I won't disagree that the actual damage output of the human-form blasts is anemic. There are times when I wonder if he's not weaker than a Defender. I'm certainly open to re-balancing damage, endurance cost, and Small tweaks to recharge.Fair enough. I'm open to any change, but the ranged attack chain for Peacebringers right now is atrocious. Not enough damage without using multiple procs in Gleaming Bolt and barely even then.
I like to be active, changing up targets at will, strafing to position for a cone or Big-time KB blast, zip in close to drop a big Ker-Smash!, or punch a thug that's messing with the Defender, and keeping an eye on the rest of the battle. This fluid response to the changing face of the fight is what I love Most about PBs - I can put up with anemic damage, to retain that flexibility... AND more damage wouldn't hurt.
I'm not looking to frighten the Blaster, or make the Scrapper weep, and I also recognize that stacking up the right partners in a full team can make giant improvements to Kheldian effectiveness. However, 90% of the time, my 'team' consists of 1-2 others, at most, and that's not really enough to stack the Kheldian Inherent up to 'uber'.
