Ecstasy of Gold was drafted into Arachnos at the age of five and was totally brainwashed into the Destiny propaganda until one day something just... snapped.
I'm taking Ex to full hero as soon as humanly possible. -
Quote:Yeah, all three of these sound golden, even though eyebeams ARE totally my cup of tea, and I'd like to see them for more attacks than just Rad blast, APPs, and Khelds. Energy Blast needs it an eyebeam attack somewhere. (so long as it's not horizontally flat, you should be safe. So, let's hear it! Tired of doing Backflips with Eviscerate? Sick of beating your chest like Tarzan? Eyebeams not your cup of tea? Tell us about it!
)
Even though it's not even live yet... Kinetic Melee. The current attacks are gorgeous, but people are gonna want something more controlled and less... flailing? dancy? wooshy? If only just to break up the pace a little bit.
For weapons, alternate draw animations would be very nice. Drawing a sword from the hip rather than the back, or drawing pistols from the chest (indicating a concealed harness under a jacket or such) Drawing dual blades from one hip or the other in traditional samurai style. Spines draw without the poison spray (and splorch sound) for more technology based types. Just some ideas.
Also seconding the other suggestions in the thread. Such as elemental weapon options for currently weaponless attacks, and the option for weaponless animations on current elemental weapon attacks. -
Quote:Nope, he said it might be in a future booster pack. Nakayama has outright said there will be further packs after this one.Quite a while back, when someone was asking for animal parts, one of the Devs (Posi, wasn't it?) said that that sounded like something we'd find in a Mutant Booster. Given that such comments are how the Devs usually hint at things that marketing won't let them directly tell us, everyone took that to mean that animal parts were coming in the mutant booster.
You sound like a child asking a scientist why we don't have colonies on the moon, because you saw it in a movie, so it must be easy.
They wanted it so much that they latched onto every hint that it might be so, or even making up hints that it would be so, magnifying them into promises through the power of the rumor mill and then feeling that it justifies their anger when they don't get their way. -
Ooh, this looks like the start of something epic.
As for the contest. I've had rooms very close to 10k items before, and I know Stacker can do much better than me: 10,725 -
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that my Praetorian Grey will need a big huge crazy retcon of doom once all this goes live. (she's my only villain 50, too, I am not deleting her.)

Quote:It looks like glitchy, pixelated textures that are poorly overlayed on each other, but then are individually trying to be water, but reflecting in wrong directions and refracting things that aren't even in the room.I suspect some of this is WAI and someone's idea of what "looks good". The slow field is afterall a slow field not a water sheet.
Even if it's an energy field, big pixels are not WAI. Ever. -
Quote:What? GAH! I missed that one! I use those to make ladders in my live bases!Another thing I noticed is that the "beaker stand" from the tabletop items now has beakers on it. I liked it for what it was before because I was using it for a grill surface in my kitchens.
RAGE! -
I've been sending bug reports on all of these since day 3 of closed beta. They never once even made the "known issues". I also saw all of these posted in the bug report threads all through closed beta.
It takes a lot to make me feel bitter, but this is doing it. -
Quote:I think what she's wanting to do is give each base builder some rooms and just let them go crazy with them... that way, she'll have a big chunk of the base she can give tours to and be like "And the room on the left was build by Xanatos, to your right is one built by Fistsnatch, not the stylistic differences and use of [...]" Etcetera.Sounds interesting. But my question would be what kind of museum are you going for? History? Art? Science? Technology? Car? That will determine what kind of "exhibits" you are going to get. Otherwise I would like to see how this turns out. Don't think I am the caliber of builder you are looking for but I am always looking for a challenge. Some of my stuff is in the base items thread if you want to take a look.
I think it's kind of a cool idea. When I finish with the Cirque du Sin base, I think I'll put up some pics from that and try out for this. -
Hey guys! Bases get some love in I17!
... Oh, wait, no, they get bugs that have gone since day one of CB without even being acknowledged. -
I can picture the look on Avatea's face when the Marketing guy told her that she can't actually tell us about the new technology, right after the dev team told her that we need to beta test it.
"I-but-they-Gah! Fine, whatever. Gonna be the worst focussed beta ever." -
Quote:I agree with this in many ways. Other new rewards for 50 would be nice, but yeah, I don't my entitlement-on for this.We have purple IOs now, there's Hamidon, Task Forces, and so on, and supposedly new endgame content is coming. Now that Kheldians no long ARE the one and only reward for getting to level 50 I don't really see what the fuss is about.
Emphasis mine to demonstrate that you've been doing it wrong. When a game becomes work leave or find what makes it fun and go back to doing that. -
I logged on my NRG^2 blaster yesterday after a loooong time away (away from blueside in general, not just energy). It took a second to get back into the groove, but once I was, there were no problems with knockback.
It helps that it's a very single target build, and nobody complains about the flying boss if it's a flying dead boss. -

I'm not even gonna try until midnight tonight at the earliest.
You people is crazy. -

I kind of hope there will be a mini-patch sometime between now and two months from now, since that appears to be their official timeline.
Besides, like Grey said if pre-purchasers get their early crack at Dual Pistols in March, then I'd hope that it's something that's been patched more reciently than... Two weeks before DP went into closed beta? Or has it been longer than that? -
Yeah, I noticed this a while ago and bugged it. And yeah, it's fixed on Test, just waiting for the next patch.
-

So, bugged this, I'm sure it's a bug, but it's so awesome I'd like them to not fix it. If you use the ninja leap costume change while walking, it doesn't stop to animate the costume change... In fact, it doesn't pause the walking animation at all, even to switch it between female and male bodies...
To confirm, the female walk looks fabulous on a male...
And the male walk looks so much more natural on a female model that isn't wearing six inch heels. -

Quote:Oh, oka-Wait a minute, so the answer is 'we don't know yet'?Sigh. This question [about SG status if you go rogue] was asked at HeroCon at least twice, and I've read it on the forums about a dozen times.
Every time the devs have answered it (which they did, at least both times it was asked at HeroCon), they said that they are working on a solution that will make the greatest number of people as happy as they can make them.
Just because it's not a definitive answer doesn't mean they haven't given one. Patience, grasshopper.
I mean, thanks for letting me know that I did indeed fail my search-fu, and this was a question on others' minds as well, but... Ah, well, I'll have patience. -
Quote:This, Please THIS QUESTION RIGHT HERE!Quick question.
If one does decide to fully travel the path to the other side, what happens to their SG status?
I've been wracking my brain over it since Going Rogue news began. Am I really just missing something every time it's said?
Heck, I feel like this is the first time someone else has even asked the question.
