makos is a [censored] melee set

    [/ QUOTE ]

A bit of a harsh statement but I still agree with Stalk on this one, I've done tones of builds for SG and Friends and not once slotted Mako. The only time I've used it is on my blaster for team PvP on test and even now I think the recharge would be better to get Hibernate, Build Up and Aim back faster.
  2. [ QUOTE ]
Ranged attacks slotted: 86% Accuracy 98% Damage 61% Recharge 43% Range 19% End Reduction
Melee attacks sloted: 86% Accuracy 100% Damage 86% Recharge 61% End Reduction

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hey mate, would love you know what your getting those numbers from? IOs, Set IOs, HOs, a mix?

I tryed with a mix but then I couldn't see how you'd get 50% acc Set Bonus with out slotting at least 4 of the same Set IO is all attacks?

tbh, would love to see you build if possible. I thought mine was maxed out but then looking at this post, I guess I could change some stuff. HOs would be better but then I'd be loosing my set Bonuses and I do love my bonuses!
  3. How to fix it all!

Put 100s of heavies in Bloody Bay so everyone can have one and have a massive war with lots of heavies each! Like a Gladiator Zone lol

Completely change RV into a smaller zone. Scrap the Heroes/Villains idea for this zone and just have 2 sides, a mix of both Heroes/Villains, you can pick a side when you enter.

This would completely go against story, the aim of RV, the name, and probably allow ppl to exploit BB somehow. BUT! It sounds 1000 times more fun, and thats what games are all about right! FUN FUN FUN!!!

    Omnipotent

Same as Extremus, we're willing to organise the fights we've missed our selves and pass on the scores. We'll need to know the Team Leader names of the teams we need to arrange fights with though.
We had trouble with a members due to the Copy Tool being out of use.
  5. Far_Seer

    Omnipotent

Nope my bad, I didn't realise you could copy and it just didn't go through. This is poop!
  6. Far_Seer

    Omnipotent

Copy tool is back up so could go for a late start.
  7. Far_Seer

SU will be there, but I can't see any info on Time, who we're fighting etc.

+ are 3s companey and Omni going to clash as they are both tonight on Test.

Apologies for the over-abundance of criticism, 'tis Monday morning and I'm slaving over a hot Fileserver...
IIRC you need a little under 110% Enhancement to hit the 100% ED "Cap"when exemped to level 30 (Sirens).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hello matey, definitely no apologies needed! This is what I’m been looking for, a bit of feed back more than “looks like a nice build”

I couldn’t understand why you’d think it looked like a Siren’s Build but then I realised I left the enhancements at level 33 on all the powers available in Siren’s Call just to see how the percentages looked. It’s WB all the way baby! Should be level 41 for anything where a Set Bonus applies and 50 for the rest. This should sort these points below.
    [ QUOTE ]
(iv) Regen in Integration, Healing in Reconstuction and Healing in Dull Pain are not capped.
    (v) You only have two attacks in Sirens, Neither of which has capped damage (especially exemped in Sirens).
    +defense, no +damage.
(vii) No vertical travel power in Sirens?
(ix) Golden Dragonfly isn't capped for damage % either

    [/ QUOTE ]

    And the rest:
    [ QUOTE ]
(ii) Looks like a Sirens build, but no +Perception by 30 (Stealth + IO = Perma invis villains).

    [/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn’t see these Villains anyway, even with Tactics on, may still be worth getting earlier but that might mean getting Stamina earlier to and I don’t think I can fit all 3 powers in pre 38.

    [ QUOTE ]
(iii) Impervious Skin +Status Resist IO is no longer a unique +30%, it's now +7.5% and stackable.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Thanks, I never knew this!!! (Quite upsetting really)

    [ QUOTE ]
(vi) Divine Avalanche is far from optimal slotting, less than 50% of ED's

    [/ QUOTE ]
I’m debating whether to drop it, which is probably the reason I didn’t give it much love when slotting. I do love the power a lot, but find that when I’m PvPing I never use it unless it’s a 1v1. The only times I notice this power is when getting ASed while mid fight with another opponent in zones, the AS always miss and makes me look awesome, I may keep it just for that lol.

    [ QUOTE ]
(viii) No healing enhancements in IH

    [/ QUOTE ]
When slotted with 3 lvl50 IOs, its only a 198% increase, and I’d say its not worth slotting. 198% might seem a lot, but if you compare to the 800% what IH gives on top of the 700+ regen you already have in an IOed build, I can find better us for the 3 slots. Saying this, in my build I’ve put a slot on Rest for the +12% regen bonus, if I put the slot on IH instead I’ll get more bang for my buck and keep the 12%. So yes, maybe IH is worth slotting more for the bonuses now IOs are around. Last time we spoke about IH on the Forums, you where the one saying no Heals! Lol

    [ QUOTE ]
    (x) No Flashing Steel/Lotus Drops. LD is pointless except vs Stalkers... but FS is a decent ST attack...

    [/ QUOTE ]
With the 2nd build (pasted in this reply) I’ve done Soaring Dragon recharges in 3.99seconds without Hasten and has a cast time of 2seconds. With Hasten up it’s 3.04seconds.

Golden Dragonfly recharges in 5.52seconds without Hasten and has a cast time of 2seconds. Hasten up it’s 4.18seconds

    Without Hasten:

SD > GD > SD > SotW > and repeat

    With Hasten:

SD > GD > SD > GD > SD > GD > SD – you get the idea of what I’m aiming for here :P

    [ QUOTE ]
    And finally...
    (xi) It's Katana, not Broadsword...?

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Which I’m very happy about!

I’ve played about again, and took in to consideration a few things said, I’d say its an improvement:

  9. I only know one or two players who are really into their IOs so there’s no one I can talk to in depth about builds with, but I'm sure I'll find a few odd balls like me on these forums.

I wanted to be sure I am on the right track to the "perfect build". Been working on a build for Far-Seer and ended up with this:

It's my PvP build for Live Server which is the reason for Revive. I got Maneuvers instead of Assault for the LotG, I can make do without the damage and if anyone’s taunting me then that’s a good thing... means there’s a free Blaster about lol.

I know a lot of people are talking about perma Hasten, but I think with almost any alt you attempt to get it with you'll be sacrificing on powers and slots in the rest of your build. I've got enough recharge for perma DP (I think) which was my main goal, as then I could completely slot for Regen and ignore the +max HP Bonuses as I'll already be at the HP Cap with my Accolades and the small bonus in HP I got from my Katana Set Bonuses. I’ve only got 3 proper attacks but with the recharge slotted in them, Hasten, and set bonus recharge, I should be able to cycle them nicely.

Hi there TG, after meeting you in game for the first time ever! in WB the other night I thought I'd try and help you out

Now you're build was very interesting, I myself have been looking down the recharge root, you just have to be careful you don't start loosing important powers you need just so you get that extra 5% recharge here and there! (Which is what you've done in places) like what Extremus was saying " the Perma Hasten build of old didn't compromise on Damage".

I notice you say if you take concealment pool you would be gimping yourself, I've had concealment pool on my pure PvP Ice/NRG Blaster forever, everyone else does Aid Self; both are very useful for different situations. I wouldn't go with Leadership unless your going for hardcore team PvP, which your not, its very end heavy with the toggles and even though it rocks! you don't get that many chances to use Vengeance.

With the build I’ve done here, I’ve aimed on making a more usual pure PvP Blaster build with the all important movement and burst damage but still managed to keep you your much wanted perma Hasten. I see you chose Blizzard and Ice Storm on you’re building I’m not sure if this was for the 6.25% recharge or because you really wanted the powers, but they are not really the greatest in PvP.

    • Perma Hasten (4sec down time) and SUPER FAST Recharge Globally. (The 3 extra recharge IOs on Hasten could be moved, 1 Decimation: Chance for Buildup on Ice Bolt, Acc IO on both Ice Blast and Bone Smasher.)

    • Top Burst Damage!

    • Fully enhanced Movement, SJ and SS at the CAP, CJ+Hurdle+SS will be very quick as well.

    • Excellent Recovery! If you ever run out of end you need a medal!

    • The equivalent of Superior Invisibility with the SS (Stealth IO)+Stealth running. (This is why I chose Grant Invisibility over Invisibility as you’re already at the stealth CAP with the double Stealth, Invisibility wouldn’t make you any more Invisible. If I’m wrong about how this works let us know)

    • No Acrobatics but there's -8mag KB protection with is res to, I think, everything in PvE and about 90% of attacks that have KB effects in PvP. You'll get KBed by a few attacks like Force Bolt, or Power Thrust but its definatly still worth having.

    Hope this all helps mate.

    [EDIT]
To anyone that read this between the edit time and when I posted it, I made a minor change to the build, adding the KB IOs

  17. Sad news

We didn't always get on but later in my time playing CoH we turned out being mates and teaming a fair bit, we where even in the same SG for a while. He was a good gamer and a good mate, he'll be missed.

C4 is cancelled can we get omni potent up and running again?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    PLEASE!

[i]I knew C4 wasn't going to work the moment I read those 'well thought out' rules. I would have been happy to give it a go but they where just going against the grain to much for most.

    C4 - The New S4!

Well that bloody sucks *****. I've just completely wasted double XP weekend getting my alt ready! The organisers really should make it clear whats going on!

    C4 - The New S4!

Isn't this supposed to be starting tonight ?

I've looked all over the C4 Web Site but can't see anything about the date, but I remember reading the 28th of May somewhere. I know registration ended on the 25th of May.
  21. Howdy doo!

Team Speak is awesome, aslong as you can get players using it. I've been paying for Super Union's Server for over a year now from Jolt it costs as little as £5 a month. At first it was a stuggle getting everyone using it, you just need to stay on their case and they are happy you did once they're online. I'd say 12 or more of us don't go in game with out getting on TS first and atleast 80% of the SG have access to it for any events.

One great thing about Jolt is I find it very straight forward and easy to upgade if need be, for example we recently made an attempt at raiding Hamidon and I was able to upgade to 50 players instead of out usual 18 man server for the month, for a price obviously.

    Hope this helps.
  22. Far_Seer

    Hami Done

Well done all, we give it a try but didn't go quite as well.

I guess all you can do is ask nicely for players not to do it, in the hope that they want to win without duplicating. Personally I would extremely dislike the idea of winning due to the fact I had an advantage through the aid of cheating.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Unfortunatly certain players who shall remain nameless do not feel this way and enhancement duplication has always played a part in test server pvp.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I agree but as I said there is no way to stop it happening if the event is held on the test server.

Was just saying the event's level should be decided by other factors and not Hamio duplication, as theres nothing that can be done about it.

    [EDIT]
Just thought I'd also mention that this event looks very promising, I'm excited about it, and will most definately be entering!
  24. [ QUOTE ]
At this stage rules are still flexible however no firm decision has been made yet as we are currently working out how much of a disadvantage non 44+ toons would be at.

    [/ QUOTE ]

His only reason for running the competition at level 44 in the first place was to negate Hamios from use and stop duplications, which I completely agree with. The problem is this isn't the case as any exemplared level 50 will still have his Hamios in use.

    [ QUOTE ]
    - Should matches be played at 44? I believe so. Why? To negate hamio-s. Eeek! Why! Well this is about single player skill, not who can copy over to test and duplicate HO's. If this was to take place on live I would say allow hamis, but not sure about test - opinions please.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Therefore the event may as well be run at level 50, or if we don't want epic powers, level 38. I think level 50 is much more exciting 1v1 and makes every alt a lot more versatile, interesting and imo makes matches more equal.

My main point is that the event’s level shouldn't be decided on an incorrect reason.

If you run the event on test there is no possible way to stop players duplicating Hamios, I’ve thought about it a lot and the only way would be to not allow any level 47+ alt to enter the event, (Which would make a crappy event). I guess all you can do is ask nicely for players not to do it, in the hope that they want to win without duplicating. Personally I would extremely dislike the idea of winning due to the fact I had an advantage through the aid of cheating.
