Congrats on your 5,000th post, Flea!
  2. Yup, but be aware that if they ever DO make those level of IOs available at some point...well, it won't be pretty for anyone using the system to store inf...
  3. If you guys go with a global channel, I'd love an invite to it. My two accounts' Globals are "ericnelson" and "ericnelson2" (I know, very imaginative ). I've really been enjoying following the MLC-related chatter in TheMarket.

I haven't had a chance yet to transfer over my 33 Dark/Dark Scrapper yet and get producing, but I will soon hopefully.

Exactly my experience. I still play my main (also my very first character ) fairly often, so today I'm completing the second-to-last DJ badge on her. Three more weeks until it's finally over! (For now... )

"Because I want it" has never been a valid argument.
I'd have to agree with Chad and Mylia about this -- thematically/canon-wise, those suggestions don't make a lot of sense. And as far as access to Rularuu goes, you might as well just request the Shadow Shard be made co-op, because as unlikely as it is, it makes a lot more sense doing THAT than adding them outdoors in a "normal" zone.

Actually there are two, for some reason (to avoid congestion maybe?).

  8. Welcome to the game and forums, Maniaxe!

I'll also add that this is intentional by the devs, and not an oversight (at least going by what they've said). Their philosophy is that we are meant to use or trade/sell our items and to not hoard them; hence the relatively limited space for recipe storage.

Oh, and by the way, another way to store them is to craft some of them into enhancements -- then you will have 10 more slots to hold them (locally on your toon) as well as any possible base enhancement storage you might have access to (although be aware that anything you deposit into base enhancement storage then belongs to the BASE, and can be removed with anyone in that SG/VG with sufficient authority to access that storage container).

I'm confused as to why people keep bringing this fact up -- I hope it's not to somehow support the idea of Praetoria being "one big zone" (I'm pretty sure you don't think that, konshu, based on your post, but I see this point come up quite often).

Just because there aren't War Walls doesn't mean there won't be zones. There will be, this we know for sure (pretty sure it was stated as such in one of the Hero Con presentations). The question, of course, is how many/how large/what levels/how much content/etc.
  10. Guys, that's why I was careful to say "As far as I'm concerned" in my post. Sure, as far as you're concerned there are many reasons to take Maneuvers, nothing wrong with that. Just not as far as *I* am concerned.

Nope, it's entirely true. As M-B and Ironblade also pointed out, when it happens is immaterial; at any time that the entire team (including logged out toons) contains only one member, then that TF/SF is immediately disbanded (with the aforementioned Ouroboros TF/SF exception).

Don't think that Maneuvers is the only power I take from the set. Since Ironblade was referring specifically to that power, it's the only one I commented on.

When I choose the Leadership pool, I take Maneuvers, Tactics and (one of my favorite powers of all time) Vengeance. Both Maneuvers and Vengeance can hold a LotG +Recharge IO, and between that and the incredible usefulness of Vengeance, I'm never dissatisfied.

Oh yeah, I commonly do this with nearly all my toons. As far as I'm concerned, it's the only valid reason to take a weak power like Maneuvers (I don't even put the icon in my powertray).

I'm not saying it's not a great accomplishment, but since you can't "-1" a TF anymore, you can't really use those as evidence of it still being possible.
No, M-B, this took place well before the current difficulty settings, IIRC.
  15. In the interest of completeness, too, I just wanted to point out to anyone who doesn't know, that (aside from the Ouroboros "TFs" [which aren't truly TFs]) technically there AREN'T any TFs that can be soloed -- as soon as only one character is in a TF, it auto-disbands. So "soloing" a TF is actually doing it alone, spawned for at least two (one logged out).

Just wanted to point that technicality out.

I have a feeling they are aiming very high.
I agree completely. I think they're trying to knock everyone's socks off with GR, and if they get near what they want to, they damn near may do that.

Of course, if anyone's already decided to be disappointed with it no matter what, there's just nothing much that can be said. I'm going to hope for the best and remain positive.
  20. Yes, Mids' is correct in this.

The "Law of Fives" is governed by the set's bonus NAME (not strictly the amount). So the name of the LotG +7.5% recharge bonus is different than the "normal" +7.5% recharge bonus.

From the above-linked paragonwiki article: "That's because the first bonus is named "Luck of the Gambler: Recharge Speed" while the second is "Huge Recharge Bonus". One can find the names of the bonuses listed in the Combat Attributes window."

    Now get to spendin'!

I don't know how accurate it is, but I've heard that Away Teams ("teams") are limited to only 5 total members. Coming from an environment like CoX where 8 is the maximum (and many of us would love to see that somehow expanded, I think), that's going to be an interesting experience.

My feeling on that: they can turn bosses off, then. Easy fix. They can also start a team too (but many are too lazy or selfish to do so).

Someone will complain about any/all changes made to the game, no matter how universally well-received or regarded; nothing's ever going to change that sad fact...

Not sure what you mean by "online" and "offline" tracking. "Online" meaning websites such as Badge-Hunter/"offline" meaning local applications such as Excel and such?

In any event, like I said, personally I track only badges using Badge-Hunter, and nothing else. I know there are many people who like to hone their playtime to a fine point by using many resources, and more power to you guys. I'm far too scattered and disorganized for something like that.
