At least three of us have tested this, and no, it does NOT auto-switch. The badge offered to Villains (and Rogues) is Arriviste, and the badge offered to Heroes (and Vigilantes) is Trusting.
If you switch alignments (all the way over) and do another Halloween Tip mission, you are then offered the appropriate badge as per the above -- but (as it clearly states in the reward text) it REPLACES the other badge.
So currently at least there is no way to have both Arriviste and Trusting on the same toon. -

Go to the file, open it (as if to edit it), select all, then copy.
Send a message to your friend with a pasted copy of the file in a message.
Friend then copies what you sent, and pasting it into notepad, and saving it using the same naming convention as all other saved costumes.
That's how I've done it. -

On the other hand, it was totally strange, but Talek managed to get the Clotheshorse badge without ever getting a single costume drop.
It's causing people to have to solo (at least for a short while) on their toon before teaming and having a chance to be costumed (and thus have a chance to receive the Halloween Tip as a drop) while ToTing. -

So I did a tip mission with team, I decided to get the Power Hungry badge and it gave me everything but every time I check my badges, the picture for the badge doesn't show up. Instead, all I see is a little white square in its place. Any reason why? It gives me the credit but it doesn't wanna show the actual badge.
It's not that big an issue but I just wanna know why it's doing that. =/ -

Also note that one Gladiator badge (5th Columnist) is not available to a newer toon, because it is gained by having CoH Anniversary badges...

Why they decided to make this sort of thing with GR in place is beyond me. I thought we were past "static" badges by now...

Here's what I found out about Trusting/Arriviste tonight:
I took my Scrapper from Rogue to Hero. I had already completed the Halloween Tips as a Rogue, and had all the badges. Upon changing sides, Arriviste stayed as it was.
I ran the Halloween Tip again, as a Hero, and I had the option to get the Trusting badge, and another 100,000 Inf. I took it, and Trusting replaced Arriviste.
So, it's not an automatic change. You have to manually decide to change the badge, and run the appropriate side Hallween Tip Mission. Otherwise, the name stays as-is, regardless of side-switching. Once the Halloween Event ends, you'll be locked into that badge until the next years Halloween Event.
Are you sure you read Kheldarn's post closely? You can't have both badges, one replaces the other -- so unless you prefer the other side's title, switching does not net you anything (other than another 100K inf).Quote:Originally Posted by Blue Rabbit

Take that with a grain of salt. Someone had posted that they petitioned about it and were told that we were only supposed to be able to get 3. It should be taken as a truism that the GM's have NO CLUE what the devs actually intend.
Whether it is ever altered is anyone's guess (and at this point only the devs potentially know for sure, and I doubt it's even on their radar). -
