Quote:Congrats, Bohmfalk!I know I'm way behind a lot of people here, but I've finally finished all my day job badges! This post was also supposed to read "finished" for all the available badges, but then they came out with the incarnate stuff, so I'm about 3 or 4 badges away from that. Either way, woohoo!!

Quote:Ah, gotcha. Sorry I misunderstood. Carry on and GL with your sale.Oh no, that's not what I meant at all. I was referring to myself, actually.
I was assuming that, since my post count is so low, no one knows who I am, and I just show up all of a sudden with a Panacea for sale, other people might fear that I was just phishing for someone to rip off.
I just noticed that people were getting others to vouch for them and mentioning that they were trustworthy, so I figured I should do the same. In fact, my initial impression was that this wouldn't be an issue, so I'm fully confident that everyone here wouldn't dream of "taking the money and running" so to speak.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. -
Quote:What exactly do you mean by this? If I'm misreading the intent of this statement, then I apologize, but it sounds like you're saying that people who might respond to your post tend to be untrustworthy. Also, after looking around this forum, I realized getting ripped off is more of a risk than I imagined it would be.
If that's the case, I have to disagree with you very strongly -- 99.9% of the people who frequent this forum, even though they may have, uh, strenuous discussions with each other from time to time (), are completely honorable and trustworthy and in fact go out of their way to help people regularly.
Again, if I misread the intent of your statement, I apologize, but that's the way it came off to me. -

Quote:This is the way we have routinely run the LGTF for some time now, and in my opinion it seems to make the mission go much more smoothly than the "traditional" way.The last few days, I asked the teams to leave the pylons up last, to test the theory that their design is to aggro the Hami while remaining allied to him, resulting in a no-attack scenario with the Hami unless he were taunted or attacked.
No hard evidence I can share, just a LOT of runs that seem to be easier as far as this mission is concerned by taking out the Mitos before the Pylons. -
I haven't seen that, but I HAVE seen the Rikti routinely take out 1 or 2 Mitos for the team -- and in any case, they certainly make a mess of the area around Hami and draw aggro to themselves. At the very least that's worth something.
-
Quote:This has been my experience as well. If they do any more than this, I've never seen any evidence of it.i originally thought the pylons did absolutely nothing, but i recently learned that the only thing the pylons do is give hami a untouchable status, so you cant hurt him but he can still shoot poeple
so basically the pylons just have to be taken down before hami, doesnt matter if its before, after, or during the mitos -
Quote:Just wanted to mention that my best friend is the one who purchased the two from No Torius, and this is the 2nd time he's purchased from No Torius (I believe). He's been incredibly happy and everyone can have confidence that No Torius is a trustworthy and honest trade partner.Update: TF finally done and 2 sold. TYVM buyer and one pending still.

I'll echo everyone else and say that Fulmens (aka @Boltcutter) is a great guy and I can't for one second even imagine him ever being less than totally honest in all things.

Keep in mind that a Rogue IS a Villain in the way that things like gaining access to the Patron pools needs.

Pretty sure it's been stated by the devs that after the Alpha slot, the 8 above don't go in any particular order, so we may see them unlocked in a seemingly "random" pattern. I believe I read sometime back that the only other slot that occurs in a specific order is the Omega slot, obviously the last one that can be attained (and, I assume should be the final one of the slots we know of now unlocked).
-
It also bears mentioning that you can, if you have the exact same mission on your toon, use the auto-complete that is offered upon mission completion if you'd rather just get credit simulutaneously with the active mission owner.

Quote:No -- I continue to get Shard drops when solo, just at a slightly slower pace then while teamed (due to the mechanic that's used to check for Shard drops).I've noticed since the last update, (the day of the emergency server update,) I haven't gotten any shards when soloing missions, but when on a team or a TF/SF I get shards. I have even increased the number of enemies I fight to get shards, and still no shards. Anyone else noticed this?

First off, when you create your 2nd "set" of boosts toward that 2nd rare, you don't use up your current rare like you used the lower-tier boosts in creating that 1st rare. You start from scratch, essentially, and create your common-uncommon-rare from the ground up, keeping your 1st rare intact. (Hope that makes sense.)
Secondly, there are multiple ways of creating your very rare -- note that the window showing your options has a scrollbar on the side. Scroll down and you will see you can combine multiple rares and have different combinations to make that very rare.
Hope that tidbit helps you out -- I'm sure others will also chime in with other very useful info, too. -
The SG window can be expanded left to right, and many (but not all) of the column headers can be expanded or contracted as desired. This should allow you to get the Prestige column to an acceptable width.

Yes, additional Morality missions were added so that now there seem to be two per alignment. If you don't like one, just keep defeating level 20+ enemies until you get another Tip drop and it will be the other one.
It's nice to have a choice. -
To the best of my knowledge, level shift does NOT affect your rewards in any negative way.

Note that a link has been added to the CoX updater also, so that's pretty visable.

Quote:Just another note -- this is because the "counting" of the bonuses is done via the actual literal in-game name of the bonus, and the LotG +7.5% recharge bonus is named uniquely ("Luck of the Gambler: Recharge Speed"), vs. the other +7.5 recharge bonuses, which are simply named "Large Improved Recharge Time Bonus".Also, the 7.5% recharge bonus from the LotG Global IO only counts against itself for the x5 limit, not against any other 7.5% recharge bonuses you might have. So you could slot up to 5 LotG 7.5% recharge IOs, then slot a Sting of the Manticore* and get a sixth 7.5% recharge bonus from that. Conversely, you could also theoretically slot 5 Sting of the Manticores (in practice nobody has that many snipes, but in theory), and still get a 7.5% recharge bonus from slotting a Luck of the Gambler on top of it.
Quote:*I'm not sure if Sting of the Manticore actually has a 7.5% recharge bonus. For the sake of the example, let's pretend it does. -
-
Also, keep in mind that, set-wise (not counting single IOs which also may be restricted on a case-by-case basis), all purple IO sets are unique and so each IO can only be slotted ONCE per toon, regardless of which power(s) it's slotted into (and only at level 50, of course).

Quote:This, exactly. Well said as usual, Turg. This, more or less. My opinion is that, as you do the WSTs successfully, you'll build up credit. If you wanna bang out the grind, do them regularly and get it in a few weeks (or as Ironblade's friend will do it, by tomorrow). If you wanna cruise with the WSTs and see it as an opportunity to get a higher opportunity to team for a given TF/SF, and earn shards/merits/recipe drops via the upper echelon of enemies in the game, then it's a win/win. The badge is just cake. You can eat it now, or eat it later. You'll still get it in the end.
At first glance, I was daunted by the 50 count, sure. But in the long view of Incarnate work, this gives an added incentive to stretch out the gaining of it at your pace. WSTs will always be announced; people will always have 50s they'll want to Incarnatize. The badge is a hook, but one that has a positive effect. Contrast that to the original Empath, where you could lock a toon in a gladiator PVP match for weeks or months to earn it, and this "epic" badge is far more constructive.
Leandro made fun of me for wanting to run an STF a night or two ago. In reality, this badge is making me less of a badger and more of an Incarnate player. I'm diggin' it, personally. Worry less about that 3rd tier, and you might dig it more too. -
