I read that to mean "hitting the hard cap, preventing effective logins beyond what's already there". That benefits the AFKer at the detriment to the willing player they'll probably end up locking out.

    Sorry, it's an obnoxious tactic.
Normally I'd agree, but not in this case. They want 3,500+ toons online. Do you really think:

    A) They care how they get them?
    B) There will be substantially MORE than that number? When they are publicly doubtful themselves?

If I thought there was any chance at all that doing so would block anyone or somehow mess with the devs' plans, then I'd completely agree, but given their statements, I find it very hard to believe.

Doesn't really seem like it'd be such a great big hairy deal, since they mention they WANT to hit 3,500 online but will settle for 2,500, and that they reckon their new setup can handle a ton more than even that...
  3. Congrats, McNum! Glad I could have had a small part in your success.

You're truly a class act -- I wish more people were as classy as you are.

Perhaps...however, "not WAI" does not equal "exploit" (at least it doesn't to ME). Fixes to "not WAI" is exactly what you produce patch notes FOR.

Meh, whatever, they obviously did what they did, and it is what it is.

Bad and unwelcome news, but still news.
Just to make sure I wasn't seeing things, I just checked the toon I used on that run (my Fire Blaster who did not have any of the BAF badges other than the one for completion of the Trial), and sure enough, Lambda Looter was what we earned.

So the "fix" is most definitely in...

I haven't seen anyone post this, but I thought I'd mention that the latest patch did indeed "fix" the badge (although it's not mentioned in the patch notes as far as I can see; perhaps the devs considered earning the badge in one run an "exploit").

Anyway, on Victory we made a Master attempt this weekend (grabbing all temps and not using any), succeeded, and everyone was awarded only ONE badge (Lambda Looter, as I recall).

So the earn-in-one-run gravy train has left the station, apparently.

(Apologies if this news has been broken elsewhere here; I hadn't seen it posted by anyone.)

Shouldn't matter -- you can still receive Tips from TFs and Trials (I got some today, as a matter of fact).

I thought the same thing -- and with a HP total, too. Strange. But cute.

  10. I think I'll PL a toon up to that range this week and lock it and offer it to my server for starting Eden Trial runs, just because of this thread.

This is one of my favorite farming techniques -- the lowbie in question can trot ahead, sacrifice itself to the cause, and then the high-level toon with Vengeance can run in and enjoy the benefits.

Seriously, Vengeance is one of my very favorite powers in the entire game -- defeat is such a given at some point that it comes in very handy for me from time to time, and if your team DOESN'T experience defeat, then you really didn't need it anyway, did you? (And it's a wonderful LotG +Recharge mule too!)

It really does appear that random is in fact random. *shrugs*
This was nearly exactly my experience. For every person you find who, like the OP, hasn't received a very rare after numerous Trial runs, I've also found those who seem to get rares and very rares with some regularity. And then, I suspect, we don't hear much from the (probabably enormous) group in the middle that gets a range of rarities in their drops.

Random is random, and I wouldn't hold my breath for the devs to ever announce the drop rates publicly.

Yes, full League the first run, 21 the run I'm in now. Apparently people are experiencing that lag, but either way I'm not getting it (yet ).

I just asked the BAF League I'm in right this minute, and that's exactly the response I got. Wonder why I'm not seeing it, that's really bizarre.

If it's a systemic thing I'm sure they'll address it. Hope you guys get some relief sooner rather than later!
  17. No changes at all here, just ran a BAF Trial a few moments ago and the usual escapee lag was it for me.

Yup -- the best example that comes to my mind are the Toxic Tarantulas in Warburg. A lot of people used to be mystified when they didn't get credit toward that defeat badge until it was pointed out that their faction is "Rogue Arachnos" not "Arachnos", and they are "Rogue Toxic Tarantulas", not "Toxic Tarantulas".

I was working on getting to Musculature Core Paragon and the path I was taken has been.

Musculature Boost -> Musculature Core Boost -> Musculature Total Core Revamp (This is where I'm at)

To get the Musculature Core Paragon it says I need another one still so I thought oh well the one to right will work which is Musculature Partial Core Revamp expect I can't seem to get this now since I no longer have Musculature Boost & Musculature Core Boost does this mean I have to start over!? or am I just missing something I assumed I could go left on the tree since it let me >.< if you have to go straight up WHAT IS THE POINT!?

If I was to make my way up to the Musculature Partial Core Revamp would I at least get to keep my Musculature Total Core Revamp in the process or would it put me back down to the low level version of Alpha? I really don't want the last few days to have been a waste.

Any help on this would be great assuming it made sense.

Yes, you have to "start over" (in a manner of speaking) and build the common, then an uncommon, and then any other rare, and those two rares (any 2) are the main ingredients in the Tier 4 (Very Rare). (NOTE: there are many recipes for the Very Rares -- keep in mind there's a scroll bar to the right, so you can scroll down to see all the combinations of recipes that exist.)

And no, crafting lower Tier Incarnate powers doesn't affect the ones you have -- you just have extras.

    League Question

You can also use Leagues for things like Costume Contests and other zone/player events. Helps keep everyone handy and organized.

Close -- it's "Snipping Tool", and can be found in your Windows "Accessories" folder.
  22. If "detached" from being anchored (you know, the little blue button in the top-left corner?), the window can be resized using the bottom-right corner. It can be made pretty small (this is true of the League window as well).

I think the Lambda Looter badge should require you to get all the temps in the sabotage portion. It should also allow you to get any temps in the courtyard, even accidentally. You should NOT be allowed to use any of the temps. (Keeping track of where you got the temp could be a headache for some teams, and probably a pain to code. But I digress.) I also think that if you do this you, should have met the requirements for both Antacid and Well Stocked.
This is exactly what I was thinking as well.

If they're so "absolutely useless," deconvert them into Threads. There's no cost associated with that, and you'll net 8-10 Threads per Uncommon deconverted.

Congrats, Turg! (And to everyone else who's gotten MoLambda.)

Just had a successful run on Victory. With a combination of levelshifts, debuffs and great players it went pretty routinely.
