Surprisingly got all of the badges needed for the Master of the BAF badge
I also finally turned EI back to a villain to get the "The Thief of Midnight" badge I missed when he was a villain last time.
4 more WST runs....4 more....so tired of 'em.... -
Quote:I agree here.So easier? Yes. But that's still no guarantee. On the plus side, it now opens up those badges to a wider variety of ATs and powersets.
I just recently did a MoLRSF and got the badge. It took a group of 8 lvl 50 incarnates (or at least 5-6 of us were incarnates) 3 attempts before we actually got the badge.
1st time we got all the way to the final mission and we pulled Numina; while Numina was coming I (the team leader) was trying to talk and say "Synapse is incoming, focus on Numina", Synapse ran up to me and used his "flurry" power which just so conveniently bypasses the "one hit" code and killed me
2nd time while we were all fighting Malaise/Swan/those AVs, one of the brutes died from Swan's psi nuke (maybe another nuke/Valk's AoE or something).
3rd time we finally got itThere were no ("real") debuffers, just me (kin/rad def) and the rest scrappers/blasters/brutes/etc....
Quote:Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that the devs will nerf the "Master of" requirements in i21 so that you can't use any incarnate powers.
Oh and Lothic, you forgot the one badge that was 'nerfed' that hit the closest home to me.
Isolator.
Oh yes, Positron saying, "nope we'll never add another way beyond hunting them in RV (PvP zone in the tram), if you want the badge get it that way."
By the time I got the badge on EI, "tada, Ouroboros! Now you can get Isolator nice and easy!"
hehe, Not bitter....no....not bitter at all... -
I thought it was a decent episode...of course you knew the Doctor wasn't 'dead'...
-
The new ep. doesn't air on BBC America until 9pm (at least that's what my DVR says
).....
-
Could be good; I'll be watching in the theaters (planning on it at least).

Quote:Ah I stand (sitThat part is consistent with previous behavior. The "Confuse the drone" trick worked like this:
* Control Ship A had been destroyed, leaving it's drones dead in space.
* Control Ship B appeared and launched more drones.
* Destiny's crew opened up one of the dead drones leftover from Control Ship A, and used it to re-program A's drones to defend Destiny. They were vastly outnumbered by the drones from B, but lasted long enough to cover Destiny's escape.
So to make this trick work, you must first destroy a control ship, and then capture one of it's drones. Then you can re-program the drones to fight for you, but *only* the drones launched from that specific control ship.
I suppose they could have sent out their one "A" drone to fight. But just one wouldn't have made much difference.) corrected....I did completely forget about the 'dead' drones...my bad!

Quote:Was there anything in particular that you didn't like? I only ask because I have seen overwelming positive reviews on this, and your post may be the first out right "don't like it" post I've seen regsrding the new TF. Everyone has their opinion, I'm just curious as to what you found undesirable about this TF, because it felt like a homerun to me.
A couple things....so here I go:
The team of 8 that I was on (I was the leader); 6 didn't know what was going on (ie. they never did the TF before) and only 2 had done it before. So the first mission kind of felt 'rushed' like an iTrial as far as trying to figure out what to do/where to go before x happens. This was especially true at the end when you're blowing up the generators and the reinforcements come through the portal.
Our team had quite a few deaths (nothing 'bad' but...) and that one AV (Stone?); never even seen him until someone said, "he's over here" (didn't know how to shut off the portal). Defeated him and mission completed (I think)...7 of us exited and I couldn't get the next mission cause was 1 person was still in the mission.
After a minute I asked if he was coming, he (or she) said, "where are you guys? I can't find you." "We exited, mission completed." "Oh, I didn't even notice; so many things going on." (paraphrased).
Then 2 things that 'got me' in the 2nd mission were the following:
1.) When we were fighting the 2 AVs at the end (Riptide and Harbinger?), we were fighting Riptide first and I noticed I was having rchg issues with powers (have like -11 or 41% rchg rate) and wondered why I was having that. It wasn't permanent so I thought it was some sort of power/debuff I was under.
I looked at all my icons and nothing but buff icons....hmm...so I mentioned it to the team and someone mentioned, "you're in the time slow down bubble" and I was like, "the what? o_O"
OH, you mean the FF bubble on Harbinger that has a buff icon on my screen? That really needs to be changed to some sort of debuff icon; I thought it was just the AV having FF powers (giving himself mez protection/+def, etc...).
2.) Secondly, I died from those berserk bombers (neat btw and not the issue) before the last AV died so I 'went to hospital' which is where you start the mission at the beginning. But the last AV died, and the nav bar said, "find mission exit."
So since I was at the beginning, I just used the helicopter...by the time I zoned back into IP I noticed everyone was in Skyway and wondered how the mission changed/etc....so I was a bit lost. Went to Skyway and went inside and then actually zoned into the mission.
Again, # 2 isn't a big deal but just something that threw me off.
Then the last mission (again, nice artwork) was 'bleh' to me all around.
1.) Fighting Fusionette/Jane was gimmicky. I had an IM chat with an sgmate about this and I was basically saying I didn't care for the KB that the AVs do that you can't escape/have enough protection against. It doesn't kill you/teammates, just KBs you....annoying. He mentioned just being far away to not be affected by it but I thought I was far away a few times but still got KB'ed so I thought it was somewhat of a 'zone wide' KB thing.
2.) Then the last 2 AVs...I like the idea I guess; I like the air strike warning graphic(s) but uh...yeah..that happens a bit too much plus the bug where it can hit while you're rezzing in the hosp. isn't fun (which I never died from but still); and yes I noticed that it seems that it's fixed on the test server.
It took a while for us to finally take down the last AV (we took the Praet. version down first)....and a few times I swear the air strike was covering ALL of the bridge/area where you could be standing on where the AV was at....a little much.
Oh and maybe it's in the text (never had a chance to read any story text) but...why Sky Raiders? Boooring (as far as mobs go)....Why would Nemesis want to help the Praetorians? (since the Sky Raiders are his other 'group' right?) -
Quote:Well sadly the first year and a half of SGU is pretty much forgettable.
But damn starting about 6 episodes ago it started rolling out episodes that are exactly what the show should have been from the beginning.
Sadly that doesn't excuse that first 1.5 years worth of episodes that either suck or borderline suck.
Pretty much this ^^.
We all seem to agree that SG:U is now finally 'getting good'. The first season was just so boring/stupid/bad writing but now it's getting in a groove....too bad it's canceled
Oh and, yes I thought this newest episode was okay but a little 'fast paced' at the very beginning for my tastes.
"We're under attack, we can't jump to FTL again..."
"Jump to FTL"
"Whew, we're still alive"
I was kind of hoping that before they started to be under attack that the planet below that was available to gate to was the one where the descendants were and then they'd have some sort of technology or something to know how to help defeat the drones.
Also, why didn't they try sending their drone out to confuse the other drones again? -
A few more days until I get this guy/badge! I can't wait for /auctionhouse!

Quote:I am afraid that this will be the best TF no one ever runs only because of what it is competing against. It's release coincided with the release of the bulk of the Incarnate system, which is something a lot of players have been waiting years for. Sutter is easily one of the best TFs in the game, and has been terribly under played. Hopefully once the shiny wears off the incarnate stuff, people will remember than i20 had something else in it as well.
I would disagree wholeheartedly on this. I did a Sutter TF last night and maybe it's cause I was tired or whatever but....I do not plan on running that TF ever again (on any character)...just wasn't fun at all for me; shame the artwork was nice
The new villy SF is better I think. -
Well I just did an Admiral Sutter TF and...uh...to be quick I don't think I'll ever do that TF again...nice artwork but...just did not like the TF at all.
The possible bug as the OP mentioned didn't help in that regards -
Quote:Yeah in the MoLambda that I led, when Marauder jumped over to where the Chamber spawns (near it), all AoEs were fine but we said not to use any judgement powers (specifically Ion since it can chain off of mobs and hit the chamber)....
It would appear as if an additional Exterior Molecular Acid Container was destroyed later in the fight. This could possibly have been the result of AOEs and placement as a portion of our battle took place near the corner where the Molecular Acid Containers spawn. Someone may have accidentally done the damage at that point.
...
To be honest, the chamber never got hit (never went below 90-95% HP as far as I could tell...maybe never even hit) from any regular AoEs...this was where all the mobs were causing lag because we weren't using Judgement powers to get rid of them.
I think the only Judgement power that really should be avoided is Ion...the rest should be able to target Marauder and just let him have it...Pyronic, Cryonic and Void don't chain and I don't think if you used them where Marauder is (on top of that barracks thing) the chamber should be fine.
Stinks for you guys but like you said, at least you know there was a chamber blown up by someone -

OCR #2: "Are you sure that's an F? I think its an R."
Positron: "Hey Z, any chance I can get that post up by close of business Today?"
Zwillinger: "Get the &^*# out of my office, Miller."
Positron: "So, Thursday morning then?"

+1 would read again. -
Um not to be snarky but....isn't all content "repeated"?
I mean; I guess I don't understand your issue/problem. You have a toon you want to play...but don't want to do the content that's there because it's just "repeatable content."
To me all content is "repeatable" (it's a MMO after all....) so....*shrugs* Can't help you out.
I have 20+ toons (only one non-lvl 50 atm) and when I was showing a friend some of the characters that I had (just for certain powers/etc...) I thought to myself, "man I haven't played this toon in a while....and I like him a lot....oh well..."
I have 4-6 toons that are my "mains" now with all the Incarnate content/trials out. And with that I've only played my main (EI) up and have all slots unlocked. The other toons don't even have a t4 alpha yet (2 have a t3 alpha). I just don't have the time for more than that at the moment.... -
-
Thanks for the heads-up Positron
-
Me too! Hehehe...I want to 'solo' a LRSF/STF/etc with my Kin/Rad Def....I want to beat up any AVs/content that beat me up when I was "little" on my main toonHence why I didn't particularly like not having the other +2 lvl shifts in 'normal' content.
-
Quote:...
EDIT: By the way, if the next 4 slots give us 2 more level shift the way the latest 4 slots have, and the final fight with Tyrant come out after them, then it's possible we'll be 50 +5 for it, in which case the devs might be planning to make the Olympian Guards be only AVs - like whole mobs of AVs protecting Tyrant.
I just want to know how you know this (as far as the slots go that is...don't care about the Tyrant/AV fight talk)... -
1215 here
I have a few more to go (I think like 12-15 more?).... -
Did you make sure not to blow up any of the caches/chambers in the outside courtyard? If one of those blows up during the Marauder fight you won't get any badges.
Plus, like it's been said, technically you're only supposed to get Lambda Looter when you get both acids and grenades and not all badges. -
Hey! My SS/SA Brute has all 4 Presence power pool powers!
Granted the fears were all for thematic reasons but...still!
I'd be for any positive changes to this pool.
Also, what about finally getting rid of the -tohit penalty on Group Fly? Ugh... heh... -
First off, congrats Wulfrich (and whoever was with him)....
Quote:I was surprised at how few (?) re-inforcements come when all 10 portals are open...adds weren't really an issue at all on the MoLambda I led. But yes, use Judgement powers whenever they're recharged (at Marauder)...obviously if the team needs to take care of the adds then do so but...*shrugs*...
The Maurader fight was basically this:
1) Spam Judgement at minions to keep them down. I felt no need to tightly control this. If the power was up we blasted them. When the spawns would get to be too many I would Yell out for Judgement and usually someone or someones would let it loose.
2) Spawn Non Seer Lore pets at first attack on Maurader (100% Health Points). The Seer Lore pets I saved for when Maurader was down to 25% or timer at 5 minutes which ever came first. Usually by the end of the fight (around 10 - 15 health points) the Non-Seer lore pets were recharged and I called for them to be summoned again.
I didn't even think about calling out for the non-lore pets when I did my trial. Good thought.
Another point to add; I also have team 1 use lore pets now (at 100% health) and have team 2 use their lore pets at 20%/25% When I did my trial, I wasn't sure when he used Unstoppable and then noticed...he was 'stuck' on 23/100 for a good minute....lore pets now team 2!heheh
Quote:3) Activate Barriers when the warning flashed on screen for Nova Fist and Activate Rebirths after Nova Fist.
4) BE VERY CAREFUL around Containment Chamber in NW corner of courtyard. Fire Judgements on mobs that are AWAY from it and make sure to have pets on {Attack my Target} toggle. If you destroy it you DO NOT get badges. (we did that once and we killed him 2mins on the clock and no badges).
I will say that point 4 is a very good one. This was the only time where the adds were somewhat problematic for the league I was leading. Not in the sense that the adds were killing teammates but just causing more and more lag. I cautioned people not to use Judgement powers (especially Ion as that can obviously chain and hit the chamber)....so that is one area where caution is needed for sure.
Quote:5) When his Health reaches 22 - 24 Health points he goes into "Unstoppable" for about 3 mins.... If you dont have at least 4mins on the clock it gonna be a close fail. I have noticed that if you have in at 50% health at the 10 - 15 minute mark your team is gonna succeed. But the closer to the 10 minute mark you are the higher chance for a split second failure.. one good DC of a DoTs or DPS provider or 1/2 team killed during a Nova fist is gonna make the difference.
6) Lastly I had my time to give it up.... If he is not below 10% with 30s - 1 min on the clock I called for Grenades and we took him down. This way we at least got our drop menu. -
I'm sure they'd like to do something like that but...probably not worth the time it'd take to re-do the health bar(s)....*shrugs*
