So in conclusion to what the establish heavyweight Empathy users are saying but not actually typing:

    I'm a [censored] Empath

    Fair enough

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nah, you just need to team with people who'll make sure you stay safe. Maybe have a bind that lets people know you've used AP and are now being attacked?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I just have a bind that /t's @Xanthus that I've used AP. Works wonders!

Seriously though, AP's saved pick up team and SG team time and time again, Elerith wouldn't be the same without it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

To be fair though, with the amount of suicidal squishies in our SG we need AP! (I include Ms. Freedom in the 'suicidal squishies' group )

That all said, I've seen lone Corruptors completely neuter and crush Regens from range in one-on-one situations.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ice/Kin Corrupters for the win right?

They're incredibly annoying, that's for sure.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Ice/ and Fire/Kin, and Ice/Dark, as it happens.

My bet is that */Cold and */Rad would be similarly daunting, but I haven't seen that with my own eyes as of yet.

    [/ QUOTE ]

*/rad is very handy one-on-one...although probably not the Dark primary. I had a fight with a spines/regen, and he just couldn't hit me, and even when he did I could heal it back pretty easy.
  3. I used to have 2 attack rate/2 ToHitBuff/2 DefBuff. But now, thanks to HO's I have 2 attack rate/3 ToHitBuff/3 DefBuff

As far as I can see your blaster PvP build is far from optimal.

    You will die.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup. You don't have the melee attacks...not much chance against a decent spines/regen.

  6. I think it depends on the concept tbh...some ideas just are not workable.

That one seems more than workable though.

Uhm... I don't know 'bout those crits in PvP, but im 100% sure that in PvE AS get's resisted by some of the mobs: CoT ghosts, Freakshow Tanks, Cray Tanks... the like.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't know about AS, but I know for a fact that the critical part of a scrappers attack cannot be resisted, I almost killed Silence when we were testing stuff out in the arena
  8. I have another problem with these missions, the fact that they can be outleveled. What are level 50's supposed to do about the debuffs?
  9. Random teams are never going to be as good as a team of people who work together often.

But I'll still take a random team over being solo, it's just more fun.
  10. Yeah, it's not a power I use all the time, especially not if I have aggro, anyone who does that deserves to die!
  11. Heck, one blaster vs a brute will come out on top if s/he is built for PvP.
  12. I got no problems with it, and it's saved the team for me more than once. I don't see why you die after you use it, unless you're attacking or something...which you should never do if you've used AP.
  13. Minimum level for the lowest one is 15 I'm afraid, so you'll have to level up a bit before you can get in.

    But here's the list anyway:

Bloody Bay - Minimum Level: 15 (accessed via Skyway City)
Sirens Call - Minimum Level: 20 (accessed via Steel Canyon)
Warburg - Minimum Level: 30 (accessed via Kings Row)

There is another zone on the way as well, which will be called Recluse's Victory.
  14. Well the tank thing is your fault...if you're not going to slot for damage then find a team.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
The shortest there can be done in around 8 minutes soloing on Rugged.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I can run through them in about 10 minutes or so with my blaster.

I really like Confess' idea though, they would have to change the missions a bit...but it would be great.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
*nods* That's fair, so long as you;re doing it with the intent of preventing them from debuffing your side, and not out of spite for what they say on Broadcast, which is the implication of your post.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You're right, it does sound like that, I've edited the post now.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
So you'd purposely grief someone just because of what they said on Broadcast?

    [/ QUOTE ]

No. But them doing missions would make my life harder. I don't consider that griefing.

  18. [ QUOTE ]
So the complains bout "I was only there for a mish, dont attack me" arent really valid.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup. If someone said on broadcast that they were there to do missions, I would make sure I take them down whenever I saw them.

    [edited for clarity]

I should point out, I'm not saying I will go out and hunt them down until they leave the zone, just that if I spot them, I will take them down (or try). If you're doing the missions in a PvP zone, you are a part of the PvP, whether you like it or not.

    power pool

    [ QUOTE ]
or first rez and then recall friend so you can use lvl 7 to 3slot your rez

    [/ QUOTE ]

3 slot rez!? I never add any extra slots to rez myself...much better to get them in your heals and buffs.

As for what pool powers to go for, apart from the travel power of your choice, I'd definately go for assault and tacitcs from leadership, vengence as well probably.

Hasten is pretty useful, fire it off after your auras to lower the recharge time.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
As for "crying to mommy", comments like that are what make people uninterested in PvP. The attitude of the players has an annoying habit of being "Ha! Pwnd U N00b" even when they aren't actually saying that, if the person they just splattered is anything other than a regular PvPer.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Totally agree with that, I really enjoy PvP and spend some time in Sirens most days, but when I get annoying people of the 'HAHA Pwnd N00b' type, I just get to [censored] off to play. It especially seems to be Stalkers who act like this. (Note: Not saying all Stalkers, I know plenty of good Stalkers who are fun to play against)
  21. I wouldn't mind if I knew which mission would buff my sides damage again! It's not hard to do some missions yourself to sort it out. Well, in theory anyway.

    [ QUOTE ]
I know! I was happily doing the buff damage mission with my alt when i got a tell from a villan saying that i was actually debuffing the damage. First i thought he was joking but soon realised he wasn't since everyone started saying it. Imo this is a game breaking bug, from the hero side of course. You villains can laugh it up!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Definately is from the hero side. And that villain was actually me, I switched sides in the hope that the debuff hero damage would actually buff it....no such luck though.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
If you like playing a close quaters defender, Short Circuit from electricity is a killer - I have one with NO slotted end modifiers (just got it) and it seems to drain over 50% of even level minions end on one shot. Recharge isnt to long, so in about 15 secs, all minions are at 0 end.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, that's a great power for an empath. I have that and combined with other attacks, I can drain pretty much all the endurance of a mob, which makes healing alot easier
  23. I do think the debuffs are a bit extreme. Yesterday I was using Build Up with Bonesmasher and could hardly hurt a corruptor!

    Oh, and Happy Birthday Botty!
  24. [ QUOTE ]
Electricity is relatively poorly resisted like energy and rad.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You realise all three do energy damage right?
  25. Y'know what makes the debuff missions worse? The fact that devs can't [censored] get them right! The 'buff hero damage' mission actually debuffs it...way to go there devs...
