HAHAHA!
Great points, Tartyr!
I'm right there with ya... I didn't do the same schooling, but we're the same age.
Anyway, I love your style, man. Everything in here is great... Especially the old man!!
-
Alex did say a little while ago that, while he'd not yet reached 98, he was putting a hold on until he caught up. Then he'd ask for more.
So, you may not be entirely too late -
Really nice
That is now a great finished piece!
*applauds both artists* -
Well, actually... The process apparently is explained on that site right here: Behind The Scenes
I was curious, because... My experience looking at WoW was VERY brief (Blech), but I did not recall it looking quite like that (Regardless of rig).
It's interesting. Take a sceenshot and then not only photoshop edit it like crazy, but then paint onto it.
Not positive how much freehand painting they are doing, but it's interesting.
*shrug*
(Seems like all the wispy magical stuff is their drawings)
Me? Sure... Hey, I'm a grubby, raw penciller at heart, so... I loves me some pure came-from-my-brain and out-of-my-pencil, but whatever, hehe.
Sounds like they enjoy it and t does look nice. Fancified screenshots.
I've seen people do slight photoshopping to screenshots when they make their own Comics, but nothing to this degree before. -
Yeah, seriously... nice inking job!
Great sketch, of course, but yes, really cool, LJ!
I love those lines and effects in the background.
Looking forward to the color! -
Seriously way better than "okay", mate!
I really like these. I was expecting a little pic of the character and opened up an image choc-full of busy stuff. Very nice!
And I, for one, see no problem with the women's clothes. -

How about this?

Hey, nice job, Prof!
I my opinion, you nailed the features and their proportions.
If you don't like the stubble... just shave!
*shrugs*

Yeah, that's an interesting subject, Zekiran.
I hadn't ever thought of it from the standpoint of the major sales of original cels.
Heh, I wonder how much of a blow that may have been for Disney (Maybe they'd have to sell off a tiny bit of the world that they own).
So, it brings up the thought...
When and how does the realm of collection buyers and all that catch up with the technology?
(Or more so... when does someone figure out an appealing sell to those that want to buy such things?)
Files on disks?
Original saves?
The Original Line/Sketch Layer?
All the layers in some sort of appropriate file format...
Perhaps once holographic projectors or iscreen-like things are a standard around the house... collectors will buy a little object that fits into a projector or a flat screen-base and the image(s) will be displayed.
They might slideshow through a collection... or the various stages of the illustration(s).
Or, hehe... That whole facet of art collection may die out ;o) -
I love them and I agree, Hericane, that pet reaction is fabulous.
Haha, even on the Gata Azule sketch, the pet is hilarious, hehe.... But yeah... the reaction to block out the sound from Yuzune's sonic power is just great!
I'm really enjoying this series! Thanks so much for sharing your work! -
Ooh, thanks, Tartyrsauce
Hmmm... While the Council are always good...
Electric-Knight does spend a lot of time in Kings Row...
Maybe busting and zapping the skulls of some Skulls is more appropriate.
However, I leave it in your discretion should something better strike you.
If you demand an answer... Kings Row, busting up some street-level crime.
Best of luck and thanks! -
I'd imagine you already have the 98, but since I haven't seen that stated in here (And I wouldn't want you to fall short ;o) ) I'll offer up my character, The Electric-Knight , in case you feel like drawing a slender, black-tights-wearing, agile hero that shoots and controls electricity (Full bio at VirtueVerse in case you or anyone else are interested)...
Electric-Knight Costume References
Electric-Knight with Statesman and Imitation
Electrical Aura
EK Zapping
More importantly, I love the work you've done, thanks for offering this, much belated happy birthday to Gramps and I'm glad that he got out of the hospital feeling better!
Great job, all around. -
Okay... I'm pretty sure I missed on this one...
But, since i haven't had any art done for my characters -yet- I figured I'd suggest my character, The
Electric-Knight , in case you feel like drawing a slender, black-tights-wearing, agile hero that shoots and controls electricity...

I just had to pop in and say that I love all of these. Excellent work! I really love your style.
Keep up the great work! -

Is it wrong that this: [ QUOTE ]
There are new Aura ‘combinations’ that are now available which combine Auras on different parts of the body simultaneously.
[/ QUOTE ]
Got me more excited than anything else?
Great post BTW, very helpful.

Hehe, same here... I hadn't heard about or noticed this.
Just to add to it, I know at least one option has been added in as well... Vaporous Aura for Feet.
You can now have the Vaporous option on your feet.
Something I just use to think was odd that it was missing... And am happy to see them adding in little touches like this. There may be more new aura options as well (Besides the new combinations).
And thanks for the helpful posts! -
No apologies needed, Skuzzbopper (By the way, I am a huge fan of the original Skuzzbopper, the Great Amurkian Novleist!!)! It was me who didn't say what I was looking for!
Thank you very much for the info and the help!
Yep, I had a feeling they'd be backwards as well, heh. -
Thank you very much.
I notice that I did not specify the aura that I was most interested in using: the single eye laser.
I can take some cracks at guessing what the name is though, given that info.
Thanks for the help, as always!!
-
Maybe I missed it, but my searches turned up no results (And I didn't find anything at the Codex) for the commands for the Cyborg Auras in a character's costume info.
I don't have the cyborg pack, so I can't just hop on and grab a demo of it myself.
I was thinking about using it for two reasons... One of them being able to see if I like the way it looks on a certain character.
The other reason being for a more more interesting shot...
Thanks for any help! -
AHA!
In the PLAYER!
I see!
I haven't used any Players, I just drag the Demo into a shortcut!
(And here I was searching for info in the Editors about this)
Thank you very much! -
It's funny you brought this up... I had a scene in mind that involves a character looking into a mirror.
I quickly dropped it from my mind, as I am attempting my very first Demo-Movie... but it is something I plan on looking into for the future and will watch your progress on this very interestedly! -
I'm convinced this is a question that is easily answered somewhere rather obvious, but (Perhaps because I am just throwing myself into learning as much as I can about demorecording, the various demo-editors, video capture software and all that stuff) my brain has managed to completely miss this information...
How do I remove the player names from above their heads in the actual Demo?
And is there a quick/simple method included in any of the tremendously helpful Demo Editors out there?
I've been using Zloth's Editor to replace models (THANK YOU ZLOTH!! So much quicker than doing it manually!!) and I thought it was quite likely there was a simple command or feature for removing the names above their heads.
Again, I'm sure this is something I shouldn't need to post and ask about... but here I am... my apologies for caving in and posting this instead of continuing my search for an answer!
And thank you!! -
Ever since you showed me the roughs, I've been waiting for this!
I so love this piece... So, so very much!!
Such a great job, Mr. McKinney!
-
((So, I hope this sort of post is not frowned upon within this forum, as I figured it is the RP Community that may best know the answer...
Are there any Mental Institutions mentioned/used in official lore anywhere? (Whether it be game backstory, comics and/or missions)
I've just been curious and meaning to ask.
Obviously I and everyone else can create whatever we wish (And I'm willing to do so and/or use established creations of others if such things exist... I even encourage such a thing), but I just wanted to check with people much more familiar with the official lore to see if there are indeed any established Institutions for the Mentally Ill and so on.
I've wondered if the Zig officially has a large Criminally Insane Section (Kind of hard to imagine they don't).
Thank you for any information you can provide.)) -
Hats off to the team!
The additional slots upfront and retro-active vet rewards in combination with more purchasable slots is truly the way I thought you should have done this... It is just so rare for a business to do things the way I see things, hehe.
I'm really happy, both for the customers and for you guys.
In the end, I believe happy customers trumps digging for every last penny a business can get... and convincing business people to pony-up a few freebies when launching a system to buy something is a rare and wonderful thing, hehe.
It just seems to me that this game is backed by some guys with a lot of heart (And sense)... as opposed to other uncaring companies that I may have been a subscriber to a long time ago... -
I'm really looking forward to this and much more so to the day when the powers are spread out much more (With all the inherent AT differences and tweaks, of course).
Power Proliferation is nothing but goodness and I can't believe how negative so many posters have been ever since the list was announced for the first wave coming in I12.
I understand what Psi damage means and I understand the wary perception for PvP, but the negativity is just so ridiculous.
If you think the Devs are blind, I'd suggest just leaving.
If you think they're smart and good at doing their jobs (I know that I do)... stop assuming they're going to mess everything up.
All this nonsense over who gets what right now... Eventually it'll be spread out.
I don't think any defense is needed at all, but just to point something out...
Both Red and Blue sides are getting stuff that I know many people are going to enjoy.
I love the whole, "Besides the VEAT's Villains aren't getting anything".
Yeah, and besides the 10 ton anvil in my suitcase, there's nothing really heavy in it.
"Lighten up, Francis!"
