Quote:I don't recall any confirmation that inf would transfer - in fact, I thought I remembered a redname saying, "We haven't said that it will" when someone was assuming it would. If you've got a link to a source that said it would transfer, I'd be interested in seeing it. My search-fu kinda stinks. You will be able to keep all your IO's and "moola", everything else is coming to us in bits and peices.

Quote:Try as I might, I can't figure out how to get more than 28 levels using level 25 invention sets - what with them not being slottable until 22.So, this being said, How many levels can one get, and be effective, using level 25/26 Invention sets?

Quote:I used to feel that way - then someone pointed out to me that at least two of his arcs (as well as Kelly Uqua's) are failable. If you don't want to take Miss Francine back to be tortured/killed, you can just let the timer run out on that last mission.I avoid Westin Phipps' arc if at all possible, and when it's not, I run it OOC because even on my redside herd, I don't have anyone that would be that mean. I can't be truly "evil" so I don't try.
You get hosed on rewards, but the souvenir for failing is WAY worth it. -

New to me as well. I slotted one of these into sprint on my 47 Brute over the weekend. If something got broken, it was in Tuesday's patch.

Quote:The Gravitational Anchor proc uses the visuals from the Gravity holds; no tesla cage animation, just enemies floating in the air.I've done my little bit of research, and was considering investing in this 'Gravitational Anchor: Chance for Hold' proc
In an AoE immobilize, it's awesome, and not at all aesthetically cringeworthy. -
Great stuff. Some of it ranks right up there with the alternate souvenir from the "Miss Francine" arc.

Absolutely fantastic.
Every artist has detractors. Not every artist has fans. Congrats on being in the smaller of those two categories. -
Quote:I can't imagine much that would be more mind-numbing than running at -1/1 as fast as I could; it's far easier to get rich running AE missions (still) than it is speed-running almost anything that gives merits, and I'd rather spend time on my 50s pounding a ton of stuff into the dirt to get purples and boss-dropped Pool Cs than beating up blue minions.Seconded. Consequently, don't be surprised if the rewards are scaled down as a result (assuming more people are running arcs at the lower settings).
If you're right, though, I'm doing my best to counteract that effect. I've found that Ouro on +1/4 is a ton of fun for leveling when I can't be bothered to find a team. -
Quote:I tried bidding cheap prices, with the result being that it's still for sale.If it's cheap it will sell fast, but given you have to go to the lengths to actually advertise it, it's probably not as cheap as you or we assume it is.
edited to add: Which is to say, I didn't buy it. It ain't THAT cheap... -
Unfortunately, no. Random rolls with always drop at your actual character level or the highest level at which the recipe drops, whichever is lower. If a 50 exemps to level 10 and randomly rolls a Zephyr -KB, it will be a level 50 recipe.

Sounds like this is getting changed as of tomorrow's testing. Glad I didn't put in more bids for canes last night... Still, the supply won't be as enormous as last year, with SSK to keep things in check - it just won't be gutted.

Quote:I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you have an ATI video card. If so, that's among the issues that have been documented here:This has been a problem for about 6-7 months, so I'm going to assume nobodies mentioned it, or that I'm the only one with the problem.

It is very frustrating. I've not done a respec on my new ATI-having laptop, but a workaround would probably be to move enhancements from the large box to the normal tray, then pick them up and place them from there. My personal workaround will be only using respecs while on my significantly older NVidia-using computer. -

Hi all,
Simple question (I think) that I can't figure out the answer to.
ATI's Radeon 4100 integrated graphics card for a notebook uses shared system memory (I think like the Radeon 3200). My 3200 runs CoX acceptably well. Would a laptop with a 4100 be fine for the game as it currently stands? (Athlon II dual core processor, 3 gb ram expandable to 8, if it matters in assessing the 4100.)
Thanks in advance. -
This is cool. I may never use it, but it's cool that it got added to the game. More options for ways to entertain ourselves are always better.

I love my Claws/SR brute. Ever since the first time I hit Spin at level 6 and had everything around me fall down dead, I've not been able to focus on any other character.

Quote:I don't know about anyone else, but all I have to do to get the memory usage to go up to crash level (generally about 70-75% of total memory) is run missions. This was true on the laptop I recently had melt down; with 2 gigs of RAM, it would slowly ramp up how much memory CoH used until it got to 1.4 gb. I saw performance degradation that could eventually lead to a crash, though crashes on that system were relatively rare. I'm now running on systems with 1gb of RAM, so the break-point tends to be around 700mb, and if I try to open the market interface with that much memory already in-use I will crash in a fairly predictable fashion. Can you guys please give me a specific instance of the memory leak issue? I've followed this for awhile, but I just can't seem to get it to occur.
I get to that level of memory usage more quickly if I'm doing something graphic-intensive, like a hami raid, but it doesn't have to take any more than running missions, solo, on the lowest graphic settings, with close FX turned off. If I want to go to the market toward the end of a session, I /unloadgfx, /reloadgfx, and say a little prayer before I try to open the window.
This is on two different 1gb RAM systems. I don't have anything better until I buy the replacement for the one Best Buy just lemoned for me, but like I said, the flash-point seems to be in the 70-75% usage range (where Zombie was seeing it) and that was something I saw on my other system as well.
If you think a hijackthis log or anything else might help, I'd be happy to provide it. Unlike Zombie, I've still gotten some use out of /unloadgfx, but that's just a temporary fix for the symptoms of the memory leak, and I'd love to see the underlying leak go away. -
