  1. All you do is rescue here, wait... (thats the important bit) kill the 5 ambushes and then move on. Not too hard, mostly failed due to team members not listening.
  2. Here is the villian one from Zombie Man. Different style to the hero one but he's also fine for them to be added to the Wiki:

As long as you do so politely, there is no breach of etiquette in doing so.

Then of course, you have the option of declining. Though just ignoring them or giving a rude response makes you the one showing a lack of manners.
This was exactly the analogy I was thinking, and really the only one thats been put forward that is close to this.

You keep saying these people don't know if you want to team with them.. exactly, hence why, assuming a basic level of polite tell (not always the case but thats a whole other fish), most of these tells ASK if you have room or want to team, not demand a place. A simple 'no sorry' is usually a sufficient reply and quick to do.

Try PM'ing Zombie_Man and see if he can hook you up.

(p.s. I have this map scotch-taped to the side of my pc tower)
Done, If he doesn't have a villian one I'll do one up. I've also asked him about adding it to the wiki, for whoever suggested that.

Haha, that made me laugh. Great responses. I'm thinking I'd be Mender Lazarus. He stikes me as just weird enough to be interesting.

Otherwise I think I'd roll a robotic mastermind and have them give a tutorlial to new MM's as thats lacking at the moment.
  6. Must say I found the pink difficult on the villian background

But as for your ideas, very good for the most part. Not so keen on the NPC ones, I'm ok with Signature NPC's having their own gear.
  7. Seeing as some of our Devs and community reps are former community members (and are still community members I guess :P) and appear to have been given the option to choose their own redname etc, what would you choose if you could?

Name? background? roll in game? Powers (including a signature one )? Any other interesting information?

Of course, feel free to steal an existing cannon character, either from the books or the game, but tell us why, and give us your take on their back story.

I'll give it a think over and do mine shortly.

Point conceeded. I'm not a number cruncher, don't like the flavour. I just check they don't make anything red when I slot it (or not anything serious when slotting multi aspect IO's) and just go for it.

As I said, I liked your idea, it's like not taking your hand off the chess piece untill you are sure thats your move.

It shouldn't be too hard to replicate. I'll take a look this evening for you. I'm not too experienced at Villian side so there may be errors on the first pass, but hey, gotta start somewhere.
  10. Very cool, love the talos one!

That is a good move with regards to making up for how powers work changes, so a player may choose to drop the power or even begin to use it. I can see in the rare occassion a power is improved, that no need for a respec or any allowance may be needed, for no negative impacts is experienced by the player.

But lets address an IO bonus degradation, or power ability degradation; how can a developer make reparations for that?

My suggestion of a free IO extractor tool, was a suggestion on how to mitigate the damage a player experience from a developer initiated change; it matters not if the developer change was good, bad or indifferent. The City Planner decision to put a road through your property may actually solve the problem, make the problem worse, or do nothing.
They do give you a free IO extractor tool, it's a freespec. They don't make wholesale changes to sets, usually only to 1 or 2 sets at a time. So use the Freespec to remove those sets if they no longer perform as you expected.

Personally I think we should be able to pull Enhancements out of our powers and back into our inventory without the need for some fancy crafting by simply paying a Inf cost that increases every time. I also think that we should be able to put enhancements into powers and pull them out for free as long as we haven't closed the enhancement window. That way people could slot an enhancement and see the resulting values before they decide whether to use it or not.
While I like the idea you put forward of enhancements not being fixed in untill the screen is closed (kinda like how slotting works in a respec) you know you can hover the enhancement over a slot and it'll pop up with the numbers right?

As for the OP suggestion, I'm usually in the camp of they should be fixed in there, but this suggestion is an elegant solution. Enough trouble and expense for those who just want to strip toons, but a good option to pull out those 1 or 2 IO's that you want to change for another set.

Let's see what the Going Rogue mood emotes are and see if we can't work from there.
Maybe only have standing idle emotes with sitting ones triggered after an alloted time, like 2 mins or so
  14. There's a little pop up the very first time you slot an enhancement... it says that once slotted it's there for good. You seem to be failing to understand this is WAI.

    New Zone?

Why? Cos of the use of Up? Never been up town? Or up to Washington? Or up anywhere north of where you currently are?

I think you might be reaching a little.
  18. You need to make sure that you are doing the right level. Each badge needs to have a certain amount of each of the 2 levels done, usually half. If you are doing 25's and it's not moving, then do 30's.

What I'm saying is: stick stuff in and you don't even need to cross your fingers. It's still better than SOs.
Cheers. I have one fully IO's character, a blaster with so many set bonuses it's hard to read his /info. Am working on a couple of others now. Emailing recipies makes it so much easier too.

Just a word of warning, this has been bought up about once a week, it will raise hackles.

On your other point, it was available when options weren't so readily available. I'm not sure how many people would buy it even were it permanent, then again, I likely would, dunno. On the fence here, although I'm sure people will come in with game breaking reasons why it shouldn't be made permanent.

Welcome to Onion, if you need any help ingame I'm on a fair bit during the week @Dave_N_Smith and always happy to help. Also look at joining some of the global channels: Sal's badge hunters and union task forces are 2 good ones.
