Washington will be too low for you I think. I'm not sure who the next step in IC is though. Sounds like you are playing resistance so you'll need the next Loyalist contact.

Smallish Beta? Wasn't it like 4 months long?

I haven't been able to get it to remember me since they merged the boards. It seems logging into one machine will cancel the login on the other 2.

I doubt they have done this. There has been no mention in the Patch Notes. My guess is that because you mapservered they weren't awarded properly.

I'm likely to start a good number there for a while, but I have enough Alts on the go at the moment that I won't be starting any new ones for a while anyway. I'd start where ever I felt best suited the character I guess.

People who like scrappers will play scrappers, people who like brutes will play brutes and people who like tanks will play... you guessed it... tanks.
Some people don't like chasing fury so don't enjoy brutes as much as those who do. -

The second option is that the game isn't set up for proper impacts on targets, meaning that cool hold you want that wraps the whip around the target can't happen, nor can that choke hold around their neck or the pull that drags the target to you.

IQuote:Wow you have 8 toggles by level 20? Do you take any attacks?I know on my Dark/EM tank I can easily spend 15-20 seconds toggling up. I only have 8 toggles.
Dark Embrace ...........: .67 seconds
Murky Cloud..............: 1.17 seconds
Obsidian Shield..........: 1.17 seconds
Cloak of Darkness.......: 1.17 seconds
Tough......................: 3.1 seconds
Weave.....................: .67 seconds
Death Shroud............:3.47 seconds (roots as well)
Cloak of Fear.............: 1.17 seconds (roots as well)
And Super Jump or Combat Jumping (no activation, but still needs to be toggled)
Added up we get : 15.27 seconds of toggling, that is not taking into account server ticks, or making sure to queue the next toggle.
That's not to say I don't think suppression wouldn't be better, but maybe add up the battal number of toggles you have at 20.
Also in favour of Mac's suggestion. -
Quote:I get grey for PraetoriansThat would be the default user-interface color for creating a Praetorian. You will only get that color scheme if you are creating a Praetorian.
If you create a Hero or a Villain the user interface will swap to their native Red and Blue pallets. -
Quote:Or set it so the badge gives you a mission to finish off a member of the gangs which triggers the vendetta.Yea, you could set it up so that you have to do a mission to get into witness protection to avoid the vendetta. Could you imagine the chaos if you had several vendettas going at once? Make it so they had no qualms about fighting each other over dibbs on your hide? Just turn the corner and theirs a gang war going on. Id love it...you would be cagey all the time wondering if you were gonna get jumped.

They have stated that they intend from here on to include as much of the NPC stuff as they can, and hope to retrofit some of the older stuff for us too. Don't expect unique stuff like BaB's gloves, but the general group stuff should be made available over time.

This has been asked before and the Dev's have said they WANT to customise power pools but it's a lot of work and its on the 'when we get time' list.
It's not as easy as putting it in the current customisation window, as thats built for the primary and secondary sets. Once chosen they are fixed to your character permanently. The Power Pools (an NO power pools allow customisation at present) are all possibilities so it's harder to work out how to costomise and display them. -
Quote:Right...for 3 and 4 Scrappers and brutes are the easiest to Solo and play and MM's are easy to solo, but most AT's will work solo fine, maybe just a little slow is all.Hello all.
(Sorry for the wall o' text)
Please bear with me if these questions have been answered elsewhere. I am still learning my way around the board. Everytime I try to play the trial I can't because the screen just blinks rapidly, so I am just going to assume I like the game and get it later today. But before I do I just have a few questions. I apologize if these questions seem like trolling for the MMO I just finished playing (EQ2). Sometimes it is just easier to compare it to what you are used to.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
1. If I buy the Going Rogue Complete Set, I don't have to buy the other expansions right? - Correct
2. Is this a game you can solo all the way to the level cap? - Absolutly
3. I am going to assume that if that is true, there certain ones that are easier to solo with than others. Is that correct? - See below
4. How is the balance? Are there certain (I have no idea what the term is for the different "combos") that are just pointless or nerfed to heck? - See below
5. In EQ2, (sorry) in order to get reasonably good gear, you HAD to group/raid. Is that the case here? (I'm ok with that.) Not really, although there will be some of this with the next issue, but it's not necessary
6. Are there tradeskills? - Dunno what that means so probably not
7. Are there servers well populated? Any recommendations for a server if I tend to play between 9PM and 12AM PST? - Pass, play on the EU servers sorry
Thanks again for all the help.
It's pretty hard to gimp yourself in powerset choice, they all are pretty balanced although some shine more than others obviously. Pretty much play what sounds like fun and go with it.
However... I would recommend working out why the trial is flickering first as it's the same client so if it doesn't work the game probably won't. -
Big difference between them:
Prepurchase miss out on the item pack but get the power sets early and paid $30 at time of purchase
Preorders get everything, but only upon release and paid a deposit and then balance of $40 upon collection -
Quote:Honestly mate, you need to do your research. But the preorders have paid full price? It's rotten, no matter how you look at it.
Glad I didn't fall for the preorders, and anyone with a lick of sense should never do so again.
Pre-Purchase - Going Rogue ONLY plus early access to Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning and Beta access - $30(ish)
Complete Edition - CoH, CoV, GR, Free Month of game play and Goodie pack - No Pre-Purchase available - $40(ish)
Pre-Order - Complete Edition as above + pre oder bonus of special enhancements - Available through gamestop only - $40(ish)
Complete edition goodies - 2 costumes, 2 Aura Sets, some stances and a useless power - requires CoX to play (maybe also GR from reading above) - $6(ish)
All of this was made clear in the original announcement except for the cost of the CE goodies pack and the existence of the pre-order.
There was NO bait and switch.
I put ISH on the prices as I'm not 100% sure of the exact costs and am too lazy to check, but they're about right in US$. The CE was a better financial deal by about $8-$10 due to the free month but some people decided having the 2 sets early was of more worth to them. No one was tricked or ripped off and the CE goodies is actually cheaper than expected. -
Heh, I was teaming with an Elec troller on my KM stalker and it sounded like a flyover at Daytona.

Quote:I've had no problems with escortees following with hide on, using a KM/Nin stalker too. Weird that you are.Am I the only one having this problem? I'm running into a LOT of escort and missions with ambushes in them in the Praetorian arcs, both of which are making stealth completely useless. For the escorts, they loose sight of you when you go "hidden", and the ambushes come right to you and start attacking even if you're hidden.
Now these are old problems, but usually these quest types were far more spread out. But in Praetoria I'm getting them one after another and leading to multiple deaths for my KM/Nin stalker (The worst being a constant ambush wave of Ghouls in a hospital, which lead to so much rage you'd think I was a brute.). Before folks ask, I'm a very old player (pre-issue 1) that came back to try out GR. Unfortunately I never managed to get a Stalker very far in the past, as I found how squishy they were at lower levels an extremely difficult hurdle for me to overcome. GR is not helping matters any right now....
Quote:So turn off hide. Your escort will be able to follow.
Ambushes almost always say something when they spawn, so the minute you see those little speech bubbles in your grill toggle hide back on and wait with your escort. When the ambush shows they won't see you and will stand around like any other spawn. Treat them accordingly, turn hide off and head on out. Rinse and repeat for repeat ambushes.
Quote:I am really not doing well here. After 3 escorts I got a mission that placed me against a constant spawning ambush (I think 8 or 10 waves, I lost count). It was enough the NPC group that was supposed to be helping me died and left me alone... I died at least 4 times during that.
Now I'm stuck on "Katie's Mom" and that quest-line. I have to escort a trigger-happy psychic blaster to an elite boss... To make it worse, the EB summons a LOT of help. 5 waves of ambushes came running at once, not to mention her "pet" summon. If this is supposed to make me want to come back to CoX, it's doing a piss-poor job of it.
And I'm only at level 12, and on the "default" difficulty. -

If you go to your hero, open the map and click.. um... city I think... it will show you all the zones in the city. Perez links from Skyway, Steel, Atlas and Galaxy I think.
-
Quote:Worth asking though. If you don't ask the answer will always be no.Not my subscription. A family member is paying for it so really it's up to her, not me. So even if I let it lapse it will still be up to her if I get GR or not. So really, you should maybe consider that not everyone can pay for the game with their own money.

Welcome back. I never had the pleasure of meeting you in game but your legend precedes you.
-
Quote:Not to mention they multiply if they get wet and heaven forbid if you feed them after midnight!Gremlins might be the worst pet in game...that would depend on what constitutes a "pet"...any fight they start you will have to finish and if they split up and go one on one thats two fights you will have to finish
As a dom we designed to do damage & control just dont plan on your controls doing damage either so plan accordingly!
