Quote:Is this off test? Because offical word from the devs was that any toon without it will get it automatically, any toon with it will have to respec to get it as inherent.I'm not sure what powers I'd give my Masterminds in the place of Fitness, so those might sit while I ponder it.
EDIT: To those saying "I never had Fitness, so I get it free" or "I'm low enough I don't need to respec", you will need to respec if you want Inherent Fitness. You gain it at level 2, and if you're over level 2, you don't get a change until you respec. -
Quote:I had heard the same about them being lost below 50. And thanks for pointing out they are the same person, I didn't know that. Funny.Black Scorpion in Closed Beta specifically stated that you lose your Incarnate Abilities below 50 (at the time, they persisted as low as level 39, which was labeled a bug). Currently on Beta, the Alpha Ability is present at level 45, but not at 39. I haven't tested the levels in between.
So, Black Scorpion and Tim Sweeney need to get their act together and come up with a straight answer.*
*They're the same person.
Quote:I would be very excited to hear we would get access to Incarnate as low as L45. *Hoping this is correct* -

Quote:Welcome back. Will look you up for a team some time.I'm back baby!
Got GR and reactivated my old account. Within 1minute of creating a praetorian I got a whisper to join a team lol.
As my old account is active I'll probably be posting from 'Finch' after this and my handle is @Finch -

Massively: Quote:If a player joins a lower-level party and brings his level down temporarily, does he retain Incarnate powers? Does he still have a chance to earn the materials required for Incarnate abilities?
Tim Sweeney: Incarnate Abilities become inaccessible below level 45 -- the Well of the Furies only sends its energies towards those who are operating at or near the peak limits of their capabilities. Some Incarnate components may be earned at the lower-levels for particular tasks (for instance, the Imperious Task Force will award a component even if completed at lower than level 45), but it is not typical. The Well tends to reward only those who push the boundaries.
Non-Incarnate Ability rewards will be accessible at all levels, however.
How long has this been known?! I thought below 50 you were SOL -

Quote:Server populations on the US side have been unbelievable ever since GR launched. Judging by server load indicator dots, Virtue and Freedom have been packed to capacity practically every day at US prime time, and the other servers exceed medium capacity almost every day, with at least one more reaching peak capacity from time to time.
If shortage of people is your worry, that does not seem to be a problem for the moment.
Sam... the OP was asking specifically about Defiant... EU side. They haven't merged the lists just yet.

Quote:I think their drop rate is up there with purples. It's the first and only one I have had drop, but friends have had them too.Cool, so they do still exist. I was really starting to wonder since everyone I asked in-game about that (after posting) said they had gotten one to drop in the first month after it was introduced to the game and hadn't seen one since OR had never seen one. Thanks for the info Diggis.

Quote:Cool, I'm a member of a reasonably active SG Heroside. I haven't rolled many defiant toons, but if you resub let me know, could be keen at having a look at how the other half lives. Also if I do 'take the plunge' and splash out on GR but find Defiant lacking I'll def look you up on Union Diggis, thank you for the offer

There is more to GR than just the Preatoria arcs, there is also the Tip and morality missions and the impending I19 incarnate slots.
As for server population, they're not packed, but there are plenty of people around. I'm on Union and haven't had problems finding teams recently. I find it's a combination of knowing which Global channels to join, making good friends on your globals, and joining an active SG. It can take a wee while to establish yourself but well worth it. Sunday night had me jumping from a Croatoa team to a SG STF and then a global channel Sister P TF.
If you roll some toons on Union look me up on @Dave N Smith and I'll happily join you for some mayhem. -
Quote:Excellent! Thank you muchly. My Stone\Elec\Mu tank will thank you.. when I get high enough.Yes, you are wrong. So be happy.
Basically, you need to be a villain to get the badge. Once you have the badge, it stays with you even if you switch sides, and allows you to continue to respec into the powers.
I'm hoping that a new mission (and possibly some new patrons) will be added hero side so the switching will no longer be needed. The problem has nothing to do with the powers, it's that heroes can't do the mission. -
Quote:I thought if you respec hero side you can't pick them again.. Am I wrong? (I would love it if I am.You need to go full villian, then do one of the patron arcs to unlock the patron pools. Once the pool is unlocked you can revert to hero, respec, or do whatever without loosing access to the ability to use patron pools.

I'm not? Weird. Cos, like Swellguy above, I can go for days without being logged off and then get kicked out multiple times in an hour. It appears to have gotten better lately (touch wood) but how long it lasts.... who knows.

Quote:They normally wait till an issue is live before releasing it. That way they know the numbers are correct according to live. I think they have a rule about Mid's only reflecting whats live.I just checked the Mid's website and it's not up yet. Does anyone know when they will update it? Do they normally wait until the issue is released? I never really worried about it before because it's normally months after an issue is released before I update my mid's because I normally don't have any level 50s immediately after a release that NEED to be planned out. This time I was trying to get a jump on it for the inherent fitness.

Quote:Yeah, this is what I had heard. Will have to check on that. Not how I was informed it worked. You HAD to have the alpha slot unlocked to run it, it's if you don't have anything slotted in it that you are debuffed 4 levels.
Quote:The arcs have their own badges, and the wording was a bit weird for the announcement, but it's here:

Quote:Hmmm, they weren't in the I19 list on the Main site...Don't forget the new arcs: Heroes in Paragon get an arc dealing with the teleport system, villains in the isles get an arc about the leviathan.
I thought I saw something on the beta forums about needing the slot unlocked before you could start it so wasn't sure. Would be worth testing. -
Little more specific:
Won't be able to access:
The Alpha Slot
Praetoria Zone Events
Primal Earth Characters Can Enter Praetoria
More Morality Missions
Two New Task Forces (nb I believe these require the alpha slot on members to start... not 100% sure)
You will be able to access:
More Tip Missions
New Auras
Fitness Pool powers now Inherent
Alternate Power Animations
New Badges
Merged Monorails and Ferries
Mission Architect Enhancements -
You'll need GR to enjoy the Incarnate ability and the arcs associated with it. Other items won't be gated like the inherent fitness, although I doubt you'll be able to access Praetoria with your existing toons.
