Just find your character map (charmap.exe, usually in C:\windows\system or \system32 if you're not on a Mac), find what you're looking for and cut and paste. I'm not positive the Greek letters are there, though.
**looks** Or maybe I am sure. ά Ω π
Ah, but it looks like this board doesn't reproduce them (UBB being a silly, archaic system). I wonder if it works in the MA -
Well, we still feel differently about whether the rules need to be enumerated or not, but I accepted the fact long ago that it's actually OK for people to disagree, so buy away!
Next round'll be on me. -
Patch sounds like good stuff to me. Thanks, devs!
-
Well, keep in mind on this first run, they didn't change ANYTHING from the way it is in the game (except the custom stuff, of course). The maps are the same, the characters are the same, yadda yadda. I'm sure adjusting things like that are on the board for later. It's not like they can flip a switch and say "scalable".
-
I hear they only come out at night.

What would be the easy fix, and is on a lot of people's "wish list" is the simple "you didn't really beat me because I'm teleporting away at the last minute" death emote, ala the Widow in the Tremblor's Faultline arc. I really hope they give us that option.

And, y'know, browsers like Firefox come with a spell-check built right in.
IE is de debbil, I say!

Exploits like rikti dolls, vamp chambers, snake eggs...take them out.
[/ QUOTE ]
The part I really want is "and then fix them so they're NOT an exploit, and put them back in". Of course, that's in the "possibly in the future" category. They're quite busy with what they've got on their hands at the moment. -
I don't know about no one. There's more than a few references in mine that only people who know me and my characters (primarily my SG) will get, but you don't need to get them to appreciate the arc. It's just "extra".

Custom characters are always 1-54. To restrict it, you have to add a mob that IS level restricted, from the "regular" game.
[/ QUOTE ]
This will not restrict the level of the custom group. It will just cause that mob to be added to the spawns during the levels that mob can appear
...
If you want a mission to only cover a particular range of levels, there needs to be something in the mission that is limited to appearing in those levels.
[/ QUOTE ]That's what Decorum meant. Add the restricted standard critter to the mission, not to the group.
[/ QUOTE ]
Correct. What I said was technically incorrectly worded, but for all practical purposes does what the OP was asking for. Sometimes it's better to apply KISS principle to answering questions rather than get bogged down in tech detail. . I could have been clearer and added "to the mission", though. Sometimes I miss stuff like that posting on the fly (EDIT function shall always be my BFF). -

As to the question about "does this mean we can never edit the file?" -- yes, that's what it means currently, though IGOR does not alter your original storyarc! It creates a new copy of it that is reduced. So, if you need to edit your story arc... edit the original then re-IGOR it. Its possible to do a lot of reduction while still leaving the IGOR file in a format that will not give errors... but if you edit it and re-save it... it'll be back to full size, so... best to publish the IGOR versions, but work on your original versions.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thank you. But, this can't be used to edit an already published arc, so to me personally...not even going to bother. No offense meant to your effort at all, of course. -

Jehovah's witnesses arent too bad if you answer the door wearing a loincloth, a goathead mask, and carrying a kriss blade. You look at the and say "the sacrafices are here!". they dont hang around much after that.

I'm a Pagan-type with a lot of theological knowledge. I invite them in to talk. They don't stay long, and they tell others of their evangelical type not to bother with me. -

The point is, it's not a conflation. It's what Posi actually SAID. Now, granted, that may have been misinterpreted by some, and exaggerated by others, but that's not the same thing.
[/ QUOTE ]
But here's the thing - we can both agree what Posi *said* because we can go look at it. However, we may have very different ideas about what he *meant*. I think he clearly meant one thing, and apparently you find it equally clear he meant something else. In the absence of further guidance, we are left to arguing intent, reason, and unfortunately semantics.
My best guess FWIW is that Posi had two goals in mind: 1) that any imbalances in AE be corrected, and 2) that all missions should at least be dressed up in a smidgin of story. But you are free to disagree with me.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope, that's pretty much how I'm seeing it, too. As always, I have no troubles with farmers, just with exploit farmers, which seems to be Posi's position, too. -
I did a friend's with him yesterday where his contact was a body bag, but I didn't bother to read it, as it's his farm.

If you have a "Defeat all" or "defeat all in final room" and there's a running boss, do you still succeed if he escapes?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not if "defeat boss" is a required objective. -
$target becomes problematic when the speaker has no target. $name is supposed to give the name without having a target.

While in reality, the only story type being asked for (or ran) in AE involves a completely unrelated element of great drama and play writing, known in most literary circles simply as Farm.

I've been harassing anyone on Victory Badges that tries to start a TF with "He's lying! It's a TRICK! I have it on good authority from the official boards that NO ONE is doing anything but MA farms!!!" -

Thing is, without the feedback, building balanced character is HARD in the MA. They're inherently tougher than similar characters in the normal PvE. Keep in mind that the builder may not even KNOW how tough they are, even after reasonably extensive testing. I came to some surprising revelations about my own arc when running someone else's on a big team (harder to get for testing than one might imagine). Try not to attribute to malice what could easily just be inexperience.
-
Maybe. Unless you can open the actual file (it's just a text file, easily opened with Notepad and which is what part is fairly intuitive) and see if anything obvious is there.
-
Oh, certainly, and I in no way think anyone did anything in the matter intentionally. And I'm not at all saying "This sucks! Stop it!" I just...I don't know, felt a need to express what I was seeing and my viewpoint on it. To offer a different perspective, as it were, not to step on anyone's toes nor to take the ball from their hands. I'll still be promoting the original tag as I have been. I just know how often things can unintentionally change from the viewpoint of "the outsider" and thought I should at least mention it.

However, some methods of gaining to XP may be considered by the devs to be too successful. When identified, the devs have the option of changing/nerfing such methods.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just to make sure it's clear, they also have the option of banning the person building it or advertising it in any way from using the MA system at all, and stated such in the Release notes. -
Which is likely not as intended, as it also spread to our actual characters' info boxes (just don't open the part where you type it in and it won't happen, but if you open it once...BAM, wall o' text). I really hope they get that one fixed.
