Sorry, for me, they are all truly Neverending Stories. Even death/deletion hasn't stopped a few of mine.

Yes, but the answer is "NO!" to getting more than ten enhancements back, so I'm in favor of more room for regular use. Getting more than ten back from a respec isn't even on the table, so no use even thinking about including it.

Quote:While it's better than current, those don't exactly look "normal". More like a bad Hollywood boob job.
Golden Girl has different criteria:
That still doesn't let me have a normal looking chest in a normal looking superhero outfit - like it won't work with the spandex/tights options. -
Welcome home! And, yes, isn't it amazing what can be accomplished if you're not trying to run your business on a shoestring.

Quote:Oh, definite agreement. TRUST NO ONE!
Lord_Nightblade retorts:
Oh the Letter Sender is creepy as hell, and I wouldn't trust him/her anymore than I would the Menders. The Sender just is as cryptic as the Menders, just as stingy with information, and is just as manipulative. Plus, all of the letters have a "side with me or else" undercurrent, cloaked in the illusion of a free choice between the Menders and the Sender when the time comes.
Quote:The main thing I'm curious about in this whole Coming Storm affair is whether we'll have a choice between siding with the Menders and the Sender, or whether we'll be joining the Sender by default. -
I'm a very pathetic geek. My computer's name is HAL 9000 and it's loaded up with HAL's voice instead of the default sounds.
And even I don't get that last part either. -
Quote:Heh, sounds just like me at first. And heaven help me if there was a fire kin on the team. Either Speed Boost or Fire imps messed me up, but both together? BEGIN THE TIME LAG DANCE!
Aggelakis was in the club:
I did so as well, and on crappy phone lines so I actually got slower connection than that, sometimes as low as 15k! Of course, when it was that low, I couldn't do much more than solo...eight-man teams were impossible, and don't even THINK about going to Atlas Park or participating in a Rikti Raid! LOL -
Quote:Sort of. I recommend hitting 5 (or whatever key) immediately after clicking so it's ready the second you appear, then click.
Laufeyjarson gets my tips:
I just put it on '5', and press 5 with my left hand and then click with the mouse. Make sure you've fully appeared before you press 5, then click again.
Get up in the sky. Less obstruction and easier to find a path. Less lag. My first ports are often straight up.
When I'm in laggy areas like Faultline, I tend to pop open one of my jet packs first just to avoid annoying lag drop-out-of-the-sky. -
Quote:Unfortunately, the same phenomenon quickly makes them become annoying as well.
EyeSlit should just turn on the radio:
Themesongs only work when they become engrained from hearing over and again. -
Agree with BrandX, "demons" in comics often have no religious connection nor any to the Christian hell. A lot of times they're just extradimensional creatures of some sort, sometimes pretending to be "agents of the Devil" and whatnot.

I already do this with binds on a lot of characters anyway. Sure, why not.

Pfftt to the rolling eye smiley. What we really need is an evil grin smiley!

Quote:Nice imagery. Well done!
Melancton paints a picture:
Not to mention the precedent in superhero comics that folks that were obviously blown to bits, crushed flatter than a pancake and/or given absolutely lethal doses of the evil serum/ray/gas and pronounced by the Coroner as Not Only Merely Dead, but Really Most Sincerely Dead and turned away by Miracle Max as hopeless cases... show up in a later issue having had an escape more amazing than Prince Herbert's, albeit with less singing, all better and no worse for the wear.
Quote:Don't get me wrong. I do have some quibbles with the writing and execution, but those are just my subjective preferences. Overall, loved the arc and the story and the dramatic intent.
But this is a superhero comic game. Yeah, yeah, we got a badge saying that the double died. The next badge will be the "I Got Better" badge at the utterly implausible reunion. It is how things work in superhero comics. -
That's how we all (readers and companies) viewed comic book time in the Silver Age. But the Bronze Age had to come along with obsessive fans and, worse, ex-fan writers and editor who thought it had to "make sense" inventing 7-10 year sliding timelines, etc. They should have just left it alone.

THANK you! I was basing the pronunciation on my admittedly limited knowledge of Latin, but just assumed it was a hole in my knowledge.

Quote:They're dimensional alternates. They're ALL "the original".
AzureSkyCiel doesn't get the concept:
Though, as a random thought, I had lately considered making a character who's big story would involve the Mirror arcs with the RPed reveal that HE'S the clone, the one who dies at the end is the original.
Or maybe the evil one is the original. -
Or just go in under Safe Mode on the laptop and adjust them from there.
-
Except that now you're expecting what amounts to CASH rewards for that, since those are things you currently have to buy.

**froths at the mouth in nerdrage!!!!1!**

Still the same answer. I basically don't let time enter into it except in my website timeline, and I fudge a lot of those dates to suit me.

Quote:As far as I know, time-sinks are a pretty big part of almost all MMOs with a monthly subscription. It's not a d*** move, it's normal and expected.
Quinch wants flames:
If you need some extra ammo, here's an observation - the counter arguments boil down to "badges are designed to be and should remain a time sink" which, if true, would be a pretty uncharacteristic d*** move on the developers' behalf -
Oh, I wasn't disparaging badgers, they can have their fun any way they want. I was just saying they have their own specific POV, like any other "faction" in this game.
EDIT: And looking over my post, I don't see that I said anything disparaging there.
