  1. I am currently working on a way to do this with 8 spine/ scraps (secondary unimportant)

    I will have a more formal post later with the math and whatnot but this is a general rundown:

    Basically 8 spines scraps spamming confront for the fatty range debuff
    All spine scraps have ranged builds
    Using impale, the scraps should be able to immob the AV or at least slow them enough
    Confront will lower the AVs range enough that the AV cannot attack the scraps
    Now, in theory, the AV will not be able to attack any of the scraps while they spam impale, confront, and throw spines (spine burst too if necessary)

    Only problem I can foresee:

    Lord Recluse.

    Basically the best way to deal with LR would be to stack up on purples. Have the strongest scrap constantly eating purples to stay at 100%+ defense levels while the other scraps mow through the towers and refill the tanking scrap. The tanking scrap could use the confront power and run around outside of LR's reduced range but close enough to keep aggro (but with such high def that might not even be necessary). Then, after the towers are down, use the same method to pwn LR.

    Anyone see problems with my logic?

  3. I think PrincessDarkstar really hit it right on.

    Just a sidenote to what PrincessDarkstar said, defenders have higher buff multipliers. It really does make a big difference. Especially comparing MMs with defenders.

    In regards to the defender inherit power, I really liked the idea someone mentioned about a "critical buff". Maybe something like a 10% chance to have a buff give its regular buff number, plus 25% extra. For example, you have a heal that hits 10 people and 9 of them gain 100 hp and 1 guy gets the critical buff; that guy would then gain 125 hp. I think it's an interesting idea that would fit well with the idea that defenders' primary focus is to help teammates. Keep in mind that I just made those numbers up off the top of my head and they could obviously be tinkered with.
  4. I cant imagine how many career-ending and possibly fatal injuries there would be without pads. I think my two main scraps play linebacker and WR respectively

I would guess a fire/therm corr along with an ice/therm troller. or perhaps cold instead oif therm. i think two therms would be best though since you would get great resistance and buffs, spam the AoE heal if necessary so you get constant health, and you would get one of the most devastating debuffs in the game...twice......and corrs and trollers deal enough dmg to quickly kill em
  6. I think all of your corrs except the kins would do well in RV. Even kins can be fun by using transference to suck their end really fast. Take that with a grain of salt though, I am not a corr or kin expert.

    I can also bring an emp defender. Or a fire/fire tank but it looks like Force has that covered

    Edit: I am most experenced with scraps so that is probably best and the scrap is IOd and the emp only has SOs....if it is impossible to get another emp (or a therm/pain) though, i can bring him

    Oh yeah, I already knew not to take DA but thx for the tip Only reason i would take it would be to make it easier for the toon to solo AVs in addition to pvp

    Yeah i put a large lump of cash in and he is pretty fun. So far my only deaths have been going against a cold corr and mind dom at the same time. (I havent really had much time to pvp yet though)
  11. Problem is, the devs dont have the manpower to create new content for both. I am sure they have lots of ideas they would like to do but they simply are unable to. For example, one of the devs posted that they wanted to do power customization a long time ago, but it was a huge job so they couldn't do it at the moment.

    When you look at the % of subscribers that are pve players and the % of pvp players, pvp is such a tiny minority that developing pve is more beneficial to the game. At least on Champion most play pve

    Well, my other pvp'r is a DM/invuln which is pretty un-Fotm......and if i really wanted to make a fotm i woulda gone BS/regen. Besides, it's pretty hard to do well with anythingg except the popular builds which is a shame

    To get maximum survivability out of a regen you want to go for maximum rech. Once you cannot get anymore rech into the build, go with enhances that will help your positional defense.

    I agree with most of your post. However, I have been playing the game for over three years without touching pvp a single time. Keep in mind that if devs only work on pvp then the pve side will go to sh**. If PvE is no fun, lvling new guys up will be no fun and THAT certainly will kill the game. Nobody is gonna spend countless hours lvling a new guy up if it is no fun, even if the pvp at the end is great.

  18. All of my veteran slots that I have accumulated on champion server currently say "Unavailable". I deleted a toon that was on a veteran slot and I am unable to create a new toon. Anyone else having that problem?

  20. It all depends on the context. but for the majority of the game, I would take the player. When would I refuse a great player in favor of another? If I had a team with 7 blasters all about to do the sewers, and another veteran blaster wanted to join but I also had an offer from a newbie FF defender, I would take the defender. Granted, that is an unlikely scenario but it is only in situations similar, that I would take a noob over a vet. Even on MoTF runs I would prefer the vet because someone who has never done a tf before can easily make a team phail all over the place. An unneccessary vet on an MoTF team will not ruin the team, just maybe not help it as much as he/she could with an optimal build/AT.

    wtf does that even mean? you are just making yourself sound like an idiot to any half-educated person that reads your post

    It is impossible to accurately compare ATs. Not a single one can do 100% of the content better than all the other ATs.

    LMAO....anywho, complaining about the pvp system that was instituted way back in i13 just drives people away from pvp. if you talk about a real intense fight you had or how fun the recent pvp event was, more people will be drawn to pvp (not entirely the devs' fault people left). thats what you want right? if not, keep up the good work! you are doing a fantastic job of keeping people away from pvp.....i am not blaming any single person here...Meg...but more the griping pvp community as a whole

    so dont take personal offense and get mad at me. I am not taking a side as to which pvp system is better, just pointing out that everyone is driving people away from pvp
  23. Not sure if you are referring to my build or not. If so, I have Focused accuracy in the build to give some extra to-hit and perception, although i see the value of assault and tactics.
  24. Oh yeah, I think this build could probably solo some AVs nicely too.
