It's not just in this game or even just in MMOs. Seems like every site I go to these days is being invaded by more and more spammers.
-
I don't believe we are going to see a huge influx of new players. Some new players, sure, and some returning players, but it's not gonna be CoV all over again. The game has passed its peak.

Superhero Name Generator is always a good place to start.

Quote:The Center sort of functions like that, only without an HP bar.I want to see a "true mastermind" of an AV. The way I envision it is the AV has 100 or 500 or 1000 hit points, but is completely invulnerable to attack. Instead, he loses HP as his henchmen are defeated. It could be scaling somehow, that minions defeated make him lose 1 hit point, while LTs make him lose 2 and bosses make him lose 4, or something like that.
The point is you don't focus on defeating him, but you still have to deal with his attacks and his henchmen. -
I've been having this same bug off and on since I17 went Live and I've posted about it twice now (apparently I forgot that I had already posted about it, oops
). No mobile card here, I'm running a Radeon HD5570. I've had this happen upon loading a character for the first time in a session, or switching characters. Once this happens, restarting the client is the only thing that will fix it (although sometimes you'll hit the problem again once you relog, in which case you need to restart the client AGAIN).
Of all the problems I have with I17, this is one of the most obnoxious. The transparent UI (which incidentally seems to be a separate issue from the vanishing HP/end/XP bars) makes the game very difficult to play since I'm not used to seeing the game that way. -

They weren't saying anything meaningful, they were just the voices of the respective characters from the Capcom fighting games when they do their moves (like Wolverine's Berzerker Barrage).

Quote:Wow, that's wrong. The cap is 2 billion, the same amount the OP lost. Why on earth would you keep that much inf just sitting in Email cyberspace??? You know toons can hold unlimited amounts, right?? And quite safely! Wow.......I guess you live and learn!

Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning are only for people who have pre-purchased (and once it comes out, purchased) the Going Rogue expansion.
Shield Defense is incompatible with certain powersets: Claws, Spines, Dual Blades, Katana.
Population is certainly not the highest it's ever been but the game is far from dead. Global channels are the best places to find teams these days. -
Particle effects is what you'd be looking for in this instance.

Make sure you're using your City of Heroes password and not your NCSoft account password. They're different (or they can be, anyway). Failing that, file a Support ticket.
-
That seems to be the least of your problems -- you have no hands or feet!

I noticed that too, but a Google search seems to suggest that listmanager.lyris.ncsoft.com is legit. And the links redirect to the French Aion page (fr.aiononline.com).
-
I noticed this too, it began with I17 (I also noticed it during I17 Closed Beta).
I don't know about the archetype music being different, but the intro music for blueside has definitely been modified slightly. -
Wasn't really sure where to put this, I figured it didn't quite fit in Player Questions since it's not really about the game.
So I just got an e-mail about Aion in French. It seems to be legit, describing a new update to the game and I think it mentions a Double XP Weekend. Here's the thing -- I don't have an Aion account. Never have. Also I'm not French. Has anyone else every gotten anything like this? -
If you want to Walk faster, might I suggest Sprint?

Quote:Not his classic costume, no. I can't find a picture but I know he's had a look similar to that at one point. (But again, it can be done a lot better with Tech Banded, although I believe you lose the metallic sheen.)I'm sorry but this is no where near as close to what Colossus is.
His Jacket/Shorts aren't there, and well in all honesty for those that are reporting you for Colossus imitation -- They really need to read the comic/look at him more. >.<;
I think if anything, Metallic is more at risk of being imitated for Silver Surfer then any other character. -
Not spoiling anything, but Rularuu/the Shadow Shard has nothing to do with the mirror arcs. You're close when it comes to the blueside arcs in that extradimensional shenanigans are involved (I'll say no more :X), but the redside arcs are pretty down-to-earth.
-
It does bear a resemblance, although I believe Colossus can be done better in our costume editor.

The character description editor has been borked forever. Yet another area of the game that needs a "respec"...

A short while ago I was really bored, so I recreated some of my toons in AE as Extreme Arch-Villains and set them against each other. Although in some cases a squishy would be confronted with a toon with an armor set and be defeated, mostly they would just pound away at one another since neither had enough DPS to overcome the other's regen. And these are just normal AVs. Master-Blade is right, they would both keep hitting each other.

I made a ripoff Venom and Carnage that I have sitting in Breakout on some server, but I forget what they were. Let's see...
Looks like Venom was a SS/DA Brute, Carnage was a Spines/Regen Stalker.
Yeah, I didn't do a very good job with those, did I. In hindsight, I guess Venom would be /Willpower, and Carnage maybe Claws/Regen. (Problem is, the Stalker ability to Hide is something that Venom used more than Carnage.) -
Wait, people seriously farm GMs in AE? They don't even give good experience!

*I'm never sure whether or not the Bruiser is fixed. I know at one point there was a fix but he may have been broken since, I don't play my Thugs MM enough these days to know.
*...Robotics Masterminds don't get a flamethrower. Are you referring to the Assault Bot's Flamethrower? I wasn't ever aware of it being bugged.
*PvP is unchanged since you left.
*They're trying, god bless 'em. For every farm exploit that gets patched, another one is discovered. You can't really blame the devs for these unless you blame them for the root cause, which is allowing XP in the Architect to begin with, which is definitely where they screwed up.
*Was end-game content ever broken? (Unless you mean something else by "fixed"...) Still, to answer your question, we are supposed to be getting a full-fledged end-game system beginning in Going Rogue/Issue 18 to be further expanded on in Issue 19. Called the Incarnate System, it will allow your level 50 character to become more powerful. It will involves raids in special zones. Anything more than this beyond speculation. Some believe this will involve level 50s being granted 10 global enhancement slots, but again this is speculation. We also don't know if this will work similar to redside Patrons and require your character to align themselves with a Greek deity (since Statesman is meant to be an incarnation of Zeus, Recluse is Tartarus, etc.). It's possible that the system is simply called "Incarnate" as a reference to game lore and will have nothing to do with the details of the system.
Wait, more things about the Incarnate System! Details I left out/maybe new? (I'm not sure):
From here:
Quote:I've heard a few people discuss possibilities for what Issue 19 is, and the name "Incarnates" has been around, but this was the most concrete information I'd heard from a solid source. Of course, it's hearsay for you now, but that's just how it goes.
The Incarnate System is designed to give players end-game content. It adds "Incarnate Levels" to level 50 characters. The first Incarnate Level comes with Going Rogue, and was called "Alpha" during the talk. It adds "Incarnate Abilities", which are situational powers to allow the 50-Alpha characters to do additional things.
Issue 19 adds more Incarnate Levels and Abilities, new rewards, new zone events for Incarnates.
Going Rogue will be required to participate in the Incarnate system. Some of the zone events will take you to Praetoria.
