    BLASPHEMY!

You don't use alkiehol for molotovs, you use gasoline like any red-blooded, redneck zombie fighter!
  2. However, I do think we need to up Lumi's med dosage...

The majority of his friends are fish. And not the good kind of fish like silver dollars or sunfish, but the no-goodniks that live on the wrong side of the little plastic castle or the scuba guy.

He's angry because all they talk about is the Atlantic Shore and not his favorite things like the Fish Fry Channel.

He's Aquaman. He's always been a bit of a jerk. Especially when he realizes that he's useless on dry land. Plus, add in the whole bit with Mera, whom I think tends to be a bit...domineering...let's say.

He is, however, a seasoned military veteran who now has plausible deniability for his death. Making him a good fit for the Suicide Squad and a test subject for a regenerative/age-reducing new drug. After all, if your drug can work on a person of that age, think what it can do for someone in their prime.

This is, probably, a pre-regenerative/enhanced, Slade. Due to the fact that prior to the kaboomey, he still had both eyes. The end scene showed him missing an eye. It was probably also the point where he got supersoldierized.

It kind of sucked to see them make Deathstroke an old man, though. Also, they kinda just glossed over his and Clark's escape from that place. And it looks like it's going to be really easy for them to get lost in all the arcs they've got going, what with Darkseid and the registration act and the Suicide Squad and the return of Luthor and Clark finally becoming Superman.
Except Deathstroke kinda is an old man.

Deathstroke DCU toy. There's stuff out there showing him unmasked from the comics, but this is the closest thing I could find (quickly) to be "official" depiction of him.
  9. The one and only lesson that my (99.99% probability of never going to exist) children need to know is that a friend will bail you out of jail, but a real friend will be in there with you...

    Eee! Yay for Deathstroke!

    Also Mera = teh hawt.
  14. Yay! More DC 'toons. Never got into Batman: Brave and the Bold due to the VA for Bats. Sorry Oswald, Conroy is always gonna be animated Batman to me.

    Chuck 11/15/10

I half-thought that the entire mission was a CIA setup strictly to get Chuck to break through the mental block. Everything from the bad guy to the freezer to the diamonds to Rob's swan dive.

It would be neat if it was.

    Chuck 11/15/10

The not-PSP was to suppress it and essentially strip Chuck of being able to use it (presumably in case he goes rogue or something I'd guess). The watch controls the electrical pulses from the intersect and keeps Chuck's brain from going kaflooey, iirc the MacGuffin explanation.

What bothers me is that they had that entire secret base thing and they didn't really do anything with it. There was potential there for so much and it was wasted on the backstabbing mother (don't care that she slipped Sarah a blade, she's still a backstabbing witch and isn't worth a drop of toad mucus).

I'm betting all the "Merle's" I've dealt with would have a fairly decent shot at surviving too. All are well armed, isolated from society, good at surviving on next to nothing. Just depends how sober they are when it hits the fan
Well, World War Z does state, iirc, that the U.S. had the greatest number of people surviving as the archetypical Last Man On Earth, due to the individualistic nature of our society (once you get out of the major cities that is).

I have to chuckle every time they find a new way to show Sarah in her skimpies. Also, my onscreen guide, iirc, called Jeffster the "Buy Morons". Never heard/seen that before.
  20. I kept meaning to watch the season, but never got around to it. Hopefully, they'll have a marathon of all the eps one of these weekends.
  21. To clear up the timeframe bit...

    *****SPOILERS*****

In the comic, Laurie finds out she's pregnant. Dale advisers her to take the secret of the (potential) father to the grave. She can't know for sure if it was Shane or if it was Rick. That says that the timeframe is short enough, i.e. maybe a month since Rick went into the coma, that she could pass the child off as a premie from when her and Rick hook-up when they meet again. Anything longer than that and it would be unmistakeable that Rick was not the father.

However, given that it was a single hook-up in the comic vs a continuing hook-up in the show, as well as the not-guaranteed nature of pregnancy, it could have been a lot longer.

    *SPOILER END*

Also, he was Svenning in the movie Mallrats (a seriously underrated flick).

Edit - Hmm...also, not painting the South in a particularly generous light...
  23. I have zero sympathy for Shane and negative sympathy for Laurie. Cripes, Rick's body wasn't even cold and she's moving on and he's moving in. They managed to make her even less sympathetic than the comic version.

No, Spidey died DURING OMD/May getting shot.

What actually happened was Peter DID get shot and everything experienced since then has been his mind going through the paces of dying.

The whole thing with May? His conscious mind not believing that he COULD be shot, so instead it has to be his frail, old Aunt. Mephisto? His subconscious fears taking over in the final moments before his mind shuts down.
