It sounds like a sandwich. "I'll have the Shadow Meld and a Coke!"

The only thing better than Eagle's Claw is a critting Eagle's Claw. Placate lets that happen with great regularity.
In Boss fights especially, it's invaluable.
Placate is a core Stalker power. Never doubt it.
That is the word of Daemodand! -
Electric has Buildup, so it's the go-to PvP Assault set.
-
Fiery Melee is perhaps the most underrated Brute primary. It's way, way better than it usually get credit for.
And the only thing that's better than Fiery/Fiery, is Fiery/Shield. -

How about adding a reverse mechanic? When your team is low on health you get an endurance discount. When your team is full you get a small damage boost. Have it scale from one to the other as your team heads into the red.

I like this idea. Just make sure the Defender himself is counted in the Vigilance (unlike the current Vigilance where the Defender isn't counted).
Also, Defenders as a class are going to have a crisis soon: competing with Corruptors. Defenders need some work if they're going to stay competitive in Rogue. -
BABs is a good choice. Of all the iconic characters, BABs seems like the nicest and most fun (not to mention mentally stable lol).

Night Widows get Mind Link and Elude. I love my Bane, he's my fave VEAT, but Banes have zero answer to that kind of survivability. Yes, you can enhance your survivability by doing things like take the pets, take the Web Cocoon, and practice blapping tough opponents, but the Night Widow has freaking Mind Link AND Elude. Throw Scaling Resists in there for the Night Widow, too. There's no beating that for the Bane. There just isn't.
Banes are still my fave though! -
A "mob" is a single, typically mobile, attackable entity. A "spawn" is a group of mobs all aggro-linked. This is player jargon. People who (incorrectly) use "mob" to refer to a spawn are usually inexperienced with MMOs, as mistaking the jargon "mob" for the English word "mob" (a homonym of the jargon "mob") is an easy trap for the uninitiated to fall into.
"Critter" is dev jargon which means approximately the same thing as the player "mob". It makes sense devs and players would have two different jargons as player jargon is meant to aid in playing the game, and dev jargon is meant to aid in making the game. I see no reason why a player couldn't use "critter" instead of "mob", except the larger MMO player community may not recognize or understand "critter" as easily as "mob". -
If you want to play WP in its conventional form, go with a Scrapper. If you want to play a modified form of it without Rise to the Challenge and without Quick Recovery, but with a heal (Reconstruction) and stealth, play a Stalker.

Yes, many thanks to CuppaManga for all the hard work on this issue. Very much appreciated!

I'm not sure how relevant it will be, but I play a bots/ff mastermind and I rarely lose my bots.

The only question is, how much coffee do you drink to stay awake?Me: 1 gallon/hour

It's a pretty solid PvP secondary. Much better in Siren's than in RV in my experience.
If only FF weren't so gosh darn boring in PvE lol. -
Ah, the Carnies! Where the women are bored socialites and the men are corpses!

Banes and Night Widows are both beastly soloers.
Banes have style, toys and very respectable damage output, and are pretty Endurance efficient. "EXECUTIONER'S STRIKE!" is one of the most satisfying attack texts in the game. Bane armor looks very good. They are squishy, though. Banes are my personal favorite. They are the love child of Darth Vader and the Predator.
Night Widows have awesome damage output and are very safe. Very demanding on the Endurance. Make a female one so you can get the butt cape (mine's male).
Forts and Crabs are much more comfortable on teams, though they can be soloed too, but Banes and Night Widows are both superior soloers.
Do what I do and play them all. -
I wouldn't recommend Grav for a brand new Dom player. Take anything except Mind (Mind is a fine set, but gives you an atypical Dom play experience compared to every other set) instead. Read the Dom guides, too.
-
Don't take the Snipes. They run completely counter to the Dom play style. And given the changes to Doms, building Domination out of combat is nowhere near as useful as it once was.
-
If you ask me, it's due for a nerf bat. AS is better than a lot of tier 2 and 3 primary set attacks, and that's just plain broken. Compare it to any other pool attack; it's better than them all by a wide margin.

Tanks are great if you hate being defeated and want to fill a team support role. Brutes are great if you want to be a primary damage dealer and a somewhat higher probability of defeat doesn't bother you. Tanks probably do more for a team but Brutes soloability is far superior. So:
Tank: rarely defeated; good team support; low damage for the first half of your career; poor soloer (especially at low levels; 40+ Tanks can actually be great soloers).
Brute: high damage; solid soloer 1-50; somewhat more likely to be defeated; adequate team support.
If you're thinking Scrapper, Brute is the only real choice between the two. If you want to be more team oriented, the Tank is the superior choice. -
If the market is the only reason you play this game, there are far superior economy simulators you can be playing. EVE is ---->

I need the market because I want inventions. Without a market, inventions would be hopeless.
[/ QUOTE ]
The market would most likely be replaced by a system where you can trade dropped recipes for recipes of the same rarity that you actually want, or something similar.
The market is among the worst ways to implement giving people what they want. Look at the AE ticket system and purchasable salvage. That's much closer to how the system should work instead of a market. -
Yes you can get Call Reinforcements on a Bane. In fact, it's highly recommended. I don't know if you're confused or not.

Hi BattleClinic! Long time no see. I was pretty active there back in my Starfleet Command playing days. Nice to see you still going!

1. OSX 10.4.11
2. I didn't reboot
3. Created and deleted a new folder successfully.
4. Don't have it but it's probably just like those above.
5. I vote for Muon as guinea pig. -

stuck in a loop in repeatedly downloading "cider-COHD-Updater-002591.tgz"
Problem unresolved.
