  1. I like standing in plain sight watching them fall down over and over until they cant stand up again myself, but I guess corners work too

    Super team

If you have 3 x AM then everyone on the team also has perm hasten and + 75% damage. Also they all give +recovery so endurance really isn't an issue. Most /rad super teams don't even need to take stamina.

3 x LR would mean AVs at -1500% regen, they'd also have their defence, tohit, resistance flawed and significant - damage. Rad's stack well.

    I'd take a /dark or a /paindom over your sonic.

Elec/fire brutes would be my pick (yes I'm biased, but damn its devastating)

Oh and I think people are more willing to play corrs in regular teams. If I was more active in game at the moment I'd sign up a /dark corr for a regular team, but I wouldn't want to play one if I had to team hunt or solo
  4. I use it with my Fire/TA when oilslick is down, I'm used to spamming cages anyway so why not. It kicks out alright damage

    Super team

Brutes don't need to herd, or spend time building fury to be effective, and my Fire/DA brute can two or three shot bosses (depending on fury/build up) anyway. With that amount of buffs you dont need to worry too much about trying to run at full fury, but full fury will happen anyway. A good brute can build fury from either attacking or being attacked. Mostly its a combination of the two.

The most fun team I was ever on was 5 brutes, 3 dominators. It was a completely random team, just happened that way, but we blitzed missions stupidly fast, took down AVs without buffs or debuffs and just generally had a laugh. The fun of it was the racing through trying to build domination and fury, not stopping on each mob just rolling on. There was no herding or grouping of foes, they just fell before us and that's what should happen on a super team, the team should be good enough to sweep through foes without a pause. Corrutors, brutes and dominators can all kill bosses plenty fast enough, and AoEs take down bosses too, if you target them

    Super team

I'll go with a serious suggestion. Try throwing in more dominators and a brute or two. Both work well rocking through at maximum speed. In fact I probably wouldn't take a stalker or a MM in a super team because they will slow the whole thing down. Maybe take the chance to play a lessor rolled brute, like an /EA cause with everyone build for teaming with leadership it doesn't overly matter if they have a weak primary or secondary, all that matters is fury.

    1) Mace/EA brute (hey, its a laugh, how many have you seen)
    2) Plant/Elec dominator
    3) Fire/Elec dominator
    4) Axe/Fire brute (someone with burn would be good with those doms and AVs)
    5-8 corruptors to taste

Edit: Or is this just meant to be a Super Group Team where you'd just got an SG that all want to play something rather than actually trying to be efficient? The list you've put out has too much downtime for my liking, and I rarely teamed with my MMs pre-I13 for that reason and there's still downtime with them now. Solo its fine, but waiting for AS to set up, or minions to be summoned on teams stops the fast paced play that I love about this game.

    Respec recipes ?

One build for levelling and IOs or one build for levelling and several for IOs seems to be my lot.

My Elec/Mental/Elec has the same power choices and slots as it picked up on the way to 50, so does my Broadsword/SR (though in hindsight having parry in and ditching it on IOs would have been bright). In comparison my DM/SR has had 3 builds since hitting 50 (though it was my first to hit 50) and my Rad/Rad defender has used 6 respecs in total, including free ones. Only one of these was post 50. My Claws/WP is probably due its 3rd build at some point, but I want to purple it up too, so it might end up with a 4th. None of my other 50s are likely to change though and my Cold/Dark/Power defender will be fine with its 1-50 build just being IO'd

Television and Radio are quite nuts.
Cant really think of many NPCs atm.

You claim that the radio is talking you, asking you to do things for it, and you think the radio is nuts?

Heh heh. Much merriment at that comment here

At least the radio pretends to be a normal radio station, Television is just crazy.

Exactly, the sort of people that need more respecs are not the people likely to get vet ones or have logged up enough time to get a few drop for them

Or do a respec trial, which is quicker than a lot of TF's anyways.

    Fahie

    [/ QUOTE ]

Can only do it 3 times and many players used all their respecs :-)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wow, I cant even think of one of my characters that would not have a respec handy. Most of them have something between 2-4 unused respecs and most of them have only ever been respec'd once or twice.

    [/ QUOTE ]

After I5 they did another patch to Rad which meant my Rad/Rad defender needed to shuffle the build around. I's used my 3 earned ones (cause it was my first character) and my free one.

Since then I've not even needed to do a trial on any character but I have seen the sort of situation where it could matter.
  13. 1)Cap is 90% for Dam Res on a tank
    2)Total for the build
    3) Click on the combat attributes tab in game. As an inv only S&L will get to the cap (it is possible to cap it with tough as well) Invincible gives defence not resistance which is whether or not the cap hits you. The soft cap is 45% and I think the hard cap is 200% (not 100% sure on that). It is possible to get to 45% on invul with 1 in melee I think but it takes a lot of set work. 200% you wont get without serious outside help
  14. I've parked my VEAT cause I cant figure out what the hell I actually want in the build, there's too much. Same reason I parked my WS actually, but I parked my VEAT earlier
  15. If sheild is as poor as WP then you can include that in the mix. However this is still by far the easiest MMO to hold agro in, the other 5 tank primaries should be able to hold agro for most teams with just the agro aura running (hell an Ice could probably go AFK and not lose any) and one AoE attack hitting will out agro anything else the team can throw.

This is from someone still playing, who has tanked to level 50 and played since euro launch. Sure when Taunt was uncapped it was easier, but it is still no trauma to hold agro with at least 5 of the tank primaries. An Inv scrapper may cause dificulties for non inv and ice tanks agro wise because the Inv aura is that damned good even scaled for a scrapper but one AoE from the tank should pull it back. Threat is easy for a tank to gain in this game.

Good work Dr Destiny. But seeing all these great portraits I am missing one thing.

I want to know more about who they are. Would be great if people could put a bio up there.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Iskra isn't her given name, she's not even Russian. Born and raised in Orange County in the shadow of Disney Corporation you wouldn't have expected her to turn out the way she did. Or maybe you would. Her true name is a secret but it is also fairly meaningless for she was nobody. Nobody special at least. Her father raised her by himself when he wasn't working security for which ever office needed him. She had the normal jealousy associated with the have nots, and she was never really excepted by the rich folk she knew. Her life changed during puberty in the most drastic of ways. Anyone that knows her now could tell you how, hell the sparks shooting from her eyes probably give you a clue. That's right she was a mutant. A freak. An outcast and a poor one at that. Keeping it a secret from her father was easy enough, but some how someone found out. Someone else that worked for the Corp her father was guarding. A crey agent. So she was captured, tested on, studied and then forgotten about. Turns out electrical emanation isn't all that rare these days. At least not in paragon city, the lab she spent the last 5 years in. She spent 5 years without contact with the outside world, save for television and an old book on the Russian Revolution. Now the combination of the two caused something to click. There was so much wrong in the world, so much inequality. Wasn't that exactly what Lenin was trying to prevent? For the first time she actually engaged her mind on the task of escaping, cause now she had a reason to escape. The reason? REVOLUTION!

That's just a bit from the first draft of her history, the second draft never got finished and ended up fairly messy and inconsistent. But I hope it helps
  17. Oh for some moral grey areas, I'd renew my second and third accounts for some moral grey areas, I'd stop playing EQ2 for some moral grey areas.

    But I'm being too hopeful
  18. Valentines event for me this year will be soloing through Everquest 2 then, with any luck there'll be some sort of aniversery event worth going to

Appearance of the place looks good.

It's also nice to see the re-emergence of the story-type intros that accompany the Issues.

Can we get the same level of detail (story-wise) for the forthcoming Valentine's event?

Hallmarks attempt at world dominance finally played out as a storyboard is something I'd like to see
  20. Please take into account willpower tanks. They're allowed to lose agro due to a poor aura. Other tanks should have no excuse. In most situations Ice and Inv dont need to attack to hold agro if they actually think about positioning but one AoE at their threat level on top of the aura and nothing much should drag attention away. Remember to wait that whole second for the tick.

Having said about WP tanks mine can hold agro by simply spamming combustion so the taunt aspect of the tank attacks is just fine. If a WP can hold agro any tank failing is just taking up space on the team that could be filled by some thing else. Or someone not on the mission for that matter
  21. 6 man team is good or a 5 man on the even difficulties.

Oh and I picked up 4 purples between level 47 and 50 on my Spine/Invul while soloing CoT papers
  22. Claw/WP was my favourite trip to 50, though it was in a duo with another scrapper. My BS/SR was my fastest scrapper to 50 solo. BS and Fire are both good primaries on a scrapper to solo fast.

My Ill/Rad can solo GMs without an IO build but in general missions its much slower than my scrappers. My DM/SR can solo AVs almost as fast as my Ill/Rad but it did have a bundle of inf spent on it to do that.

If you want to be soloing AVs without being an Ill/rad then an SR scrapper is probably your best bet, Fire/SR, Claws/SR and DM/SR being the ones I'd take

If you want to take down lots of mobs fast and are willing to splash out to cover end loss then Spine/Fire is excellent scrapper wise.

I'm a bit of a scrapper fan all round to be honest. Maybe it shows with half my 50s being scrappers

Oh and Fire/Rad controllers are fairly lovely solo wise, once again end watching is somewhat required
  23. Spine/Fire is fairly nice too (though I use Spine/Inv when I want to farm cause I tend to be doing other stuff at the same time and the survivability helps when you're alt+tab'd out)

If only claws were there for brutes, its the only way it could be more fun

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've thought about that before....it would be hilariously unbalanced. Take about a nanosecond to reach full fury in pretty much any situation at all.

Still the only way you could beat the funness of a claw/WP scrapper

There is no powerset combo that would make it difficult to get to level 50 solo.

    [/ QUOTE ]Stone Melee/Dark Armor. Especially for a first-timer.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Damn you were there before I brought up my Fire/DA (fairly painful end wise and no mitigation in the primary despite a fiery death)

I found Fire Armour to be the most fun secondary on a brute and I cant really get my WP going in comparison. I do love WP on my scrappers though and my FA ones tend to get left behind
