The music in general for the game bar atlas park is rather poor

[/ QUOTE ]That's rather cruel and unfair. At least villainside, there's several tunes that are pretty damn good. Mercy, New Haven and Spider City come to mind.

    Dark/?

Both have their merits. Sonic Attack won't have you cursing and swearing whenever you're up against anything robotic, for example.

As for the KD, Psi's only attacks with Knock* are Telekinetic Blast (mag 8.31 Knockback) and Psionic Tornado (mag 1.4 Knockup). Tornado will probably do knockdown at lower levels (Knock* effectivity scales up as you level up), or against higher-conning targets. And even when it doesn't, Knockup is pretty much Knockdown anyway, only with ragdoll effects, so the difference hardly matters. The magnitude isn't that high anyway.

I'd like to claim, though, that the debate on how much -damage- either powerset does is largely academic in nature. Dark Miasma is a spammy primary as it is, so your secondary will mostly be useful for its side-effects, especially because a Defender puts out a fairly low portion of the damage in a team. And I daresay Sonic's -res is a more useful side effect than Psi's -rech, in teams. This is, of course, especially evident when fighting single hard targets like AVs or GMs, where Sonic Attack starts looking more like a second Debuff set to go with your primary...
  3. Anything with low downtime, yet few clickies for a more relaxed playstyle.

    You know, Willpower.

And if you plan to solo, pick single target focused primaries like Dark Melee, rather than AoE focused primaries like Spines.
  4. Don't be so sure. Although Flurry received a ridiculous damage boost, some powers with -extremely- long animations (Full Auto anyone?) actually had their damage -nerfed- (sometimes even cut in half) for no explainable reason for i13 PvP.

It's really weird. Don't bother trying to understand it.
  5. Speaking of black copters, can the one in Fort Darwin get a function already? Please?
  6. Pure black male widow with round helm looks no different from any other generic assassin guy. Various other color combinations pull the look off, too. It's all in the colors. Shiny skintight RED latex doesn't work for men.
  7. Portal Corp's existence eliminates any risk of character defamation.

Just say it's a version of the character from an alternative reality, Praetorian Earth or otherwise.

    Or a Nemesis Automaton.
  8. Hm, I swear there's a post asking about procs like this at least once a month. Did we recently have a purge or something? (No ill will targeted at the OP.)

The heal penalty is only on yourself. As a Pain Domination Mastermind, if you're getting shot at enough that you constantly have to bust out heals on yourself, you've pretty much failed. Boodyguard will make you largely invincible in any situation where you really need it such as an ambush.

Share Pain is fantastic. The heal is absolutely enormous and costs no endurance, so you can use it to keep your minions or even more usefully, your team mates, alive even when you're running right up to your end limit. Not to mention that Mastermind pets frequently get smashed for most of their health. Having two big heals in Soothe and Share Pain affords your minions vastly more survivability, since you always have that hefty end-free backup when the chips are down and everyone is getting ramrodded by Freak Tanks or something.

[/ QUOTE ]Not much to add to this post other than my personal stamp of approval, for what it's worth. /e thumbsup
  11. Elemetal color theming - done to death. Four out of five fire-users wear red costumes. The rest don't wear costumes at all, and wear street clothing. Very few exceptions.
Especially noticeable with Dark Miasmists, who wear black - my Thugs/Dark is guilty of this, sadly, but he's wearing biker leather...

It gives mostly AoE and some typed for one bonus, and mostly typed and some AoE for the other bonus. It's a result of the pairing, yes.

Blessing of the Zephyr –KB IO (can it go in sprint?)

    [/ QUOTE ]Nope.
  14. Looks pretty solid at a glance. I'd remove one of the Resistance IOs in Strength of Will (will still cap S/L, not much loss for the other resistances) or one of the Taunt IOs in Rise to the Challenge and add the third Blessing of Zephyr IO to Super Speed for a tiny bit more Fire/Cold defense, maybe.

101.8 max end instead of 100

[/ QUOTE ]I'd assume anyone serious enough to spend inf on softcapping defense would also be serious enough about the toon to get the accolades for 20% more MaxHP and 10 more MaxEndurance. So, 111.8?
  16. Customizable pets would be, as far as I know, pretty damn difficult to implement, though it'd be a function many people (including myself) would undoubtedly love.
Basically, using the call pet power summons a specific mob under your control, and this mob is shared between all instances of this power - the pets are not individually tied to you (aside from their names, which often bug up and get misapplied between resummoning anyway). As far as I know, anyway.

Besides, they're using mob models, not player models, and thus can't really be customized in the sense that players can, anyway, due to their costumes being one whole piece as opposed to multiple pieces (not counting the Upgrade costume additions, which are specially made for each specific pet model anyway), and having unique aspects to them.

So, they'd need to assign each and every MM's pets (all 6 of them) directly to the MM summoning them - which adds a whole bunch of extra data for the server to keep track of, and would require a LOT of bugtesting to make sure your pets don't accidentally trade costumes between one another between resummoning as it happens with names sometimes (or between other players' pets, or any other possible bugs that could pop up). Not counting changes to appearance from Upgrade powers.
And there'd have to be something done about the costumes themselves - revamp pet appearances so they all only use player costume options? Do this, but keep their unique costumes as extra options (if these options are not proliferated to players as new costume options, expect protests)? Give the pets limited, pet-specific costume option choices similar to VEAT uniform customization? What happens to Robotics, who don't even use a normal human skeleton?

Also, I sincerely doubt we'll ever be allowed to make the pets look exactly like members of existing factions anyway, for various reasons - confusion in missions when fighting against said faction, among others.
  17. Well, canonically Wolf Spiders have never been gender-restricted. The fact that there are no in-game NPC female Wolf Spiders is simply because the devs didn't have time to put them in at the time.

A helmetless option would be pretty sweet, though.

Also, females wearing Bane/Crab armor look quite nice.

    Dark/?

That's still mostly describing Dark Miasma.

Sonic gets the single target stun too, and instead of a single target sleep you have a cone sleep that's perma unenhanced. Trades -rech for -res (usefulness may vary, matter of preference). Psi doesn't have KD, it has KU, but I admit they're similar in function. Sonic has a cone KB, if you like KB... Psi does have the handy immob.

    Dark/?

    Sonic. 'Nuff said.
  21. The +def from Maneuvers really doesn't justify the cost in this situation, I would possible recommend it if you had any Defense buffs in your secondary (FF, Traps). Otherwise, you won't get much of an improvement anyway. The thing with defense is, the more you have of it to begin with, the better the improvement you'll get from additional defense, until you hit the soft cap. With this powerset combination you'll be rather low in Defense anyway, so it doesn't seem practical - also, Masterminds have increased endurance costs, so if you're getting another toggle, it might as well be something with good returns for the investment.

I'd pick a Resistance-based armor to stack with World of Pain. Also, try to get your hands on the two +10% resistance pet aura unique IOs.

    Firebug Badge..

50? You only need 10 arsons for the badge, not 50.

Many when making them will go for the full 6 pet option (including patron pet) which I personally think is a mistake and the aoes should be the focus.

    [/ QUOTE ]Grab both.
  24. I'd drop Maneuvers and maybe grab a personal armor from one of the patron pools.

Honestly, with both DC and ED, Endurance will probably never be a problem. Keeping the blue bar full is what they're there for.

    Accuracy seems fine.
