While I'm not a high enough level to participate, any particular reason why the merits for the SF were not increased for this patch?
[/ QUOTE ]
My guess is it's still to early to tell from datamining. SF/TFs are usually tough the first couple weeks until players learn the path of least resistance. So the devs probably do not want to up the merits too much if datamining a month later shows them average completion time is much much shorter then the pervious month. -
Brutes > Scrappers*
*Unless the scrapper is played by FD or Sir L from our SG then Brute = Scrapper. -
I can't test it right now, but it normally happened to me while using the market.

Nice try at changing the subject away from an argument that you were losing though.

My idea:
revamp CP to include an enhanceable heal/+HP component (lesser version of Dull Pain) while halving the endurance discount portion.
Supplement by Umbral:
[ QUOTE ]
That would actually seem rather interesting. It wouldn't really break Cottage Rule, but it would definitely merit some degree of name change for the power (not that powers of the same name have to be the same). It might actually be better to contemplate making it a +recov/+hp/+heal power. Think mixing Dull Pain and Quick Recovery.
Basic numbers to think of would be 10% enhanceable +hp, 10% unenhanceable, 30% enhanceable heal, and 15% +recovery all on a 4 minute cooldown with a 60 second duration. The +hp is half of Dull Pain's, the heal is 75%, the +recov is half of Quick Recovery's, and the basic uptime ratio is 25% rather than 33%. The heal is, itself, better over time than Dull Pains would be, meshing well with the +res of the set, but the +recharge requirements to get it permanent would be a good deal higher to make up for the diverse attributes.

A good, if over exposed, Honest Bob and the Factory to Dealer Incentives song. A terrible bit of advice for giving feedback in ever evolving MMOs, IMO.

You should, I regularly give good advice whether people agree with it or not.

I've no idea what your goal for giving good advice is but, if it involves getting it out to a larger amount of people then I heartily endorse a change of tact. If you just want to dispense good advice with backhanded jibes and put people off then, stead the course.

Incidentally anyone try a Dark/EM Tanker? I would think that combo would actually work fairly well (OG + Whirling Hands).
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, I've stated many times I run a Dark/EM Tank.
[/ QUOTE ]
And how do you like it?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it's ok. Crowd control is excellent, minion, LTS and even bosses are usually stunned until dead.
Here's a quick run down of how I enter a spawn(s).
No OG toggled and I use Taunt and DS to gain aggro. Sometimes corner pulling or combining groups, whatever the situation calls for.
After a second, I toggle OG and hit WH. I then target the nearest boss and drop ET on him to stun him as well. If there's another boss I try and get his attention. Usually I fire off Dark Regen during this time since my health is low from alpha, OG and ET.
Rinse/Repeat.
Against AVs, DArk is pretty weak without some major buffage compared to other tanks. Dark Regen healing off one target is pretty lame and none of the stuns, fears, etc really matter against a big ole bag of HP and PToD. -
What does any of this have to do with the changes to PvP drops?

If you're talking from a paper analysis of it, you've done something wrong.
If you're talking from experience, the tanker was doing something wrong.
[/ QUOTE ]
So you think him posting some uber tank build is representative of how broken risk vs reward is?
If so, you're doing something wrong. -

"Drive by DOM alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" is much better advice when applied to you, then any acorn of wisdom falling from your tree, professor spells a lot.

Is this the best you can do? So sad. -

My Fast Healing buff in the Willpower secondary when clicked upon is showing I have 114% resistance to regeneration debuff. My character is only 12...
Why is it so high? Is this a display bug? I can post a screenshot if necessary.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not sure about that, but I do know a LB Spec Ops will drop your regen to next to nothing. So I'm guessing it's a display bug. -
[ QUOTE ]
Since the character has essentially zero risk of being defeated no matter what damage types are mixed into a mission, exactly how would the logic of "no risk = no reward" apply to this character?
[/ QUOTE ]
Great, the tank can survive alot, whoopee-do...it's suppose to genius. However, it's damage output is the limiting factor in this case. Sure it can produce nice damage but even this uber tank you've created is nothing compared to a evenly built blaster, scrapper, dominator, brute, stalker in terms of raw damage.

I thought they removed the exp from the summoned demons?
[/ QUOTE ]
The summoned demons don't matter. People farming the mission just avoid the summoning portals.
All of the other demons in the mission are still worth XP and still only have fire based attacks.
[/ QUOTE ]
Meh, is that really your best arguement? -

It was a joke really, and at level 12 and DOs your buddy should notice a difference. Not OMG difference but better nonetheless.
But having leveled 5+ brutes without PLing and a two doms (after the changes), the endurance usage is similar, IMO of course. -
Day late and a dollar short?
I rolled a mind/nrg dom and it's no worse then leveling a brute to be honest. I can't just spam my attacks all willy nilly and actually have to considered when to use what. I even time Domination to help out in the low levels. -

Speaking of cool emotes, the Evil Laugh Costume Change Emote has got my vote for the COOLEST THING EVA in CoX.

I could use that function if it helped with glowies. I have to be the worst glowie hunter ever.

I've said it before, but my fix to EM would involve upping the damage in WH along with the stun chance, and making TF a lesser version of Thunderstrike. -
That's boring to me, plus I like merits, crafting and supplying the market with IOs (especially cov). So all my wants are met and I log into ~10-20 mil in a day. I'm ok with those numbers.

It's really easy to make money in this game.
Here's how I make money on both sides of the game, since I can only log in for 1-2 hours at a time.
1. I run PvE content until salvage is full
2. I then run AE missions for some tickets
3. I then roll bronze rewards with my tickets until recipes full
4. Check market, craft profitable recipes
5. Sell IOs
That's it.
