A very cool stylized and exaggerated look.
Nice stuff Aku and welcome to the artz section of the forums.

Quote:Well for one thing if you are going to "duplicate then mirror" one eye to create the other one you need to move the hotspot (the white dot)..................
..............I'm really unhappy with the eyes tho, i've done so better eyes before, just couldn't get them to live in this pic tho, ho hum, next...
to the other side (unless it's right in the middle). As it stands now it's lit very unbelievably, especially since her hair is
casting a shadow on the right side that would prevent a hotspot on that side. This will make it look
like something is off to many people even if they can't tell you why it looks wrong.
Looking at her helmet visor shows that the light causing the hotspot is coming from (camera) right
so I would suggest moving the white dot on her left eye to the other side
and removing the dot from her right eye altogether.
Beyond that the pupils are too large (and oddly kind of square-ish) for the amount of ambient and directional light striking them.
They should only be that large in a dimly lit room or a night scene. Also there are eyelashes above but none
below which even if makeup is used to accentuate the upper lid the lower should still be visible
unless the figure is far enough away in which case neither would be visible.
The lighting on the skin above the eye should have a different shape than below the eye. The way you have
it now looks like you just drew a white line around the outside that follows the black outline.
The center of the eyes should also line up closer with the outer edge of the lips.
These were the thoughts that occurred to me on first glance, hope they help.
Cheers! -
Somehow the rabid evil bunny with the fly swatter makes it even more scary.

Hmmm I meant really miniature as in teeny tiny. All of them. Like the size they would be if you
imagine that freedom corps emblem was a medal a normal sized person would have
pinned to their jacket and what the demon's lifting was a pebble.
Not sure why it reads like that to me.
P.S. Most of my heroes are not much taller than 5'5'' now. My very first hero was a huge wrestler, as tall and
wide as the CC allowed and I thought it was the best thing ever! ...until my first cave mission.

Some parts of the story were a little tricky to follow but overall it's well written and an entertaining read. I enjoyed it.
May want to check over your wording and phrasing a bit more (i.e. "Do you know, you more you hit me..." should be "the more you hit me"
and "My powers do not effect it" should be "affect it" etc etc) and maybe a few too many uses of the light reflection sparkle.
P.S. Two others I was less certain about (and perhaps some of our more British forumites could say better than I) but also sounded off to me were:
I've not heard the phrase "that simply isn't cricket" to mean something unfair... perhaps something like "that wasn't very sporting"
and instead of him saying Tax levels have just been "increased" at the end perhaps "raised" (unless the British say
increased instead of raised when talking about taxes going up and I just don't know it).
Thanks for posting it. Cheers!

These are all great but that RedG really stands out for me. Love that look she has.
*goes to wander through Red's gallery and watch*
Even though I know it's not supposed to be the group shot by Cric makes me think they are all in miniature... like they got hit with a shrink ray.

So Wendy is Princess Peach from Mario and I'm guessing Rusty is Dan from Streetfighter... fitting.
<--- noticed the boob stuffins.

Nice work on the Scooby gang.
For Velma I would choose a more frumpy sweatshirt, bigger glasses, more rounded freckled face etc... something more like this.
Jinkies!

Bah got locked out of the forums again for a day. Hope you had a great birthday anyways Neko.
@Fireheart: You're thinking of Darth Delicious that lives in the Netherlands. SN is EU but a different country entirely.

Jordan's Town, Square Woot, and also there was a Robot Henri comic in his art thread.

The Mike and Super DeeDee piece is coming along great DD.
I'm enjoying watching the progress and very glad my drawing could help inspire.
@Henri: You're right that many people go far too light on the shading but adding more
layers isn't always the solution and too many can confuse people not used to them.
None of the people whose images I "punched up" gave me a photoshop file with
the layers intact, I just colored right onto a single layer image I pulled from their threads.
While layer division is certainly much more versatile for making touch ups and changes later
(and it is a handy skill to know) there are plenty of professional digital artists I've seen that just use one. -
35 is indeed far too young.
Thanks TA for sharing his art collection and a bit about who
he was for those of us who never met him. Many great pieces and a fine tribute.
R.I.P. fellow art enthusiast.

Thanks much Henri.
Don't know if I want a fully automated (operational yes) Deathstar out there blasting planets to smithereens
for whatever reason it wants but I'll take one set of manually controlled Deathstar blueprints stat!
... ummm do you take influence?

Quote:That has to be one of the best uses I've ever seen for a drawing of mine. Looks great DD.I like the custom login screens peops!
And now I've got one too!
Had to make a picture of it...as somehow my screenshot option is not working with CoH (alll I get is a black screen or nothing at all... should really try and fix that at some point *nods*)
But here's mine!
I used the amazing art-trade-what turned into a collab Christopher Robin drawing of my character DeeDee aka Darth Delicious (ofcourse)............................
P.S. I think the word you are looking for is "Peeps."

Bear in mind that I know nothing of this Gundam stuff (so I googled for an image of Red Comet)
but if I was trying to give a giant robot a finned helm and viral conjunctivitis
I might instead go with something more like this.

Nah it only had a blank white page with the web address written on it.
You might want to host the files on Photobucket, it's free and works well with image files.

Some nice icons here Coz but none of the download links work for me.
I could just make one myself from the thumbnail but I thought I would mention it.

Quote:Actually I do know when the time will come[color=#FD5185] *pokes CR back with a giggle* Ah yes... but then it followed by: "I'm not quite ready to try tackling guys in this style yet." *points at the word 'yet'*
You never know when the time will come!.................
and which male character will most likely be drawn first.

Wow sounds like a hassle.
Sorry I couldn't help (beyond a few suggestions/tips) but I don't build laptops currently.
Hope you get it all sorted without having to go all shock and awe on some hapless Dell tech support guy in Calcutta...
but if it comes to that I suggest you go for the Falcon Punch technique.

Ok let me see if I understand.
You want to pick 100 costumes you think are best from the redesign thread.
You want forum users (us) to vote the best from the 100 you choose here.
Whoever gets the most votes you will give 100million influence to.
is this correct?
