  1. You forget also that sonic effects are so loud and ear piercingly shrill that the enemy in PvP will freak as well as your allies

    Empath Defenders

Hmm any expert empaths care to say if many binds are needed to empath 'effectively'
Obviously i know there's the matter of how much effort you put in anyway..but I remember hearing some people bind heal other to left click etc..

  3. 24th July! Sweet that's definitely in my term holidays
If my eyes deceive me and its 24th June (not that it is..I swear its July, but just saying XD) then I'm still free then
I'd like to come if possible, I presume to work in the holding team
    Chiefette-Level 50 Mind/Storm Controller
(Telekinesis, Dominate and Vanguard Medal) (Holds and Vanguard are whats useful if ah remember..)
  4. Chiefette

    Just for fun.

    Given name: Susan Davies
    Hero name: Chiefette
    Gender: Female
    Age: 22
Powers: Mind Control, Mental Manipulation, Storm Creation through stimulation of the air. Telepathy, telekinesis.
Personality: Calm, collected, benevolent and principled. Always striving for a just cause.
Physical Description: Around 5'11, young with hazel coloured hair, cut short with a part falling over her right eye. Piercing blue eyes and an appearance of a typical young student, although dressed casually, her reknowned gear is a motorcycle jacket and short skirt.
History/Backstory: Susan, otherwise known as 'Suzy', she led a peaceful life. The daughter of a reknowned heroine and a Public Relations man, she led the life of luxury, going to concerts with friends and behaving as any normal teenager would. Yet surprisingly she had inherited a few talents from her mother, psychic abilities.
The 2005 Glastonbury Festival marked the change, it was stormy and a tempestuous wind was coursing through the festival. She went to see her favourite band, The Kaiser Chiefs, and then the storm intensified, a flood occured also from the river bursting its banks. She was swept in a tide through many things, she unlike some concert-goers was saved by being thrown into a music-speaker tent.
On waking many hours later, she felt strange..the storm..it had re-awakened something in her, her powers were present all of the sudden. She knew it, she had to rescue her friend, Ashlee, who had disappeared in the flood. And keeping in with her mother's profession, perhaps actually be a hero...so she decided to call herself Chiefette
  5. Ooh sorry, kinda false facts from me there..
I should have rememebered..especially with tornado doing a casual 30 damage to level 1s when Chiefy wants to show people the insane knockback possible with tornado on weaklings XD
  6. Well hmm 'strokes chin' I know there was some quote from Zap Brannigan (Futurama) i wanted to use for 'fighting villains with the terminals' I can only remember this rather irrelevant one however
    You win again, gravity!"
Well actually...may be relevant in PvP duels in some cases
    Other one i just remembered!
Brannigan's law is like Brannigan's love, hard and fast"
    Chief- Manic Fan of Futurama

  7. 1.Its a location based power. A circle appears and you click on the ground where you want it to appear, the character points a hand out and fires a gust of wind in the direction (s)he's facing...This wind CAN knock enemies back, akin to Gale. Then the tornado appears.
    2. It is on a vague 'leash' to the storm summoner, it can go to attack enemies but equally wont go out of a certain range. You can force it to come back to you by retreating.
Rather peevingly its 'aggro choices' tend to be suspect, i've had it focus on one person and other times do what i wanted it to 'attack enemies in a confined area' then dart out the room and swirl at some other person in the corner.
3.It does knockback, methinks in like i4 it did Knockup
    4. Tornado isnt what you use for damage. It does ticks of 1 damage. Sadly i do not know how many.
    5. If any fear i've seen spread, its the 'run away ahh' fear
    6. Disorient is low, albeit consistent. I've heard unsettling ideas from others (cant find solid fact) that the magnitude of the disorient will be lowered so in PVE it'll only disorient minions on first sweep
    Chiefy
  8. The whole more conventional idea of chatting there then going Right then you wanna prove you're so tough eh! Fine you, me arena now! BAM!
  9. 'decides to make a horrendously bad joke'
Fake Nemesis Hunt Oooh im not falling for that you almost had me there, with promises of a nemesis hunt. But i know its fake! So there! Stuff that up your powerset!
    Hahahhahaha! 'scoots away fast'
Othewise Good luck with this 'hunt' hee hee!
  10. Chiefette

    Dear lord, no.

    Superb Mr Guardian...truly a maitre d'oeuvre
  11. [ QUOTE ]
You might also be fairly safe from stalkers in human form with one of the auras running.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Tried out Kaiserette (Warshade ) with a dear friend of mine as a stalker, I turned on Inky Aspect, Orbiting Death and Shadow Cloak. While when my friend didnt have stealth on i could see her...
it took a bit more worrying turn then when she actually came to AS me
    She was /SR btw
Basically she wasnt stopped, I only knew i was going to die because my health kept getting drained and loads of 'MISS'es kept popping up around me
Then she did the Assasin's strike...yeargh

However gotta admit shadow cloak is hilariously good at percep+
Also....with some hero teams who do 'stay together'..you can surprise quite a few arrogant brutes who dash by and run off by tping them back with Starless Step...
Just like to make clear I am in no way advocating the misuse of tp foe
  12. Chiefette

    Stamina or not?

As a general rule of thumb (fears a fierce reprisal)
    Human only PB: NEED STAMINA
PB with one or more forms: Stamina can be left, as end recov+ from forms
  13. Chiefette

    Indominable Will

'nods grimly' So sadly not then perma 'sigh'....you'd really have to slam in Adrenaline Boost to get it perma Mmmmmmmm AB!
But equally the armour and psi tornado is nice tooo ^^
Mental Blast I've just never really warmed to. I've only heard its good for 'long distance shooting out of range'
  14. Hmmm decides to do a shameless plug
I highly recommend Mind/Storm, I mean anyway it is very popular and a (relatively well laid out, i hope) guide is here
  15. Chiefette

    Telekinesis

Lets see....here's all I can think of about telekinesis: (large parts extracted from me guide XD)

"Telekinesis, in addition to being a strong, auto-hit, AoE hold, adds to Storm’s formidable array of positioning utensils. It is also a controversial tool in PvP for its seeming 'boredom inducing' potential.
    Of course for the record:
1 Break free used stops the hold effect
    4 stops the repel effect
Very interesting to use to instantly get containment up....
And its very good for corner games...i.e stack em into a corner (using other knockback moves to shove them there) then stack all the locational moves you want

Although I was thinking....with the coming Mastermind Bodyguard thing...would it be a viable tactic then to Telekinesis then the mastermind's minions away (specially since they'd be clumped up together) from the mastermind? Would that then get rid of his bodyguardness??
Someone care to comment on that?
    Thanks!
    Chiefy
  16. Brawl has a detoggle rate (1 toggle removed) of 33% Apparently...
  17. Very nice little bit there Captain
One tiny gripe, but I always find it gives the story that extra sheen, it does sound petty but italicise the dialogue, Really it makes it easier to read
    Anyway, good going!
  18. Holy moly!! That much influence would take years to transfer
  19. grahh! 'grumbles'
Sorry for not sticking around for it, 'hits self'
Note to self....offer my help for extra long in something as service....hmmm
  20. Well this is a little thing but you might want to craft some easy tactic since there is one glaring fault with earth controllers.
Their holds dont work on enemies that arent in contact with the ground
I mean my earth controller instead has taken fly (and also thus) air superiority. so if the enemy takes off, i kinda have to fly after them, thwack them down then they're as good as mine
That is of course unless you're quick with the quicksand, you could try and quickly hold them (e.g fossilize) but then they could use a breakfree and scarper
  21. oooh debating..next time im on i may join it
    'imagines a massive mudslinging fight'
    Sweeeet
  22. Hmmm so is there any particular team which is 'lacking'?
Oh you forgot Catz for taunty team

  25. Hmm most of my characters are based on bands..
    therefore
Chiefette- 'I predict a riot' (Kaiser CHIEFS)
Ferdinette- 'Evil and a heathen' (franz FERDINAND)
otherwise meh the other two arent based on bands
