Quote:Wentworths/Black Market are cross server so all heroes have the same selection ditto villains.Quote:The fact remains. On my server, I have never not been unable to buy a purple IO recipe I was looking for. Even when planning out future builds and checking availability I have never seen 0 for sale.
The important part here you might have overlooked is "on my server" Maybe you play on a different server than I do, in which case your experiences may differ than mine. Playing on the most populated server does have its advantages from time to time.
All servers share the same supply, again the only difference is Red or Blue.

Quote:Purples are not all that rare. At least on my server, at any given time I can go to the market, and look up ANY purple IO and there will ALWAYS be some for sale. The same can not be said for many other IO sets or particular IO's. The cost is only partially set by its rarity, the other part is the ridiculous amount of Influence/Infamy that many players have due to farming or people outright buying influence/infamy.
Wentworths/Black Market are cross server so all heroes have the same selection ditto villains.
I call BS on spme will always be for sale as I know I personally have controlled the supply (and thus price) of a purple more than once. -
Quote:Good question why do people play /stone brutes or stone/ tanks? This brings up something I often think about..
Why would someone play a character that sucks at low levels? Is its high-level play seriously THAT MUCH more fun than a character isn't a painful exercise in self-hatred to get up there? Why would anyone want to subject themselves to a build that you hate for half the time that you play it? -

Quote:Mission Architect: Check out the improvements made to the Mission Architect:
Custom Critter XP Scaling
- Custom Critters with Custom powers now reward XP proportional to the number of powers added to the critter.
- Critters with no powers are allowed, but they are worth no XP.
- Standard and hard critters are worth less than extreme critters.
Mission Browser Improvements
- Author Hyperlink: Author names are now hyperlinked and will underline on mouseover. Clicking on the name of the author in the Mission Browser will do a search for all the other arcs that author has also published.
Mission Creation Improvements
- Runaway Boss Dialog: The boss now has dialog when he runs away.
- Health Dialog on Allies: Allies and Escorts can be set to say things as they lose health.
- Betrayal Options: Allies and Escorts can now be set to betray on any normal objective. They can also say something when they betray.
- Drag & Drop Mission Goals: Goals in Architect missions can now be dragged and dropped to change their order.
- Objective Counts: A count is listed on each detail creation button of the number of details that can still be placed.
- If a player has all three basic critter types in their CVG, they will receive full rewards for the mission. If one critter type is missing they will receive 50% rewards. If two critter types are missing they will receive 25% rewards, and if none of the core critter types are in the CVG, there are no rewards.
- This only effects mobs that are auto-spawned by the mission. You can still place unique bosses inside of a unique group under "Fight a Boss" and have them reward full experience

That is a PVP IO. Those are incredibly rare and Here's the key are meant to be that rare

Quote:This idea sounds plausible enough that I want it checked out. While anecdotal, it confirms my observations. Recipe drops are fine as long as you don't boost your difficulty.
I have a theory right now.
What if they added some sort of anti-padding code for recipe drops? So, if you pad a mission with 7 people, unlock the map, and then drop those 7 and clear the map, any recipe drops would need to be divided "equally" amongst 8 players. Now let's say that this very code is creeping into the difficulty setting as its ASSUMING that you have an improperly made team.
This needs to be tested. Can someone run a few missions at NORMAL difficulty (+0 levels, 1 hero equivalent) and pad the mission? I'd be curious to see the results. -

Now that's a man's game. -
resist and defense are two very different things.
Resist means you will always take x% less damage
defense always has the 5% chance to be hit. -
Single Origin (and really all but a select few) Enhancements give that percent to increase the power they don't give global bonuses.
ex: Power X gives 10% defense all and you slot an enhancement with 20% defense power X now gives 12% defense, not 30.
