What: Blue side Hamidon raid
Where: The Hive
Date: Saturday, August 14, 2010
Form up: 6:00 P.M. ET / 3:00 P.M. PT
Roll out: 6:30 P.M. ET / 3:30 P.M. PT
Bring: (Preferably level 50) Blasters, Controllers, Defenders, Peacebringers, Scrappers, Tankers (preferably with Taunt), and Warshades. If your supergroup base has a stockpile of Essence of Earth inspirations, bring some of those too.
Raid leaders will be announced at form up. Going Rogue is set to go live three days after this raid, so let's show Hamidon exactly what Champion heroes are made of for the final time. -

Y'all did a fantastic job tonight. Took a little while to get started, and it went a little slow, but we did it. Thanks to everyone that came out and supported my first Hamidon raid leading, and special thanks to all those that lead a team.

Note that this is an impromptu blue side Hamidon raid, so it most likely will not be evacless. Raid leaders will be announced at form up. -

Actually, it was back in 2008 2009 October 26th. The problem with Gullivers Reign is that it involved an initial team setup comprising of:
11 tanks (with Ranged Taunt)
8 emps (2 of these must have all emp powers recall and REZ) + (All else must have ranged Healz/REz)
3 kin (1 of these needs recall) + (others need flight) + (all need sb/density)
2 scrappers (flight preferred)
1 Targeter (flight)
1 Bubbler (holds)
1 Arrow (holds)
1 Dark (defender)
1 4 Controllers w/ aoe healing/buffs/debuffs (holds)
I had to organize a week or more in advance in order to get the players I networked with, who had the ATs and powers specs I outlined in order for it to be a success on Oct, 26,2008. My POINT was that IT WORKED! And it ROCKED! -

Chins up, Champions! Raids fail and there are always some challenges to grow from. And for those that haven't seen my no retreat raid I hope you'll grace us with your support and participation when I start them after the New Year. And to be clear, it's something I intended to do anyways and IS NOT part of any "OH, WE'RE GONNA SHOW THEM" drama type B.S. Those that know me already know that's not my style. The 'no exit' strategy (I call Gulliver's Reign) was done long before this with the assistance of Cobalt (Targeting), Force (lead tank team) and many other great community players. I want to make a new Martial Arts Scrapper, but I can't decide between Electric Armor or Willpower for the secondary. This would strictly be for PvE, including task forces. Any advice?

Wait, wait... So, my Force Field / Dark Blast Defender can prevent Hamidon from roaming around the Hive and sneaking up on defenseless and unsuspecting raiders by spamming Tenebrous Tentacles? Why hasn't anyone told me this sooner?! Woohoo, I'm not useless at Hamidon raids after all!

It's a Force Field / Dual Pistols Defender. From FF, I'm looking at Personal Force Field, the two bubbles, Dispersion Bubble, Force Bolt, Repulsion Bomb, and Force Bubble. Swift, Health, Stamina, Hover, Fly, Maneuvers, Tactics, Assault, and Recall Friend from the power pools. Power Build Up and Temp Invulnerability from Force Mastery. Hrm. Well, I suppose I could skip Tactics, and just slot a Kismet proc in Dispersion Bubble or something.
