  1. At the other extreme, listing and selling for 1 inf, costs you 5 (a 500% fee)
  2. Pretty much what everyone has said. The game is full of experienced players with alts at all sorts of levels.

This is not a get to the level cap and grind game (unless you want it to be).

Check the guide to guides for how best to find teams and join an active global channel on your server.

    See you in game!
  3. Congrats on the membership.

Say I get about 3000 inf at 50 for defeating a minion
The Common IO recipe dropped by the same minion, sells to the STORE for 100K and change.

Again, you are mistaken. Yes defeating NPCs creates influence, but for sure vendoring the common recipes they drop adds significantly to the influence created.

This is not selling via the market, this is selling to a store. This creates inf into the system.

You again skip out on the smaller amounts from click glowies and mission completes to create inf. (as well as PVP inf amounts)

Defeating NPC foes is the largest contributor by far (directly and via vendoring drops), but not the ONLY way. Capital period.

You are misreading his first 4

    NPC defeats

Mission/glowie type bonuses (small change but it adds up)

Sales to NPC vendors (eg level 50 acc IO recipe sells for 113 460). Though admittedly such recipe drops come from mobs or mission completes (Chronologist day job and Pool B).

PVP victories (in zone , not sure about arena)

Those 4 are entirely new inf into the system.

Even a poor at soloing 50 can generate 1 million inf/hour

High end folks can get that 100 million inf in 3-4 hours. (counting any drops at vendor rates only)

  7. The same rooms, but not the same locations in each room.
1 down in the room with the glowing walls,
1 in the dead-end room with the towers,
    2 in the final room.

  9. Very rare recipes.

They only exist at and be slotted by level 50s

  10. There is one minor caveat to the Ouro comment, and its outside the salvage discussion.

Ouro missions have a higher Pool B drop rate. Some (not all) flashback missions check twice, at the time of the awarding of each of the two mission complete salvage bonuses.

I have gained 2 Pool Bs a significant number of times from a single missions.
  11. -Enemies must be level 50 or > for purples - FALSE

-Enemies must be level 47 or > for purples - TRUE (if they drop level 50 commons, they can drop purples)

-Enemies with higher difficulty are more likely to drop rares/purples - Generally FALSE, but it could be they bump into the 47+ zone

-Difficulty has no effect on rare/purple drops as long as the groups are 50+ (true if you swap to 47+

The only thing that chnages drop rates is critter type. Minion, Lt, Boss

Run stuff, get IO recipes and sell em if you dont need em.

A high price is great for sellers.
  14. First person on a team that gets in zone, shouts go via Brickstown.

Not an ideal way, but its a decent work around.

At a rough guess, spamming a second series of threads would have been doubly frowned upon by the mods.

    It can't go negative
  17. The Community Reps hate Triumph!
  18. It will happen, but I very much doubt before GR.

Messing round with the core code of the game ( as commented is this thread by mod 8) takes a huge amount of testing time.

It is simply not going to happen outside of a major code branch, due to the testing time involved.

If a fix was tested and applied to the current branch, all the testing would have to be done again on the GR branch to check that there wasn't something odd interacting there.

  20. All of those need a 2nd person involved.

I'd suggest asking (with a time frame you would like to do this) in the market forum. The regulars there are normally happy to help folks out with transfers.
  21. Mob drops rates are affected by rank (boss/lt/minion) not type (carnie, council, blue clockwork or warrior clan etc)

Would you still consider the trade off not so bad in that light?

(This is a genuine question, and not at all an attempt at snark. Please forgive my poor writing if it is read that way.)

So lets call it a buying prestige with inf, is three time less efficient than defeating mobs at level 50.

Yes I'd call that not a bad trade off.

Get too much better and market games become the 'default' way of getting prestige. I really don't think thats what the devs want to do. (but it would be a fine influence sink indeed)

But even if you got to say 500:1 for buying, would think thats a good rate ?
  23. Its certainly possible.

Without access to the support tools I couldn't say either way.
