That was due to the theme song though not a disrespect for canon.

Or at least it was for me. I didn't even hang around long enough to see any canon get defiled. Theme song followed by ridiculous gratuitous unisex shower scene was enough for me to decide "I'm not watching this. Tis silly, and not in a good way." With the movie the sillyness just about covered by the fact it went "WHEEEEE" really fast, and on a massive cinema screen. A DVD rewatching and it'd probably irk me more.

Of course with Enterprise Captain Fuddled-Brow didn't help either. It worked fine when you're shunted to random bodies in random timeframes each week, not such a good look on a starship captain who's supposed to look at least vaguely competent and not like he's stoned and forgotten what he wandered into the Bridge for (see also Harrison Ford in most of his movies over the last 15 years or so)

Amusingly the London and Paris ones are now no longer those times though. DST kicked in over here (did it kick in over in the US yet?)

Oh, and there's no way for me to contact PlayNC support, since PlayNC website (at least FR) is down.
The maintenance window is still ongoing isn't it? In other words wait a while before deciding that the EU isn't getting it.

I've taken all of Ice Blast (except Ice Bolt) and I've skipped Soothing Aura and Share Pain, which so far has given me a good balance between teaming and soloing without the need to spend a lot on enhancements/crafting for two builds.

Power Pool-wise I have Fitness, Hasten and Super Speed.

So, to my point (!) - how useful is Anguishing Cry? I've only just got it and slapped an available end red in it. It seems to recharge fairly quickly, even without Hasten active.

I have already garnered one opinion from a teammate last night who said they had the same sets and didn't find the power particularly useful.

    Thoughts and opinions please.
A huge AOE 30 second -Resistance debuff? Very useful indeed. It increases the damage you and your team will do to affected enemies by almost a quarter.

Max out the recharge and, if you can afford it stick an Achilles Heel -Resist in it too.

Well now I'm definitely going to do it!

Weirdly Khelds actually work better IMO on Villain teams where the roles are a bit blurrier anyway. Some of the best fun I had on mine was a RWZ team made up of a pair of Brutes, another Warshade, a MM and a couple of Arachnos Soldiers. Mayhem!

Actually I see most people will probably go Vigilante / Rogue rather than out and out switching. Why limit yourself to just one side?

Well, doing a quick check to make sure, it's +8hrs for GMT time from Pacific time.

And I laugh at your annoyances about Pacific time. But then, most of the people I need to get a hold of at one of my jobs, that are reps for other companies, keep Eastern TZ hours, so I have to worry about making sure to call them by my lunch time.
With the recent Daylight Savings changes it's slightly more confusing though. I think it's settled down now but as far as I know the US and over here have them on different weekends which makes it hard to know if it's an 8 hours or 7 hours or 9 hours difference for a couple of weeks.

Basically if NCSoft continues to insist on Regionalisation in terms of server groups then they should post official times for both those server groups in any Redname announcements.

If they decide to merge the two regions together then I'll happily adapt to your weird timezone instead

Yes, yes... I'm annoying, I know.
Well it's during maintenance so around 12 tomorrow is it? I agree with you though Rabbit. All this "Pacific Time" only is really annoying, especially at the moment with Daylight Savings changing over the last few weeks.

So does that mean we're counted as loyal in terms of Closed Beta regardless of whether we cancelled our accounts during this month but still have a week or two left to run on the sub?

Yep Invul would be an excellent choice too, maybe even a stronger one than Willpower. If you're facing lots of Psi enemies no worries, Necro/Dark eats Psi enemies for breakfast.

Hopefully those that aren't check before they purchase. I assume they would if resources were tight.

(unless they are less well off because they sent their savings to the widow of a Nigerian General and are waiting for their cheque to clear of course)

I just think it's an awesome bug, much better (and appropriate) than when it happened to Citadel. It will of course be fixed, but it's pretty darn cool looking in the meantime.

I still want freakier looking enemies though, the forthcoming demons from Demon Summoning are a step in the right direction. More like them please

I also read that this is not just on the EU servers but the US/NA ones too, as noted on the server threads.

(I have replaced their Redname to prevent them getting hit with a PM flood.)

Note: I am aware this is posted in two locations, however I have done this to make everyone aware it is getting looked into.
Why on earth do you want it fixed? It looks well cool.

We need more escapees from Silent Hill in this game damn it!

I would like to see what the more seasoned brutes think of which combinations would work well with his dark powers. Id like to be able to tank well, and dish out some hurt so that we may possibly take out some tougher targets like, AVs and GMs, later in our career.
Personally having played a Necro/Dark and a number of Brutes I'd go with something that is (1) Able to build Fury via attacks quickly, since Necro/Dark will be Controlling a lot of the spawn (so less Fury from attacks aimed at you) and (2) has some decent AOE as well, as Necro is single target damage and control rather than AOE damage. I'd pick Claws personally. Spin at level 6 is excellent AOE damage and Claws is great at making quick attacks to build up Fury. Your partner wil have things like Tar Patch for helping to counter all the Lethal resistances in the game.

For the secondary WP would be a good choice. Dark (and Necros Lich) does lots of -ToHit so you can be surrounded by enemies, who are missing you and your massive Regen will easily keep you alive without your partner needed to run in for many PBAOE heals. You can maintain aggro with Spin and catch anyone running at your partner with the excellent Focus to get them Taunted (not that a Necro/Dark has any issues at all dealing with a bit of aggro of course, they can be a bit of a beast in the survivability stakes).

Hey wait, is that one of the Time Bandits frolicking about with those two loopers?
  18. And Ireland (the Rugby team, not the silly soccer team) fluked a draw with the Aussies. Under Irish Sporting rules I think that counts as a victory.

Hurrah for last gasp kicks (you remember them, right Damz?)

And don't talk with your mouth full.
  23. Ninja Run would be an advantage to my Brutes for getting between spawns, especially in outdoor maps (they don't have CJ and 2 of them don't have SS). Wouldn't be a huge advantage but certainly for at least 2 of them it'd be useful.

Anyway things like Mystic Fortune and Self-Destruct can also give an advantage (Self Destruct Carni? Are you mad? Why would you willingly take 10 seconds to blow youself to bits? When you're a Stone/Fire Brute, your HP and End are getting low anyway and you fancy Death-Nuking followed by Rez-Nuking!). Mystic Fortune is actually pretty darn good, especially on lower level teams.

The ninja cossies don't really appeal to me though. Not overly impressed with them (so gonna vote with my wallet)

Come on NCSoft. You managed to kill off / merge the EU and US Mod teams. Merge the darn server lists. You'll make loads of cash from server transfers afterwards, I promise.
