i would say so, others may disagree. It will reduce your downtime, give you increased survivability in PvE, and probably in PvP too. Can't see how that is a bad thing myself.

Was a lot of fun, especially listening to Accy over TS, and my favourite moment, trying to catch a death taxi back to the hospital in galaxy - it took 2 purples (level 6) over 1 minute to kill my level 1 scrapper... regen ftw! The same cannot be said for the +38 DE

Don't bother with resiliance (IMO) it is easier to carry BFs.

Fast healing is far better than heal self - you it is always on, and syncs nicely with integration (and health) to give you a tidy boost to your regen rate, with reconstruction and dull pain as your self heals.

Assault and tactics are nice, but end heavy toggles. I'd get fast healing, and if there is another power you don't really use, drop that so you can get tactics and assault.

Don't bother with them - I got the first on mine, and it makes no difference in survivability to my friends equal level who doesn't.

Just slot your shields accordingly, and pick up Tough if you really feel a little squishy (which I don't think you will), or carry a couple of purples.

If you want to do more than a BU+AS+Placate+AS+run cycle, you need stamina.

With reconstruction, dull pain, integration and instant healing slotted as recommended above, you will be quite happily able to scrap with your stalker, if you have stamina.

So, get hurdle, then either health or swift (i prefer health, but the swift will give you good unsurpressed movement if you need to get outta dodge - pick one). Fear is indeed very nice in PvP, but I'm not sure that it is work picking it up - just focus on doing as much burst damage as possible, you'll have lots of success.

3 slot stamina, if you can spare the slots stick one in hurdle and one in swift/health, and get those slots out of rest!

She loves Sirens, and usually has a lot of fun in there, but there was one individual who clearly wasn't able to distinguish between acceptable banter and hurtful comments. Several people asked them to stop, but alas not to be.

She went back in later and had a bit of fun there, but I'm sticking to my theory, that the wretched Easter Bunny succeeded in his quest to debuff villain and hero moods

EA Brute powerset has Entropy shield, which provides some defense against TP Foe, (I think some of the other defensive sets may have similar in their mez protection toggle...)

Must be something in the water then... encountered the first person I've ever had to put on ignore (even if it was only for 5 mins) in Union's SC.

Took a break, went to Bloody Bay with an SG member who just hit 15 (got owned, as don't have placate pre 25...), but the whole attitude in there was nice and relaxed and generally friendly.

Ah well, will be nice Sirens again tomorrow I hope.

Aye, you are probably right weasel, I was a trifle irritated when I wrote the post due to a clown being incredibly immature in Sirens towards my lady wife. Fortunately such miscreants have so far been a rarity in my PvP experience.

Hell, I got as far as level 9 with my stalker (just don't like them myself) but I've sat and watched her PvP, and the principle complaints just don't tally with the way she plays. Sure, she can 2 shot most blasters, but a team will usually (eventually) take her down. She is fine with that, as she operates on the 'if I'm going, you're coming with me' approach

This whole stalker thing really gets to me, especially the taunts of 'coward'. Sure, some stalkers do run for the hills as soon as AS misses. Same can be said for any AT - I've seen tanks and regen scrappers run ffs. Example, the missus was in Sirens, having a doozy of a fight against a regen scrapper. Both of them have used dull pain and IH, both down to last sliver of health. Reconstruction comes up a fraction faster for the stalker, goes to finish him, and he tiggers his way all the way back to the hero base. So getting the hell out of dodge isn't a problem limited to stalkers.

Then, you have the issue of a 5 on 1 gank. Normally the wife clicks IH and tries to take as many down with her as she can. If IH (or at the very least DP) isn't available, she'll jump around the vicinity until one of them recharges, then get back into the fight. Is that cowardly?

I know why stalkers are hated, and it boils simply down to this - some people don't like a challenge, and want PvP to be all about trash talking. Anyone who PvPs for the fun of trying to challenge themselves isn't bothered by stalkers, because they already have the tools to beat them.

Most are listed in the help gained through the menu ingame, although there may very well be more.

Everyone has at least one power that can detoggle (brawl), plus holds will detoggle all of your toggles.

Jummy, if you really need it done, let me know (never failed it so far - touch wood).

Tonight might be problematic though. If I'm not there at 7, assume I'm not going to make it. Then if you don't manage it we'll organise a team and blitz it (90 mins absolute tops from start to finish)

Can't say I agree with that statement Sar - it needs a qualifier.

Stalkers are rubbish in PvE if played badly, and very powerful in PvP if played very well. (obviously this can be said about any AT)

I team with a couple of stalkers regularly (PvE), and whether playing as my corruptors or my brute I love having them around. Naturally we have encountered stalkers still learning the AT, but that just reinforces the above statement.

In PvP, (which is more the province of the missus) stalkers are really, really easy to get kills with. However, a good hero team, or sr scrapper, or ice blaster, or /dev blasters, or even a single empath in Sirens makes stalking very difficult. The very good stalkers live with this, and quietly carry out their hits. The bad stalkers spend a lot of time in the hospital. I think the key difference is the willingness to stay and scrap stalker style if needed, but that is more due to player attitude than the inherent ability of the AT.

Regen works pretty well tbh - yes you do get the occasional faceplant in a large group, but meh, that happens to us all.

Plus, with the right slotting, reconstruction is nicely available as your bread and butter heal, with the dull pain-IH combo working wonders in PVP if you do decide to do a bit of Skrapping™. I recommend taking health from the fitness pool, as a single slot in there complements the 40% increase from Integration nicely, but YMMV.

As for claws vs spine, I never really liked the animations for either, will take another look after I7, once the reductions to claws take place.

Think you have pretty much hit the mark here, with one possible exception - the mako immob. The description says cone, so I suspect it is a cone immob, similar to the cone fear from DM.

Thanks guys - yeah I had a bit of a problem with the chillblaze one - wanted the text to glow, but hard to get the right balance. It looks ok on my crt, but on the tft it is too close to the background.

check http://www.gimp.org/windows/ for the GIMP for windows, or as previously mentioned, Paintshop. Also, you can usually get trial versions of Photoshop and similar programs (and a load of good advice/tutorials and suchlike) in magazines such as Computer Arts or ImagineFX.
