IIRC that is what Werner is working on next a Kat/Dark.
-
Yes you can take any travel power you want too. They are all good and all bring different things to builds.
-
Well you best way to get info on Tankers is go to the Tanker forums.
Also if you don't have Mid you should get it. Here is a link to the the site.
It will help you plan builds out, it is a little out of date but it is still go to use. -
awesome first page updated!!!
Thanks maynia and TheOcho! -
Quote:I couldn't load your build up so I try to copy the best I could. Now this build as all the same power I think. with DA stacked 2 time you are way over the soft cap for melee. You are also at 45.1% range defense and 27.6% AoE. If something doesn't look right just say so and I will rework it.Alright, well then any advice on getting that last 5% to range? Im willing to let AoE suffer a little as I still have my resists to back that up. But Range/Melee I would like to keep at 45 at least if possible.

Quote:That also depends on the AV you fight and what attack hits. But most AV attack it will be 2 that will kill you with that low of Hit points.
4)1074 BASE hp at lvl 50 would be enough to survive 2 direct hits in a row, one more and i think ull faceplant... BUT with the accolades you should be able to get around 1400 HP which could make you even more survivable. -

Quote:Some times using Divine Avalanche to soft capped is not all that bad.
Hey, so this is my first scrapper to hit 50. As I was playing with mids I hit a road block. And while I can get close to soft cap thanks to Divine Avalanche, I dont think I actually can soft cap without totally gimping my attack chain.
The best attack chain to use is DA->GC>GD->GC->DA->GC->SD->GC. This is the attack chain Werner uses on his Kat/regen and as solo 19 AVs with. -
Damn Sarrate beat me to it

You can slot 60% in your attack with just IO. so you don't need any global recharge at all for that chain.
Now to show how much this one needs.
HS>Parry>DE>Hack>Parry
HS needs to recharge in 6.732
(14/6.732)-1=108%
Parry need to recharge in 2.508
(3/2.508)-1=20%
Hack needs to recharge in 7.653
(8/7.653)-1=5%
DE needs to recharge in 7.26
(10/7.26)-1=38%
Again if you can slot 60% easy so that would be only 48% global recharge to run this chain. -
Ok with Parry the best would be HS>Hack>DE>Parry
Now the slower one would be
HS>Parry>DE>Hack>Parry
I run this on my BS/Wp and I don't have Hasten. It doesn't take a lot of recharge at all.
I think those are the best but if not someone should come along. -
The best that I have seen done is HS>Hack>DE>small gap>Hack
Now the most realistic attack chain are we talking with or without parry? -
Quote:I'll just let Nihilii show you Here then you can pick for your self.Wouldn't surprise me. I basically got him to 50 then quickly started on an Energy/Energy blaster and a Dark Melee/Shield Defense scrapper (who turned out to be the unstoppable GOD I've always dreamed of). Never was very good with the DB/DA.
I've heard others say DB is a very weak powerset though - not sure who's correct on this. -
Quote:Sorry Dual Blades has great damage. You were doing something wrong if you were not doing great damage.
My first 50 was a Dual Blades/Dark Armor scrapper, which turned out to be a terrible failure of a character in terms of power... huge endurance issues to deal with and lackluster damage from his primary.
Quote:I'm considering starting another Dark Armor scrapper, because I enjoyed the powerset, but it's hideously inefficient endurance-wise. Other than Dark Melee, are there any scrapper primaries which are efficient enough to offset the incredible drain on my blue bar that is the four thousand toggles of Dark Armor? -
Ok now that I have more time and looked at your build here are some thing to do.
- Def numbers. With being /SR you have def with just SO it is around 30% which is great. 45% is the number you would like to aim for it is called the soft capped.
-I think you have too many attacks. you don't need Sting of the Wasp and Gambler's Cut. While Sting does more damage Gambler's cut is the better DPS attack. The best Attack chain for Kat is Golden Dragonfly>Gambler's Cut>Soaring Dragon>Gambler's Cut.
- Divine Avalanche is a great power because of the +def it gives. But with most build at lvl 50 it is not need because of the Soft Cap.
-small one but evasion should be taken at lvl 35 because it is your def power to AoE and you don't have much till then.
-you have dodge 6 slotted, I don't like it because it is an auto the slot/IO are better to put in Focused Senses or Evasion because they are toggles.
-I don't like to 6 slot purples because they are over kill for Damage, it goes way into ED. I like to take out the Dam/rech in them.
-You should take PB at lvl 10. When you get quickness you really only need 1 SO in to make it perma. -
Practieced Brawler is a must take at lvl 10! It is your mezz pro and a scrapper is just not a scrapper without it.
-
-
Shield Charge is a great AoE attack and you have Whirling Sword and Slice to add to your AoE so you should do just find.

I think MA/WP. like you said because him and sandy like to fight. Now WP because he is not the big tough guy but he rise to the rise to the challenge if he needs to.
-
Any and all Scrapper will do.
One for the better one is Kat/WP because it is easy to play and has good ST damage and ok AoE.
