  1. I actually crash/lag terribly from SS characters being in my group or in the enemy group. I don't know if it's related to the power effect sounds, massive group knockbacks, or the animation itself. My .pigg files are not corrupted, because I've redownloaded them seperately multiple times to test the theory.
  2. Global Recharge affects Secondary Mutation, unless that icon just likes to fill and get clicked, removing my old effect minutes before the previous goes away on its own.

Quite true, the closest I can reach is 176-180% on my Night Widow with Elude, no Weave, and no PvP +3% defense. Perhaps stacking more defense IOs and the introduction of an alpha slot would increase it to near hard-cap limits (200%? or is it 210%?), but it's not obtainable without a direct focus on defense and a lack of recharge and damage.

Having all VEAT SF/TFs always made this fun, because you would be well over the hardcap with 220% or more at ALL times.

I'd have to agree that Resistance is much less effective than Defense from an RNG point of view even. When I would hard-cap S/L resitance and fight, say, Battle Maiden warriors, I would die much faster than my character with perma-60(ish)%defense. That is, when I fight the map completely solo on the same difficulty.

I'll assume for now that the Arachnos costume isn't supposed to have special auras and capes. We shall see.

Irritates me a little though, since I have the Origins pack from Twitter code, and I can't access the special auras with just that costume.

P.S. - If NCsoft doesn't want my money, they can kindly let me know and I'll spend it elsewhere. I mean, I'm pretty sure I would LIKE to spend it on something I want and would like to have...
I'd suggest going to the NCSoft support page. The developers here can't help you, especially since a few have PMs turned off.
  6. Is the pack not supposed to affect VEAT costumes? On the live servers, all my VEATs' other costumes and new characters can access the aura, but the Arachnos costume has no such luck. I was really hoping to get my pink Tarot Card aura from my main costume onto my Night Widow outfit.

I can't because of the Arcanatime and lag on my Widow. It's very annoying.

I need to change my attack chain and reslot somewhat anyways, since I can't seem to take down the Pylons in the scrapper challenge, only tank them.

It's also explained through the VEAT arcs that your trick the system to become a "Destined One", which is why you become a Patron's apprentice in the first place.
  10. I should make an Ill/Rad to start playing on Infinity again. My Ill/Emp grew stale, and I transferred all my fun characters over to Freedom.

I used to do Hami runs a lot pre-i9 on my Storm/Dark Defender, Shadow of Spawn.

As for the OP, just hit up the SG recruitment and Infinity forums. They're around here somewhere.
  11. Assuming Illusion Army wouldn't affect the heal, if you can pull Rom around the corner slightly with the Army tanking fluffies, you would be fine.

Another option is to have the Army tanking fluffies, and instead of focusing on Rom, you kill them first. It's entirely possible and was the previous method to fighting Romulus with a group.
  12. I still have a Elec/WP Brute made for running the Cap SF. I'm not entirely sure it'd be viable against an AV that won't fight another AV though.

Ehh, I usually take down a Warhulk and Gunslinger in 4 hits, so I hardly notice them. Fake Nems on the other hand take about 5-6, because I always manage to fail the chain as it hits PFF. The DoT takes 'em down a little though.
  14. My badge hunter is my Arachnos Widow. I refer to it by the AT name, because when I face EBs, AVs, and etc. solo, I can finish them pretty quickly with a chain of Placates and Slashes. On the other hand, if I'm in a group for MoSTF or some such, I can play Night Widow, but I'd prefer Fortunata, since I can stay out of PBAoE range.

Only thing is, you'll have to wait for i19 for Praetoria to open up for those extra badges.

As a blaster, you should be surviveable as is, if you know how to play a ranged class.

Depends on how much you hate PFF and an enemy with defensive powers, compared to the other two's lack of non-inherent defensive abilities.

Plus, it's all a Nemisis Plot.

Back in the day, i8 or so (not during Halloween), I would get an error message stating that I could not get anymore more temporary powers. That may have however, been linked to the specific power, or a previous cap. That has since then lead me to be too paranoid to keep more than a tray of temporary powers.

Isn't there a limit on temporary powers? I'm inclined to think that most of you have passed that cap, because the only time I didn't recieve the costume, but got credit was when I had a full temporary power list. From one hour of ToT'n, I got at least 18 costumes in PI.

If that is the case, just right click the costume and delete the power.

Also, the Comic-Con Freakshow Boss Costume counts towards Clothes Horse apparently.

Not be be completely rude, but if you haven't noticed, most Widow powers for both subclasses, will put your near the Widow hard-cap resist of 85% Psi without any real slotting (In PvE), in addition to the PvP resist buff, you'll have around 50-60% with just an Aegis, if I remember correctly.

As for the HP, slotting my single-targets + Wail build with purples and etc. has me at 1337.3 HP with accolades. Although I'm only lacking a few of the sets I need, I'll figure my HP will be only 1360. There's no real reason to go for HP in current PvP with all the Phase Shifting Hibernoobing Regins, because your just going to have to pick up the FoTM too.

Dark Obliteration + Gloom on a Widow is perfect for soloing TFs. Still working on my build, but with a little under half my necessary purples and non of my LoTGs, this Fort build is working...

As for my Night Widow build, no PPPs. Just say no, when you have 60%+ defense at all times and a full attack chain to boot.

There's no reason to think Kheldians could reform the energy they produce now in a different manner.
But we, in the real world, are neither capable of "total" control of our bodies to reform our shapes nor capable of making kinetic energy to create a fire without an external tool. Though I'm not discussing some of the psychic "tests", which have possibly inconclusive evidence that we are capable of causing or removing the kinetic energy of a molecule. (Quantum mechanics) The idea of a Firestarter is pretty cool though, and although I'm not usually an RPer, that would be a good backstory behind a Fire/Psi Blaster or the likes.

I'd have to agree with both of you though, if I were to consider the game mechanics my point would be nulled. While I don't always agree with the developers changes in real world scenarios, I also understand that players don't want to suffocate or drown, because of real world mechanics.

Soloing and playing 2-3 hours a day, you could be getting about a level or two every 1-3 days.

Normally I wouldn't advocate AE, but you can solo farm missions with your Brute and probably your Scrapper.

There's also a heavily implied "source" of power for all the EATs. This is why their origins are forced. For HEATs, the bonding with a Kheldian is the source of power. Since the Kheldian can't shoot fire, make ice storms, etc, they can't access epics. For VEATS the source is Arachnos training, so it makes sense that they can be trained/empowered by Arachnos officials. Again, they can't shoot fire, etc.

It would be neat if the game at some point employed a wider array of possibilities. Like a Kheldian bonding with an already super being, or Arachnos putting a mutant whose latent powers haven't manifested yet into the Widow program. This would probably result in inspired powersets for other ATs though, rather than a change to the EATs. Of course, as it is you could make a Radiation Blaster and color the powers white and call it a special sort of Peace Bringer.

The 10 original ATs are all completely open ended. You can mix and match primaries and secondaries to your heart's content, with or without explanation. Your origin is not enforced, and so on. Since there's no restriction on "where your power come from," the epics are wide open.

Remember that VEATs have the largest base of powers to choose from as it is. That's the price you pay (i.e. balance) for restricted power sets.
Peacebringers should get APPs and not the Patrons, so they can be the opposite of VEATs.

Saying "For HEATs, the bonding with a Kheldian is the source of power. Since the Kheldian can't shoot fire, make ice storms, etc, they can't access epics." answered exactly WHY you should be able to.

Kheldians are pure ENERGY beings. Kinetic energy being the force behind Hot and Cold, since molecules need energy to move or a lack there of to freeze. Energy is the driving force behind Electricity due to Electrons. You see what I'm getting at?

Cold is essentially the lack of energy, which is why I could consider just that being unaccessible to the HEATs.
