Whatever else rules of engagement were chosen, paying active accounts should have had been able to keep their globals instead of allowing inactive ones to keep them.

That is one of the best effects the power has! Collecting every mob you can see into a corner or wall and let the team rip them apart. If you're suggesting something like this, you must be doing it wrong. -

As has been stated previously by the devs-- more than a few times-- "participation" only determines your access to the reward table, not how well of a result you'll get from it.
If you don't hit the participation threshold, you get the 10 threads. If you do, then you get the same statistical chance as everyone else in your league to get a good reward. -
All good standing accounts were reactivated. Emphasis on good standing. That being side, if your sister is EU side, like I am, I suggest she tries adding a EU before her account name. For instance if the account name was Flower, she should try EUFlower.

Not exactly... if there was someone on EU with the global name Antares they'd be the ones who would be affected. The Devs decided NA player names were untouchable and sacrosant so EU players got shafted (again). We're used to it by now though.
Heck even our global channels have been derided in favour of the NA ones even though Defiant is a EU server and someone decided to create a Defiant Events NA side which made one of the oldest global channels on EU to be appended with a EU: Defiant Events EU.

I'm on a dynamic IP allocation so each time I try to access my account I have to answer the security questions and authorize yet another IP adress. I'm up to 8 different IP adresses now. This keeps up, might as well not have any security features in place.

Rednames, you should really look into an automatic time zone conversion feature for the forum. It makes event thingies like these SOOOOO much easier to communicate now that we're supposed to play with people on the other side of the pond. -

Another one with EU prepended.
Waiting until the 10th so I can change the NA one and then change the EU one back to its normal name. That is, assuming that will be possible.
EDIT: actually, just tried to login with the "new" account name and it doesn't work. I think the emails went out because the GSA was supposed to start today. It was, however, postponed and they forgot to cancel the emails... -

Quite frankly, I'm with the stop now or at the very least at the 100 month. All good intentions aside, I find it unlikely that anyone joining now will ever get 7 or more years out of this game.
I'm getting 72 months come June 25th. -
