Quote:I was so tired when I first read it, I was trying to figure out what Accelerate Metabolism had to do with it.Edit: And also, your thread title is confusing. Alignment Merit roll, pulling PVP IO's? What? Seemed to me like you were referring to the "random roll" at first.

Quote:It's because of THIS annoying trait that I've often referred to him as the "Ghost of Deathsurge", who's pulled the same idiotic stunt on me as well. I've soloed both of them down to about 20-25% health on my necro/dark mm, only to have both of them panic and charge the nearest drone. And there was at least one time i was on a team and we started pounding on him and he promptly ran up the hill straight into the Arbiter drones.
Personally, I still count both as "soloed... to death", given that neither was going to somehow turn the tables on me, but it irks me nonetheless. -
On the other hand, I've exited missions in his vicinity several times, and had him kill me before I could finish zoning, so this is, at best, not always true.
-
Quote:Not to mention his defeat (badge) being a prerequisite for the Born in Battle accolade...Ok, not just me then. If that's working as intended then that's crap. So basically, you really want to have a team prepared before he even spawns to make sure you have as much time as possible. That's really really lame, especially since his badge actually unlocks a contact. :P

Quote:I've been doing the same (name camping) for my future Mind/Dark vampyri Dom.I'm kinda looking forward to Death Shroud in Dark Assault. Of course, I intend to pair it with Plant, so melee should be pretty safe.
I'm sitting on a name for a Dark/Psi dominator, too. Wanna test now, please! -

Quote:But if they don't do it that way, how will we get them to match the Celestial Armor, or the DUST Cannon, or...And please, don't pre-tint them. If I want them to be black black or white white or neon blue, let me do so. I don't want five indistinguishable shades of silver.
Yes, what ZM said. Multiplied by a Sagan. -

Another handy side effect with that power is that standing in the patch with one or more enemies procs a lot of +end at you.
-
Is also a stupidly fun addition to an electric melee / shield defense character. An unstoppable juggernaut of annoying "bamf" attacks.
Quote:Am already working on this for my SS/WP Brute. Only level 30, so no Foot Stomp, yet, but with Rise to the Challenge, standing there and letting mobs beat on him is already entertaining. That said, I'm going to be mirroring this build onto my SS/Inv Brute. It ought to be absolutely terrifying. Run into a group, let them whack at me to build rage, then SA, FS and Judgement. -
I'd settle for just the chest-eyeball... although a floating Rularuu eye-for-a-head, or in the Think Tank "hat", would also make me happy.

Really, really hoping these "HeroCons" become a habit again. Terribly depressed about having to miss this one.

Quote:We can create characters that hurl cosmic/sound/brain/energy/lightning/fire/ice/thelistgoesonandon attacks... and you're worried about "suspension of disbelief"?..I prefer to think of punching the ground causing an explosion shockwave which hurts people, as opposed to somehow sending destruction forward through the ground in a way that defies my suspension of disbelief.
-
Quote:That general question went unanswered when I asked for just such a thing during one of the u-streams past.I want a Super Strength Judgement.
Some sort of ground-pound cone or PBAoE. Something big and violent for characters that don't -have- lightning, fire, cold, and so forth as powers but who also shouldn't be making superfast jump-kicks around an area.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this specifically, too tired at the moment to go over the other responses in detail, but:
Quote:With regard to pet recharge rate increases, this is currently not workable do to a long standing issue with pet AI. In short, when pets USED to be able to benefit from +recharge, they ended up spamming the snot out of their fastes-recharging attack, to the exclusion of anything else.Mastermind Primary Set: Animal Control
Level 6 - Animal Training: You can train your animals so that they are better hunters, wolves will get a confuse resistance and recharge rate increase. lions will get a stealth ability as well as a stealth strike ability, and bears will gain a resistance bonus to all damage as well as increased damage. -
Quote:Nope, just don't see the point in spending money on something that isn't using it to improve the state of the game. If I wanted to throw a tantrum, I'd have demanded the game be fixed right NOW!!!You have not logged in for a week? You are going to unsub? Gee, that sounds like..what IS the word..a bit of a tantrum! And you know what, a childish tantrum sure does fix something..I bet it made him feel better.
Which is, after all, exactly what he did... -
Soloed several GMs with my pre-Incarnate Necro/Dark MM: Eochai, Jack in Irons, Paladin (two at once), Kraken, Adamastor, Babbage, Ghost of Scrapyard (eventually) and Deathsurge (eventually - also a 'runner').
There's a lot of -regen, -damage and -to hit on the target, some def and a LOT of healing to my side -
Quote:Spoken like a true 10-year-old.I really hope you have a plan how to fix that crap! And better quick!! Like... NOW!!!!
Seriously, I can certainly understand the annoyance; I'm there myself. But a childish tantrum fixes nothing, folks.
I haven't bothered logging into the game for a week, now. I'm not logging in until things are sufficiently fixed. If the situation persists to my subscription date, I'm unsubbing until things are fixed. Simple equation, really. -
Quote:Ragdoll physics testing for the new Cirque du Yoga enemy group...Would that also be the reason some of us are seeing very odd ragdolling of enemies? Things like heads and torsos twisting 180 when defeated and constant spasming and writhing until they fade out. Don't get me wrong, it is sort of funny, but it makes enemies look like they're made out of half inflated garbage bags about to blow away on a breeze.

Quote:u got pwned u l337 h4xx0r!!!had a bizarre one last night whilst running a hero tip mission in PI. I forget the title of the mission, but its the one where you have to destroy the carnie masks and then save Jason and his soul.
Anyway I'm in the offices section just wiping out a group of carnies (No Vanessa DeVores in the goups I might add - running at x4 on my MM), and I hadn't yet destroyed the box of masks, when all of a sudden I get a windows error message pop up (alt-tabbing me) saying that the game detected that I was playing on the QA Server etc etc (forget the actual wording).
So I click the "Okay" button and promptly get zoned out of the mission, where upon the game crashes before I manage to load back into PI.
Or something like that, I guess.
Personally, I'm not logging back into CoH til they fix their latest lolpatch. I have bugged at least one new (to me) bug every time I've played since it went live. Honestly, when I want to beta test things, I log into the beta server... -
Being mad about "unannounced" down-time is still ridiculous, since they openly retain the right to do so, at need.
I continue to remain pissed about the "uptime" that has followed...
