  1. And, with alot of looking stuff up on the wiki, I finished it.

If anyone has a controller that looks like PS2/3 controller, then this one should work for them if they've got it set to where CoH recognizes both joysticks.

  2. In any case, do any of you know how to differentiate between multiple joysticks in a bind_load_file? I know the game can, I have both joysticks set on the character I'm playing now to both control movement and the camera, but I dunno how to set that up without manually going into the options and doing it.
  3. Odd. It started working correctly now. I did accidently save a copy as primary.rtf once.
  4. I picked up a gamepad earlier today, looks pretty much almost exactly like a PS2/Xbox controller, 2 control sticks, joy pad, 4 face buttons, 4 shoulder buttons.

That's not enough to play the game with, so I tried going a route inspired by Sandolphan's MM binds, that is, having a button bind other buttons on the fly, only, I ran out of room doing a straight /bind command, so I tried to make a bind load file. Only, the second half of the list doesn't work. At all.

    Here it is.

    primary.txt
    joy3 powexecslot 1
    joy4 powexecslot 2
    joy1 powexecslot 3
    joy2 powexecslot 4
    joypad_down powexecslot 5
    joypad_left powexecslot 6
    joypad_up powexecslot 7
    joypad_right powexecslot 8
    joy8 powexecslot 9
    joy7 powexecslot 10
    joy5 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\primary.txt
    joy6 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\secondary.txt

    secondary.txt
    joy3 +up
    joy4 powexecaltslot 1
    joy1 powexecaltslot 2
    joy2 powexecaltslot 3
    joypad_down powexecaltslot 4
    joypad_left powexecaltslot 5
    joypad_up powexecaltslot 6
    joypad_right powexecaltslot 7
    joy8 powexecaltslot 8
    joy7 powexecaltslot 9
    joy5 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\primary.txt
    joy6 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\secondary.txt

On the primary list, doing joypad_down activates powexecaltslot 4... for no apparent reason. And everything after that does absolutely nothing.
  5. In the past couple of weeks I bought 4-5. The thing to remember about Procs is... it generally doesn't matter what level they are, they do the same no matter what, generally.
  6. Achilles' Heel? No it's not, if you look for the low level ones. I was able to pick up a lvl 12 recipe for 100-200k. Chump change by IO set standards.
  7. Well, there's no other proc that'll fit in Soldiers/Spec Ops that will reduce Resistance, and as the above poster said, the effectiveness never waivers, so the -Res debuff will always be 20%.

Though I wouldn't go so far as to say the lower the better, at least on IOs that aren't procs, in general, higher level IOs will help more (Though it has to be a significant amount of levels to make a difference--it's less than 1% a level)
  8. Far, far fewer characters pick up Hasten than Stamina. Hasten is not a 'required power' by any stretch of the imagination.

    And, QQ moar.
  9. When I think theme, I don't think so much as a look of the character using it, but of the set itself. Assassin's are finesse, basically. I mean, look at what people want to name the special attack 'Assassin's Smash' it's like an oxymoron, assassin's don't smash things!
  10. I can't read half of those IOs, but I do suggest that you put Achilles' Heel Chance for -Res Debuff in Soldiers and Spec Ops, helps get through the S/L resistance that pops up from time to time.
  11. If they won't give SS to Scrappers, they definitely won't give SS to Stalkers.
  12. Full screen, and the compatible cursors worked. Thanks.
  13. I'm playing a Mercs/Traps myself, building it to be AV capable and it's going really well, just got through the old annoying 18-24 patch. I gotta say, the Achilles' Heel Res Debuff works wonders.
  14. Due to my external hard drive dying, I've had to reinstall Going Rogue.

After I did that and tried playing it... the cursor was gone. Invisible or something, but I can't really play without it.

Anyone know how to fix this?
  15. No, but if you never got stamina, and suddenly you get it for free, why worry about slotting it if you didn't need it in the first place?

Or, if you had it, still slot it. There are plenty of powers that don't need additional slots to be good, like has already been mentioned.
  16. We were thinking more along the lines of buff the weaker one, not nerf the stronger one =P
  17. Don't whine about wanting additional slots. You get three powers for free wha frickity boo hoo you don't have all the slots you might want for all the new powers you get.

If you don't want to waste slots and didn't use fitness... fine! Don't slot fitness.

If you still want an end challenge from characters originally without stamina... don't slot for end redux anymore!

Ooo. I'm sorry such big tactical changes are over so many people's heads.
  18. I see the concerns about power creep, but I wouldn't worry about it. The devs seem to basically want to bring up the average, while at the same time drawing back the high end, such as what they did to fury (I.E. make it easier to get and sustain, but make it almost impossibly harder to get to 100% Fury)

I think it'lll be like what they did with ED, power people down, but then power them back up with the Incarnate system.
  19. Probably because the devs didn't double check their work when they copy-pasted.
  20. After playing around with it as a temporary power, I think they should let you unlock the Chaingun for the Assault Rifle.
  21. I was playing my Mercs/ MM earlier today, and I had a thought. The Spec Ops have a neat looking backpack that they wear, plus I think a category like that could include more things people like.

I.E. Backpacks, Sword on Back, Dual Swords on Back, Shield on Back, Jet Packs, Raptor Packs, etc.
  22. All Mercs need is to have a secondary damage type, so it's not just all lethal.
  23. If you intend to tankermind, a taunt is necessary.
  24. Forget Beyeajus, Mercs are fine. People just like to whine.
  25. It's annoying when they run in, but it's easy to deal with with sandalphan's binds, just put them on Goto in a ranged position, though you may have to do it 2 or 3 times if the fight lasts long enough.
