I'm curious to see if your AT name changes when you switch sides. Like MasterMinds become Commanders, Stalkers become Spec Ops, Scrappers become Warlords, Brutes become Brawlers..ect.
[/ QUOTE ]
that would be semi-neat for some reason devastator screams out to me for blasters
[/ QUOTE ]
Only if you assemble it from five Blasters. -
[ QUOTE ]
BM:sol.1 = Create a Dead Zone. Powers automatically turn off once one enters the 50 75 yard radius surrounding the BM.
[/ QUOTE ]
If the powers stayed on, but the graphics weren't rendered, would that help?
Personally, I'd be happy if MM pets didn't swarm the vendors. Maybe if they parked a few yards away.
[ QUOTE ]
BM:sol.2 = Adjust BM Window. Once the consignment window opens, the first thing it does is list everything the market has to sell in the right panel. What if we simply leave that panel blank? No need to have it all displayed at once, the left panel is user-friendly enough for searching for any specific item.
[/ QUOTE ] This is more like it. My only lag is at the initial opening.
Very few of my characters have any need for Arachnos Gun Salvage, Absolute Amazement Recipes or Aardvark Pelts. No need to open up the right-hand panel until I start searching for some specific range of item. -

We can't remove XP from AE. The box advertises it as an alternative way of getting from Lv1-50. To change that would be to open themselves up to a lot of trouble.
But who says that the toons playing AE from Lv1-50 *has* to be Lv50 in the "real" game?
I propose this: Virtual XP and Virtual Levels.
The idea is that it doesn't matter how good the simulation is, it's only a simulation. It cannot prepare you for the real thing. A pilot can spend hours and hours in a flight simulation training until he gets the hang of things, but he's never going to be a real pilot until he actually flies a *real* plane and gets some hands-on experience.
The same applies for being a superhero. You can spend a ton of time honing your fighting skills ... but that doesn't mean that you're ready to take on Lord Recluse himself.
So while you're in the AE, doing AE missions, you get Virtual XP and gain Virtual Levels. This is an alternative leveling path that applies only to AE missions. So if a Lv1 newbie enters a boss farm and goes to Lv50 ... he's Lv50 *only* in the AE building. When he steps outside of the AE building, he's back to being a Lv1 newbie because all of his experience was virtual.
But what if you're already a Lv37 superhero? Does that mean that when you're in the AE building, you're Virtual Lv1? No. You already have 37 levels of real experience, and those real experience are going to help you in the simulation. If you're Security/Threat Level 37, then when you enter the AE building, your Virtual Level is also 37. You can get up to VL50, but when you exit the AE building you'll go back to being Lv37.
Bottom line is, if you want to make it to Lv50 in the real game, you have to play the real game itself. But if you're contend to stay in the AE all the time, you can make it to VL50 and be powerful in the virtual world. You can level from 1 to 50 in AE ... but only in the AE virtual reality.
I'd remove inf and prestige from AE, and increase the ticket output. You could use tickets to purchase slots for both your "real" build and your "virtual" build. Anything that is put into your real build is duplicated into your "virtual" build.
[/ QUOTE ]
Interesting. So a third build added to the Dual Build system?
If you copy into the third build from one of the two existing builds, it would have to know which one to copy from. And you would have to be unable to pull and sell copied enhancements from the virtual build. Otherwise, I could grab a character with purples slotted, copy into a VR build, respec ten of the fresh copies out and sell them, and repeat as needed, using vetspecs, freespecs and respec recipes.
It might also be difficult to keep track of multiple amounts of XP on the same character.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm a horrible person and should be tarred and feathered?
[/ QUOTE ]You might be. I don't know you in RL, though. I only know the Virtual You so far. -

And farming is not working for your Inf.
[/ QUOTE ]
Could you elaborate on this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Have you ever seen a farm? It's the most ridiculous concept of "gaming" that I have ever seen, because it isn't even playing. You've got a couple high level players beating up the threats while lower level players just sit around and watch, soaking up the XP and Inf.
That's not working for your reward. That's not even playing.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's PL'ing.
If I want to re-play a mission a few times becuase it has a high reward/time ratio, I'm not going to pad it with other players. That would just split the drops away from me. And since I'm the only one in the mission, I'm doing ALL of the work, and therefore earn ALL of the drops. Why would my farming not be earning all my own rewards? -

Ewww... that sounds DIRTY!

Nah, it just sounds like your new rapper name.
Or DJ-PK-FunkyFresh or whatever. -
There's not as many badges for being an author as there were.
But your arc has been played and rated. -
Try the "hotlink" feature.
Type the name of the power in brackets, like this: [Brawl]
Then click on the word in your chatbox.
Also works for powers you don't have on that character.
-
Like most Procs, I consider it to be a 100% chance of providing the final set bonus in the set. No more, no less.
-
That's fine, if you have someone else to give you the Costume and Aura missions. Maybe an Arbiter should do it instead?
-
The only way I see this "ignore all with this XX" working is if it were a list of trigger-words for a feature that blocked emails that had had trigger words (like varius permutations of a gold-sellers website name, for example) inside the text or title of the email.
Some players could spend hours coming up with those.
Based on sender names probably wouldn't work, but I do appreciate ideas towards the goal of getting rid of RMTmail. -

I see what your saying, it's been a long time since I actually used eviscerate...does it even need a target? or can you just stand there and do it with noone around you like Spin? If you don't need a target, it makes things more difficult to swap out an animation.
[/ QUOTE ]
It does require a target, like any of the melee cones that I've ever used.
Granted, I haven't used all of them though.
[ QUOTE ]
Another great animation would be to hold your hands as far apart as possible, low and behind you...then coming up fast crossing each other above your head in a big X motion.....just not sure that it could be made to take up 2.33 seconds of cast time without having a lame and annoying pause at the end like Spin currently has.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, it could do that animation as you suggested, then finish with a rude gesture at the end in order to make up the extra time. -

[ QUOTE ]
So which part of that leads into this?
[ QUOTE ]
red-side needs this badly.
[/ QUOTE ]
And no mention of Psi resistance?
If this is a PVP complaint, then the devs already thought of it - Patron Shields give their bonus to everything in PVP.
If this is a PVE complaint, I'm just not clear on what you're in need of Fire resistance for.
[/ QUOTE ]
Quite a few Enemies PvE that use fire and throw fire patch: Circle for one, Malta as well and Longbow flamethrowers, Skulls, etc.
I'd like to see it implemented in the Shield resistance. I find it odd Villain Shields don't have it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Minor Nitpick:
Skulls? Skulls have darkety-darkness (and shotguns, bats and pistols), so I believe you're thinking of Hellions. If so, you wouldn't have access to your Patron Powers while Malefactored down far enough for them to be a threat. -
Destructible buildings in Mayhems would be nice.
Unfortunately, they would probably have a metric boatload of HP, and when destroyed would have a huge damaging AoE explosion to one-shot any character in the mission. (RE: Steel Canyon fires) -
[ QUOTE ]
Ah, it seems I mistakenly was looking at the AE details instead of the GvE details.
I do have the GvE edition.
So the sinister and justice pieces should be available to me then since I upgraded from a free trial account, correct? I recieved my VIP badge and teleporter as soon as I logged in so I can only hope I have some new costume goodies waiting for me when I access a tailor.
Thank you for the speedy replies.
[/ QUOTE ]
Please note that the Pocket D teleporter might not work until your character hits L3. This would be to prevent CoV characters from exiting the tutorial without first picking thier initial contact, and thus getting "all screwed up" in terms of the contact tree. -
If you are planning on doing End Drain (especially on AV-class foes) with ElecMelee, you are going to need Electric Armor for Power Sink, and to a lesser extent, Lightning Field. It does crazy good sapping.
I've used it to drain Deathsurge to zero Endurance a few times on a team.
Unfortunately, against anything other than Energy-Damage foes, Electric Armor is considered "meh" by the general Brute populace, especially those who want Tank-style play and a self-heal.
It does have good QoL powers, like Grounded (Herd or Ignore Sappers!) and Lightning Reflexes (Auto: +Rech/+Run) though.
Here's the question: How much of Elec / Elec will be changed when ported over? -
Would it be possible to grab a normal creature from one of the established PvE factions (say..Tuatha de Dannon) and give it Fly as a travel power?
-
[ QUOTE ]
what would I like to see?
more cool stuff.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a safe bet. -
Smurphy, don't you assemble TF's (over VU2009?) and such where you require that every character, regardless of AT or powersets, contributes to the offence?
And aren't they usually wildly successful? -
[ QUOTE ]
Not sure if it's been suggested before, but why can't we just get a function where we have the option to only get emails from people that are on our friends or global friends lists and our Supergroup? I mean, I can do it on most forum software, why not on the game right?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, it has been suggested before. Multiple times in the Suggestions Forum, and mentioned in this thread.
And I support that suggestion then, now and in the future. -
Distinctively Mutant-y?
Hmm....
New faces with extra eyes?
New tail options: Third Arm or Tentacle. -
Heh.
Let's see.
They could put either Alt_O_Holic or Perfect_Pain in charge of tickets about farming. Part_Troll could be in charge of petitions regarding teammate's bad behavior. There's a few people in the PWNZ forum who could be in charge of PVP complaints.
What would we put Power in charge of...? -
There are already seven Resistance Sets.
Now if you mean that you want new sets to have Typed Damage Resistance as set bonuses, or maybe add some damage resistance as set bonuses to some existing sets, then I would agree. I mean "debt protection" is a worthless set bonus, and more of a placeholder than anything else. -
[ QUOTE ]
Example: Somebody on one of my global channels reported last night that the market activity showed a Boresight common salvage sold for 80 million influence. Rich farmers are pricing regular people out of the market.
[/ QUOTE ]
Run one AE arc, trade your tickets for any piece of salvage you want. If it's a Common, it might take a few random rolls, but you can sell off the salvage gained from the "failed" rolls. One sale (of 80 million or not) does not make for a Market trend. -
