Wow. I was unaware that the rep comment could be so long. I've been limiting myself quite a bit, while still trying to make my comments make sense and cover the subject.

This.
Redside View: It would certainly be nice to have a larger supply from which to buy from, since certain items often have a supply of zero. If heroside truly has more $Inf, then it will trickle over through sales and equalize. -

Quote:Two more alternate animations, should this be a customizable power:The power would work like this: the character targets the drop point and uses the power, using a range limit similar to Omega Maneuver. The character then pulls out a satchel (animators could use the duffel bag for Mercenary MM upgrades) and tosses it to the targeted spot.
*) Character tosses a round, black, bowling-ball-like object (preferably with hissing fuse). Would fit with a cartoony feel, or (WWI-era?) "anarchist" types.
*) Character throws what looks like several sticks of dynamite tied together. -
As visable only to yourself, not your teammates. If I decide that I don't want to see {BIFF!} and {Kablooie!!} as the effects of my powers, and I turn it off, then I would not want to see it as the results of my teammates.

We need to get some shelf space for the boxes, not just in niche places like Gamestop, EBgames and such, but in big-box stores where the grannies are likely to purchase stuff for the young'uns. Any place that has the competition's MMOs should have ours.
At the places I listed, I saw CO, WoW and the rest of the usual suspects.
The shopping season is soon, so let's get out there and kick some :0 !! -
My opinion: Drops are a better source of wealth. My Elec/Elec Brute hit 400 million in overall wealth before breaking 11 million in Inf dropped directly from the mobs. (Measured by badge progress vs. <300M Cash on hand + rough (lowball?) estimate of enhancements slotted in build>)

I have two arcs that are Lowbie-Friendly (I use Longbow, Security Guards and such), villianous and soloable.
They are a bit on the silly/lighter-side, though, rather than the darkety-dark side of villainy. More like Vernon van Grun and less Peter Themari/Westin Phipps.

I was getting nervous, having been through Fred Meyer, Target and Walmart's bins this week and not seeing a single copy of CoH. Christmas is getting close.
Edit: I've seen our product at those stores before. Just not recently. -
Yes, I am happy to have known our good friend HEROID before he got his big break. I was even a member of his SG, "The Other Guys".
But now, he appears to have sold the screenplay and will hopefully make some big bucks.
But will he remember the "little people" when he's famous?
Will he cut the rest of his SG-mates in on the action?
I'm speaking about "The Other Guys: the movie".

Gratz.
I'm sure that by now, you've discovered the first of the additional mission difficulty settings available to CoH-parents.
Baby-on-lap: removes mouse use, except to the occasional door and glowie.
Next is Toddler-on-lap: same as above, but may have random keyboard inputs occasionally. Very small chance (but this has happened!) of "press-the-shiny", specificly the computer's reset button.
For the CoH player with pets there's : Cat-on-Lap. Occasional random keyboard input. Mouse use is not restricted except for once/day, when it is yanked off of the desk by it's cord. Optionally, there is a very small chance of "walk-across-the-powerstrip". Yes, this happened once. Steps have been taken to relocate the strip. -

Quote:No, it's not hard. I suggest that you ask for advice about how to find unused names, so that it can be easy for you too.1: free up names of unused chacters its realy hard to get a good name nowadays i litrally spend like 30 minutes trying to come up w/ something but its alwasy taken. champions online has a system where names are tied to globals i think taht would be nice to have in coh.
Quote:b. the abillity to pick up and throw stuff would be cool. u could pick up cars or telephone poles or even pedestrains lol the amt of weight u can lift would be based on ur lvl and at or somethin.
And as for that "lol" comment? If you can't take your suggestions seriously, why should anyone else?
Quote:3. make fly faster srsly its slower tahn a crippled glacier u ever watch superman he flys really fast unlike the turtles in this game.
Quote:4. make it so heroes can go to the rouge isles and villians can go to pargon city and make it so u can flag urself for pvp so u can fight anywhere, i think this would encorage pvp alot its dead right now if u havent noticed.
We have BB, Siren's, Warburg, RV and the Arena for PvP.
The entire Redside PvE game has only 7 zones (and access to Co-op RWZ, Cimmerora and Pocket D for holiday events)
Opinion: Spreading out the PvP locations would spread out the PvPers to the point that they wouldn't find each other, thus resulting in NO PvP.
The lack of PvP is more due to the way that PvP is set up. -
Should at least some of the character's mission difficulty sliders (I am as good as X# of Heroes, Have/Don't Have Bosses when solo) apply to ToT spawns?
-
When defeated, your character will be dead.
However, in a few minutes the 1000mm clone gun will fire a pre-made clone of your character (in a specially padded, shock-resistant shell) to the location so that you can continue play.
The clone will be assumed not to be a member of the Resistance, nor a mutant.
Emperor Cole is your friend. Have a nice day! -

I don't kNOw what you are talking aboUt!
Any subliminal messages are merely in your imagination, and/or were placed in this transmission by an unknown third party well after it left my control.
Editted for, um, accuracy in spelling and such.... -

If a more high-tech animation is wanted, here is my suggestion. Have the character whip out the Aid Other gadjet with one hand, and with the other, toss a disc-shaped object that skitters towards the foe.

My fellow heroes,
I have heard the rumblings and mumblings that some of us intend to travel to Preatorian Earth to join some resistance group to overthrow it's current government. Now, I'll admid that it must be tempting to do.
But what right do we have to travel to another dimension to tell them how thier government must be run? We are the city that produced Mayor "Spanky" Robinowitz for goodness' sake.
I'm not trying to crush your dreams of reliving WWII fantasies of joining the French Resistance and being the one who removed that dictator from power.
Our job here is not done.
We can't abandon our city to fight over there.
Giant Monsters wander our ports, our sewers and even our city parks.
Despite all our best efforts, the Hamidon is barely pushed back to a stalemate.
The Rikti are somewhat contained in the RWZ, but occasionally stream forth to fall from the skies like hail.
Our citizens are still getting mugged on the streets and thugs from the Rogue Isles still infiltrate our city to rob our banks and cause general mayhem before slinking off into the night.
If we get involved over there and fail, we will start an interdimensional war that we cannot afford.
But let's say that you do succeed over there? Who is going to rule? What system are we going to set up? They will probably end up with chaos, and have the strongest rogue claw his way up to being the next Emperor Cole.
Yes, I guess you can call me an Isolationist.
Awesome Possum, Hero of the City. -
Quote:It sounds like it has somewhat reasonable tradeoffs, I guess. The speed could never be buffed, unlike concealment powers.
There would be no extra defense, unlike concealment powers.
You could not attack while this would be active.
Travel powers and jumping would be disallowed.
On the other hand, it's a 'free' stealth power.
This would give all characters a 'sneaky' option for missions. (Though obviously slower than other concealment options.)
It would stack with other stealth powers, to a limited degree, but have its own 'stealth cap' so that one would always be visible when in touching distance. (No matter how sneaky one is, it take real invisibility to walk right under somebody's nose.)
The power could also be "interruptible," so once attacked, it would deactivate, with a longer recharge than any sprint-like power.
I suppose that if it might open up more options for missions, it could be worth it.
I am immediately reminded of the old Hollows missions where lowbies would have to learn all about agro and perception ranges in order to get to missions in areas that were full of purple-conning foes.
I would not use this power outdoors, but that's just me. The speed debuff would be too much for my taste in those instances.
The idea of being able to /powexec_sneakto get the mission done, rather than always having to fight is interesting. I could see certain storylines where it is important NOT to let the enemy know that you've stolen, copied and replaced thier secret plans. Currently, with any grab the glowie mission, you have to defeat the closest spawn, too. And that would blow the objective.
