I agree.
Would storage of enhancements be clustered in individual screens (and thus permissions) by individual table, or would they share a single collective, with the number of tables serving only to limit the total storage? -
Quote:It sounds like a nice conspiracy theory. With the imaginary logins, they should have added NPCs that look like players running around town, going into Wentworth's, standing by the Market for a few minutes, then running off into mission doors. You do realize that you are being manipulated into thinking there has been a massive amount of more people playing the game. Along with Going Rogue they introduced the Queue system. This system pre-fills each server with an alotted amount of imaginary logins so that people will be able to queue their way in if the server is grayed out red (which was only on the day of GR). There's two advantages to this system, one as the already mentioned being able to login eventually once the server is full to the brim. The other is that it makes the servers "look" like they are fuller than they are, this makes people believe that there are actually people to play with so that they will login in hopes of teaming and such. If the servers used to be green before they are now yellow, unless there is absolutely NO one on that server in which it will be green for the NPCs, if they are red then they used to be yellow.
Before you make half cocked comments take the time to look past the smoke and mirrors that have clouded your senses. Yeah sure the game probably has picked up a few more subs but it's more of the old crowd that used to play this game, how much is a game with dated looks and graphics going to attract new customers? Wouldn't the fitness gimmick have been smarter to introduce new players to with the "expansion" since they wouldn't realize the fitness pool was necessary anyways? It's great that there's a whole new tutorial zone for the few new subs they got but I'm sure those that have played this game for so long would have liked to have seen an addition to what they can do with their 50s instead of "later". -

As a Bots/FF MM, I'm already close to AFK in missions, with the exception of spamming (5-slotted) Force Bolt for lulz.
As a FF/Energy Defender, I've got plenty of time to blast between bubble application.
However, if the duration could be extended without increasing the EndCost or reducing the Defensive Buff, then sure, I would not mind. -
I recolored my FF/Energy Defender's Blasts to match Force Bolt's natural color.
And upon reading this thread, I'm tempted to do a Radiation Melee/ Armor on my Electric Brute. If only the Patron powers were recolorable. -
You would think that after doing the Respec Trial in Terra Volta ("Radiation Exposure has altered your powers such that...") that everyone who did one would be Science Origin afterwards.

Some kind of wierd Proc'ing something....nah. I got nothing.

Quote:Maybe I don't understand the question, but....tl;dr at bottom
I came across something when creating a new toon due to my n00bness which has one known symptom as severe altisis which gave me a question to give you guys.
If you are RPing as a character who has an origin which origin do you pick?
In my context a toon (Thugs/Poision MM) has always had an amazing ability to perceive - he can tell if someone is excited, nervous or lying from a single twitch. But he keeps how he can a secret. Even I don't know if he uses spells, if he was born with the ability to do it or he's so used to people that he can figure it out.
However I do know how the ability started. The base of this ability is that he used to be able to notice things better than the average person. And by practicing that he could apply that to people. Sure you could say "That's natural origin - he trained to be able to do that!" However you look at telekenetics and most of them start out really weak and have to train on lifting up the spoon with their minds before they can move onto the toaster and that's definately not natural origin.
Anyway I won't tell you which I picked in the end. (I might later if you ask nicely.) I want to know what you guys would/have use(d).
tl;dr: If a toon you rp keeps how they got their powers a secret which origin did you pick?
You have to pick something for the origin before the character can roll out onto the streets of Paragon/Preatoria/Mercy Isle/TutorialVille. And that little tag is something you can never respec.
So I think up the origin of thier powers beforehand and choose that during character creation. Actually writing out exactly how they got thier powers is a part that I often skip, whether I've decided or not.
When I first saw the thread title, I thought it was going to be something else. Something that would belong in the Suggestions & Ideas section.
Perhaps we could use a new Origin in addition to the Big 5.
Origin: "Unknown"
Origin-Specific Power: None.
DO's and SO's usable: None.
Special Benefits: Character may choose one of the five normal origins later, but will then be stuck with what they take.
Damage modifier for using Blackwand/Nem Staff Vet Powers: Same as Natural. -
Quote:If Inf is going to be a problem, (Pre-Issue 9 characters have this problem, at least in my stable) be advised:She has about 12 million INF to burn right now on IO or recipes and comps as needed. Not sure whether that's considered a "low budget" for L50 IOs or plenty of scratch to build out anything from Auction House purchases. So that amount of INF is one constraint, and the other is we don't want to deal with PvP to find PvP-specific IOs.
1) That "Frankenslotting" of cheap, low-demand IO's can get you a lot of bang for the buck. It won't be like the big bucks builds that you see posted, but it'll still be significantly better than SOs.
(Frankenslotting: The act of slotting IOs from multiple different sets into a single power, missing out on set bonuses, but still gaining the enhancement values on the power itself)
2) You can Email Influence from one character to another now. (You may already know this, but you said "We've been away...", so I thought I'd mention it. -
Here you go:
Ghandi (1982) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083987/
At 191 minutes, copy it, edit it down to 100 minutes, show it and ask them, "So, do you feel that the story was missing anything, and if so, what?" -
Quote:Back in my day, every mission door had a guy doing the /em boombox, possibly up to 7 guys doing /em boombox while someone was sprinting back from the hospital. Now I don't know which dev thought it was a good idea to give players the ability to eternally dribble a basketball and subject everyone around them to constant, rhythmic thumping but
oh man
go to hell
It was mandatory.
Jack said so. -
Quote:Using SOs: Passives 3 Slot. Toggles 4 slot (1 End, 3 Def)Which is more important shields or passives? How many slots per power?
Common IOs: 2 and 4 slot.
Take pretty much all of your secondary. (I skipped the Tier 9, but after everything else was IO'd out with sets I was in the 45% range.) -
Quote:I'd slightly lower the drop rate of Temp Powers and costume piece recipes. I hate Vendor Trash.if you were given the opportunity by the devs to revamp all things economy and reward related how would you do it?
Just for giggles I'd allow the Random Roll option for 20 Merits to have a very tiny chance of grabbing a Purple Recipe (regardless of character level).
I'd get rid of the Merit Vendor NPCs (and thier ugly costumes) and put thier functionality into the regular vendors.
If this also gets me into the Market UI Adjustment team, I'd add an option to bid on ONE item within a level range up to TEN, in addition to our current ability to bid on up to ten identical items. Some days I only want ONE Proc, but don't care what level it is and don't want to waste more than one Market slot. -

I suppose that if it's pretty much given away with any purchase at GameStop or EBgames or whatever shop at the local mall, then someone might read it on the bus ride home. Or they could read the back of the box of the game they just bought.

Quote:I fully agree with this poster, for the reasons stated within the quote-box./signed, as they say.
I was just rebuilding one of my SGs' base the other night and it occured to me that at the end of the day, it was just another Tech base at, well, base. Base names would be one way of letting people know what the base is supposed to portray as well. You can't currently tell the Sub-Humans' Underwater Lair from Mistress Lash's Dungeon or the Freedom Satellite from Moonbase Clearwater once you're inside if they all come down to being either hewn stone, high tech or dirty. -
Try this: High Noon. 1952, Gary Cooper, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044706/
In my H.S. English class, we had to watch this movie, and an episode of Miami Vice that ripped off the same plotline , pick our favorite and write why. -
I often slot TOs just as placeholders to remind me of what I want to slot later.

1) An unlocked fridge.
2) Baked goods on the kitchen counter.
3) A large doggy door.
4) A chunk of old carpet by the water heater.
5) A bath tub. -
Sounds like a plot for a SyFy channel movie.
Psionic Vampire Bedbug Thing-a-ma-jigs infest theatre, strike while thier victims are distracted by the movie, rendering them into nearly-bloodless zombies. Dry Zombies roam the city seeking blood and brains. -
If the APPs/PPPs opened up earlier, people would be unable to complain about being unable to 6-slot the last power in those sets.
If the PPP's opened at 35-ish, the arcs to unlock them should be moved a bit earlier (also a good reason to rewrite those arcs for slight improvement?), but if not, they provide a free respec at the end anyway, so it's not that great of a loss. -
I assumed that the OP wasn't talking about a VEAT, because they would have to have at least TWO characters that way. But yeah, there's that sorta-sixth one.

Would it be any better if the power involved shooting smily faces out at people? You could draw your powers from the darkest, most evil sources while pretending loudly to be a good person.
