  1. This is without a doubt the MOST ANNOYING sound effect in this game. I hate it. I have left teams because of it. Its annoying in Wentworths and I play with headphones on which makes it even WORSE...

And the graphics are also very very taxing on the eyes. They should be toned down a bit.

They need to take this noise off COMPLETELY
  2. I just cant believe people are actually complaining about something that didnt come out on a date it was never promised to come out on...

    unreal

    AE XP Suggestion

One problem with all these suggestions. AE has always been sold as something with XP. It has always been said that one could play ENTIRELY in AE and go from 1-50. You take away the XP and you will find many people wont be interested to play it at all.

Obviously SOMETHING needs to be done about the exploits and in all honesty if the development team wasnt so focuses on Issue 19 right now this thing would have probably been fixed already, but the removal of XP isnt the answer to me. nor is earning vitrual xp because I am spending REAL time and I want REAL rewards. Patrol XP I am not spending ANY time playing at all.

Again something needs to be done about it.

Well as a person that plays many tanks I find that I do play different styles on different tanks.

I have So far at level 50

My Shield/SS, Shield/Fire and Fire/Fire definitely play as more offensive builds. While they all tank very well ( yes even the Fire/Fire ) their sets definitely lend toa style that is more offense.. Take the mobs head on and take them down.

Then there are the more defensive tanks. The Ice/Stone aggro magnet of a tank that uses Fault to stun foes into next week. The Inv/Nrg with perma dull pain that you can beat on all day and you really have NO hope of beating him. The Dark/Stone ( with the Dark Armor colored to look like sand ) who really shines on a team with a controller with immobilize because he can keep foes stunned with Oppressive Gloom and Fault. and they wont wander all over the place

There there is the inbetween tank. The Will/SS with Rage on Auto. He can tank with the best of them but also beat your brains out. His tank motto.. Beat me if you can.. Survive if I let you. He uses both Taunt AND the Presence pool Provoke to maintian peoples focus on him.

I play everything expect scrappers and talkers pretty mush although I have played them, and whole blasters are my favorite, Tanks have a special place in my heart because of the way a well played one can totally change a team.
  5. I alwayus start buy IO's at level 32 so I can purchase level 35 IO's. Ill start getting sets around levels 35 and for regular IO's I will eventually replace them with 50's.
  6. Obliteration however has very little end reduction in the set.

I suspect that the very, very few of you who don't want inherent Fitness are not worth the Devs' time to make it optional. This is a change that has been requested since Beta. This game tries to provide a huge amount of customization, but there is always the cost/benefit consideration -- whether the few people who want (or don't want) a particular option is worth spending the time making it optional. If the Devs had unlimited resources, I'm sure they would love to let you choose whether or not to take Fitness as an inherent.
    This !!!!
  8. WOW im looking at my build for this thing and its gonna be expensive. I had to forego the Earth Mastery epic pool in favor of Energy mastery just to make sure I have good end reduction and I couldnt slot Stalagmites properly. Plus its recharge was longish and I will bring up fault much quicker anyway. Between that and Tremor I saw myself using Stalagmites very little.

From what I say this moring I will get to 44% smashing/lethal defense. but its going to take a few sets of Kinetic Combats. I was hoping to get 45% melee instead but I cnat get the +3.75 to melee until the six slot with Touch of Deaths in a build which was hurting for slots as is.

I think this will be a very fun tank and something every different.

Also the only primaries I dont have yet are Dark and Stone so that will be a new tanking experience for me.
  9. I will solve the end issues.. That not a problem.
  10. never really seen any of these.. anyone play one and how do you like it.. Ive never played DA and I hate Dark Melee ( HATE the flurry power... just hate it ) and I was thinking I could reallt stack stuns with Oppressive Gloom. Fault and Stalagmites...
  11. I decided im going to respec into it right away and see how I like it and if I dont I will respec out with the second free respec.

Adding Provoke into my Bots build for Issue 19 for just this reason !!!
  13. One of the many reasons I play this game. One of the better experiences I have had with the development community. Thank you for taking the time to let us know what is being planned. I think the majority of us would much rather have something come out that works well and is a smoother experience for ALL rather than something that is broken.

Also thanks to the Beta Testers both closed and open who provide this kind of feedback and continue to make this one of the greatest MMO communties !!!

Now I have more time to plan respecs and buy recipes !!!!
  14. They dont stack, but I have several in my Rad Blaster build to help increase my chances of the proc actually going off.

I did pretty much what you did. Physical Perfection helps a lot and if you get Conserve Power, you really don't need anything else. You can skip Consume and not miss it, if you cover recovery through other means.
Thats what I was finding. I rarely if ever used it, and the annoying thing was that the recharge is so long that it wasnt worth it.

I think I would much rather have physical perfection working ALL the time, than a power I rarely use working some of the time.
  16. in my Issue 19 rebuild for my Fire/Fire is looking at some changes. I dropped Consume ( the old version ) and picked up Physical Perfection and six slotted it with two end mods. three health and one +End proc. That combined with Stamina. Numina Regen/Recovery, and a Miracle Recovery and another +End Proc in Stamina pretty much eliminated my end issues.

So I dropped Consume and picked up the new Burn. Now I see that the new Consume offers End debuff protection? However it still has a veyr long recharge timer ( which I have always hated about that power )

So for me the question is. Keep the extra end recovery and regen rate or go with Consume. I would still keep Physical Perfection but it would only have one slot to me a mule for the +End Proc.

    Thoughts ????
  17. I have found maybe 2 characters that I will not touch. I like them the way they are. Everyone else is being changed and some are getting major changes.
  18. I would like a MUCH less silly looking animation.. PLEASE..
  19. I have some ideas on what I would like to do but I would like to see what others are doing as well.

    Thank you in advance.
  20. Excellent response CMA.

I have to agree. Even if you were to super IO out a scrapper if you did the same to a tank, the tanks survivability far eclipses the scrapper.
  21. What always causes a problem for me is that many times what people consider " tanking " IMO isnt tanking.

Running in and SURVIVING the alpha is not tanking.

Aggroing a group is NOT tanking. ANYONE can aggro a group.

There are builds where a brute or a scrapper will be able to do some tanking. As someone stated that is by design so that you basically dont have to sit around waiting for a tank to show up before you can do a mission or TF. With the help of a team that Scrapper or Brute will be able to do some things, however ultimately they will not be able to manage and hold aggro as well as a tanker.

A tanker does not only have an aura, a tanker has taunt AND a tanker has gauntlet all tools to help him/her stand between the mobs and the team.

Many other builds are getting defense through IO's but what they are NOT getting is resistance to defense debuffs, very high base hit points, very high resistance and heals or regen all designed to help them control aggro and survive the event.

If tanks did more damage they would be very very unbalanced. I remember w few years ago they played with raising tank damage even slightly and it totally unbalanced the scale. I believe the new Brusing effect is a way for tanks to get some use out of their initial attacks and help at the lower levels.

There will ALWAYS be extreme builds especially with IO's and now with the Alpha slots coming but remember this is not the norm.
