Quote:The ParagonWiki article on Weekly Strike Targets has an external link to the official post that they update monthly with the next month's list. They have never given a time of day, it just switches over at some point during the morning.I guess what I didn't know is whether there's an independent way to determine the WST from an official source (not global channels or pwiki, but coh.com for example)? And not just the date ranges, but when they are actually enabled.
The external link to the official update post is here, btw. -
Congrats on random thread necromancy, especially with a hyperbolic response to a comment about the game ending. Of COURSE the game will see the back of you; there will be no game left. That's what Maestro was talking about.

The WST update isn't until later in the morning though. I think 9am PST. It doesn't get flipped at midnight like the Paragon Market stuff.

Some people have said they have access to them, but I still don't.

Uuhhhh, nope. I got my CoH DVD edition (cheap at Big Lots) and applied it to my already existing account just fine. As have hundreds of other people in City's history. It's just a retail code. You use it like any other retail code.

They can't, actually. They are immobilized. The only way they can move is to get enough immobilize protection put on them. And since immobilize protection is pretty rare in PVE enemies, they don't get enough and thus can't move.

Quote:The problem being is that I've already pretty much emptied out my couch cushions for life essentials and this $150 is all I've got left. The rest of my money is earmarked for food and stuff. I saw this from TigerDirect, but that's $160 BEFORE shipping (though free shipping if I choose the ssllooww ship speed)...I wouldn't see the $30 rebate for a month or two...even $10 right now is really precious. Seriously strapped. :/The price difference between the HD 6790 and the HD 6850 was small enough so people simply dug through the couch cushions and visited a Coinstar machine and bought the HD 6850.
Looking at NewEgg, they have some post rebate HD 6850s for around $130. -
So early this year, my graphics card took a big poop and is now a paperweight in my "computer junk pile" (waiting to get off my lazy bum to take it all in for recycling). For the interim, I got myself an HD6450. Well, it's been over six months now, and the low-quality "interim" graphics (City has to be set to minimum to go above 15 fps) are getting really really old. I'm in the market for a new graphics card, but don't really have a whole lot to spend (recent hospital visit and surgery, Christmas, rent, bills, etc. etc. etc.) - so for less than $150, I'm hoping to get something high-end from a generation or two ago.
However, I did see this from Amazon, which seems like it's too good to be true...$125 for almost-new (just a year-ish old) high-end card? What am I missing? The specs don't look odd but it's been a few years since I was really into computer upgrades and things have skyrocketed out of my expertise in that short time.
I have plenty of space in my case, I have two power cables available, my power supply is an 800W modular beast with ridiculous numbers on the voltage rails. So is there a better card out there than the one linked above for a better price? Mind, $150 is pretty much my absolute maximum (keeping in mind S&H/tax charges which reduces what I can pay for the card) right now.

Sister Solaris's loincloth is the same as Sister Airlia's in a different shape/color; it's two capes (one for the crotch flap and one for the butt flap). The devs have nixed it.
-
There is none.
They have a script that they ran twice (publicly announced; they may have ran it a couple times unannounced), but they have not done it in a couple years, and Zwillinger has said that they won't be running it again now with Freedom. -
Yes. You have to confirm you're a hero/villain. If you're currently a hero, that means doing 11 missions (10 tips, 1 morality). If you're currently a vig/rogue, that means doing 22 missions (10 tips, 1 morality to become a hero/villain, 10 tips, 1 morality to confirm hero/villain). The first requires two days, the second requires four.

You have to buy them, buy the salvage, and craft them all. However, there is often extra testing options available from the Merit Vendors and the Incarnate Vendors that allow 1 inf for the various merits.

Quote:You mean like Sister Airlia and the Sister Solaris and her sybils? The devs have nixed the idea. Too many capes on one model.Generally when people have asked for loincloths in the past, they've been looking for something flowing, possibly using cape-style physics. Which would cause serious clipping issues with the characters' legs.

Quote:Retail code and points purchase are separate tokens. Obligatory wiki link: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Reward_TokenNot quite. If he has a controller from long ago, then he probably has at least one retail box code and a few months of play time. So he should already have the bonus token.
You get tokens multiple ways:
If you have an account: 1 token [everyone gets this]
If you apply a retail code: 1 token (even if you apply every single retail code out there, only 1 token)
If you had old subscription time: 1-34 tokens, 1 per old vet badge (or 1 per 3 months sub pre-Freedom)
If you had old subscription time: 1-7 tokens, 1 per year subscribed pre-Freedom
If you buy points: 1 token (first time purchase only)
If you buy points: 1 token per 1200 purchased, cumulative (doesn't have to be 1200 at a time) and repeatable (bonus points count! VIP points do not)
If you subscribe: 1 token per month at the end of the subscription time (though people with uninterrupted sub time since pre-Freedom have their token reward dates all kinds of screwed up)
EDIT: Also, reward token unlocks happen automagically as you are granted the tokens, not requiring you to socket them in anywhere. My preemie account has unlocked T4's bonuses even though I haven't slotted most of my tokens yet. -
If you do not have access to the invention system (via license, paragon rewards, or VIP), you will not get salvage or recipe drops.

The only person I'd actually trust on a player board would be Arcanaville, and she already has the devs' ears better than pretty much any other player, so this whole exercise is useless to me.

I'm just torqued by the "eight hours max idle time" bulldookie. If I go to work or go to sleep, I'm guaranteed to get logged out. That is *stupid*. There should be no reason to nullify my cookie for some stupid "security reason". What forums I can post to should be tracked on the server end, not within my damn cookie, so there's no reason to expire my cookie if I don't want to. It's not like you can change anything within the master account or game by hijacking my forum login - the data in the cookie doesn't cross-over to the ncsoft store, and the game doesn't care about cookies at all.

The rest of the game doesn't mysteriously disappear for those 20 hours. It's not like you can't do anything else. Also, you have to sleep and eat and go to the bathroom and go to work/school/socializing SOMETIME. Might as well be during that downtime.
It only takes two days for each alignment shift. Don't try to pass it off as any kind of hindrance. Two days. That's not long at all.
