OK.. assuming no word play on Z's part... If the "Ryhmalist" isn't an AT... that's going to be 1 funky melee set.....

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but my take on Z's comment is that the "Ryhmalist" has been dropped.
Doesn't surprise me, given all the people who posted in the "how much would you pay for a new AT" thread things like "I wouldn't give a cent over 600 PP". It would probably need to sell for something like 12,000 PP to make it economically viable. |
With most of their functionality linked to ape-lifting? Viable on their own? I think not.

You could ape-lift into a log or a hat, with abilities working differently for each.
lol... you guys.
I am a pillar of honesty.
Also, what I said was brutally honest. We are not working on new AT's. |
Until I see something that states to the contrary, going to assume VK is right

Well there's also the distinction that it would be an EAT, not an AT. They are two entirely different animals afterall. An AT lets you choose your primary and secondary from whatever power types your AT deals in. EATs have that all pre-selected.
There's also the possibility that their testing work on a Snape drifting AT led them to repurpose the idea as several power sets, which could allow them to offer more forms than just a rat and a frog.
For example, a werewolf power set could be a separate power set from a gorilla one - it could generate more sales in the long term and a one-off new AT with only a couple of forms.

Great, now i'm imagining Snape as a street racer.
Or did you mean shapeshifting AT? If so it's about time they capitalized on lessons learned from making the Kheldian ATs. i mean, i like Paragon City well enough, better than Praetoria or the Clockwork King dimension, but enough of my characters are from other worlds or dimensions that i'm no Primalist. |
hoorb* mastery!!!!
So, it was an advertisement for an MMO mouse made by a company looking to have brand synergy with NCSoft and Paragon Studios. Big deal. We were told last week that this week's show would be with the Logitech rep talking about the mouse. He answered our questions, actually discussed the features and specs, and put up with our usual nonsense. I sincerely hope you folks don't get this bent out of shape once the coffee talks have to split time between CoH and Paragon's new project.
And for what it's worth, the mouse itself looks like it'll be pretty damn useful for MMO players and gamers in general. If I don't luck out and win one, I'll probably end up buying one anyways as my current gaming mouse is slowly crapping out on me.
