The game is supposed to be setup so that once you've download the first couple of stages you can start playing while it finishes downloading the rest of the game. This lets you start playing ASAP. The game has grown over the years and is now several gigabytes in size so if you have a slow connection it might take a while regardless.

The last time I had to fully dl and patch coh when I came back for freedom it was something like a 50+ hour download, no joke, but that's mostly because of the unfortunate circumstance of where I live.
But yeah basically as Lothic said, the staged download let's you start playing sooner, instead of having to wait for the entire thing to finish.

Basically the way it was explained to us was we live something like this:
<-----l.....O.....l----> Where the O is where we live and the outside areas is where comcast gives service. It's really stupid.
Exit the game, exit the launcher. Make sure that both the game and NCLauncher isn't running by checking the processes in the task manager. If neither are running then start the launcher up again but don't run the game, just download it.

I finished downloading my CoH a couple hours ago and when I was about to log into the game, a message popped up saying that I needed to wait for stage 2 download to finish.
Its been a very, very long time and it's still at 0%. Is there any way to do a full game downloading, all for 4 stages, before playing?
