Using game textures and music

technically speaking, and assuming a VERY broad approach, extracting in-game materials can be considered to be altering the game client which is against the EULA. |

Is extracting images/textures and sound files from the game and using them in fan art against the EULA? I've seen many videos that seem to use game sounds and music, but before I invest more time I wanted to ask.

However, I've gotten away with a lot of stuff like this in my comics and the videos I've made. It seems to be more about what you do with the materials you extract. Bottom line: If you do it, use them in your art, make note that the art is making use of materials from the game, and present it as fan art and nothing else, I think you'll be alright and they'll give you a pass.
