Get Away Girl - The None Synergistic Superhero (And playing her)

Origin: Paragon City has always seemed to pride itself on innovation over safety. After all, they all know any accident will give someone super powers, so why bother putting up safety.

Get Away Girl was a student at Steel Canyon Uni, studying Chemistry and Physics. On a trip to a nearby facility, the scientists were combining two new materials. Repulsium and its exact opposite, Getawayium. Due to the two elements repulsive nature, they could only be contained by reducing their temperature to absolute zero.
The resulting blast from combining them caught Get Away Girl full on, granting her control over cold and blasts of pure repulsive energy. Now she is Get Away Girl and GTFO!

So, I've made Get Away Girl. Her whole concept is I wanted to play a character with two powers that work agaisnt each other, in this case an Ice/Energy Dominator.

I've also self imposed some restrictions to make this more challenging. She is not allowed any IOs. She can't take a travel power till level 14.

Now, I started her off and ran her through the tutorial for a fast level. I chose Block of Ice, Frostbite and Power Bolt and so far, no trouble at all with her. The knockback in Power Bolt isn't noticeable, because I keep using my holds, but I think I'm going to have to do a lot of running back to keep mobs at arms length.

I can't wait till I get Arctic Air and Ice Slick, maybe then I'll start to see the lack of synergy.

If anyone has any comments, ideas or challenges, I am always happy to hear them. When it comes to playing though, I don't think I'm amazingly good and even my main and most loved toon, a 50+3 crab spider with a tanking softcapped build, I don't generally do above +0x1 cause I don't feel I am good enough, so suggestions for this would be nice if you want me to do a challenge like that.

Don't forget to take Power Push. It's downright silly in Energy Assault (and silly in a completely opposite way in Energy Blast).

Ice Slick will help with that... At least until your knockback blasts the enemies off of it.

That's what the AoE immobilize is for - to keep them on the Ice Slick.

Standing.

And attacking.

Eh, just put them to sleep with Flash Freeze. That'll do it.

With them standing on the Ice Slick.

Which will wake them up without knocking them over.
