what are your normal def numbers? I never played regen too much but have a baby kat/reg on the works and I really want to make a TW/Regen brute (got one on SOs at 50 on beta, managed to do rikti at 0/x6 but my regen skillz are sucky for now, my SM/Elec Brute can do better on other factions and she's frankensloted) - I hope I can do some crazy stuff on a regen with ios but without shadow meld 
(I like brutes better, shame they don't get it, would be awesome for a regen)

The audio is overblown - adjusting your Stereo Mix will not affect anything else you do on your computer. Once adjusted, that's it - everything will automatically record everything just fine - no editing required. If you are using Vista/Win 7, just right click your speaker icon and go to Recording Devices. Go to Stereo Mix and hit Properties, then go to the Levels tab and turn it down. I don't know what kind of audio card/chip your machine uses so you will have to experiment by recording a little.
