Trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman

Okay let you off

Not going to tell you what my lady has made me watch, although I put my foot down when she suggested Twilight.

You are a bad bad man

I remain disappointed that the Huntsman in this film isn't the Huntsman.

I realize that the standard fairy tale story here is going to be geared so that at the end the Evil Queen "loses" and Snow White "wins" but I'm pretty sure I'm only going to be enjoying this movie during the parts when the Evil Queen has the upper hand. Once Snow White starts to win here I'm going to be disappointed.

To quote the mirror.

"You are the fairest. But there is another destined to surpass you."

So the mirror is foreseeing a time when Kristin will get plastic surgery... or maybe when she is 60 and Charlize is 75.

Or there are those who just find Kristin fairer than Charlize. :O

Sadly, it's the one thing that's the problem with all movies when you have "Oh they're better looking than me!" or "Oh this person is better looking than this one"

It's usually subjective and there's always at least a few people who disagree.

Lol that's what I thought, and I liked Kristen in every movie I saw except Twilight (I kinda liked the first Twilight as entertainment, but didn't like her character). And I find her pretty, but well... Charlize Theron is really on another level imo.

Kristen as a stand alone element is attractive enough, but compared to Theron...jeeesh. Its like comparing (insert decently funny comedian of your choosing) to Pryor/Carlin.

Indeed and someone should tell The Mirror and Evil Queen the same. Even though neither one of them are my "type" per se, theres no question in my mind whos the more attractive of the two.


Modern day Snow White scenario should go down like this...

The Evil Queen -
(phone: Tammy, send in my executive VP, Mr Mirror immediately. He enters the office...) "Mirror! Who is the most attractive and appealing woman that youve ever known?"

Mirror -
"Just my opinion boss, but at first glance...Ms Snow White from the secreterial pool is looking something delicious these days. Viewing the whole package though, you double majored and have degrees in 'Evil Queen Sorcery' and 'Granny Smith Apple Poisoning' with a minor in 'Creative Disguising'. You are the CEO of a major corporation that deals with all things fantasy...football, vacations, weddings. And dont forget, you are married to the most ballingest dude around. I mean the guy is all bling-bling this and bling-bling that....balla!
What does Ms White have on that? She's broke due to massive school tuition loans after dropping out of community college, drives a 1998 Kia and lives in a part of town that makes Camden, NJ look like Beverly Hills. All in all, Snow is hot...but girl, you got the Motts. Holla back if ya feel what Im saying."

TEQ -
"Hmmmmmmmmm, very well put. You can return to your office for now Mr Mirror and definitely look forward to an increase in your Xmas bonus this year."


<sidenote>
I think its these type of old school stories that mold girls early on into haters in the making towards their fellow womenfolk. Not too many fairytales out there with dudes trying to kill rival princes over who has the nicest castle or most amount of gold in the royal vault. They will fight over women, just like in real life (no poison apples usuallly involved though).
Hopefully this movie puts a better spin on the "damsel being rescued by the prince" scheme.

Lesson of the day...stop being a hater and work on your own shite.
