Claws/elec build. Need feedback.
Here are some things I'd do differently and why, but they shouldn't be taken as me saying your build is bad, what you did makes sense, these are preferences - -- things to think about.
I'd add a slot at least to Follow Up for recharge and accuracy to make it easier to stack and to make sure it hits for its very useful tohit buff. Perfect Zinger will slot and has Acc/recharge as does the purple melee set.
This is more arguable, I personally wouldn't slot Focus with Taunt, I dont think the added defense is worth the hit to DPS.
That brings the dmg per activation from 208 to 248 in Mids with your current self buffs slotted with Decimation and you can almost back to back spam that and Eviscerate for wtfpwnage.
I might also go with soul mastery over Mu if it fits your concept.
Damage will be about the same, but im my experience with both sets on an Elec specifically the -tohit on Dark Obliteration is quite powerful when fighting a large group in PvE.
As for saping, of course having Mu Mastery will sap foes of their End even faster, but I find most are sapped right after alpha with just lightning field and Power Sink. I feel that the -tohit is more mitigation than the sapping.
also, with Dark Obliteration you can slot Siphon Insight for more S/L and melee defense. obviously with a loss to dps.
For PvP, i'd stay with MU, sapping players works a lot better (at least last time i pvpeeed, been a while).

Thanks Scottula. This is very helpful as I'm really looking for some advice and different points of view. This is my first build and I want him to own.
It definitely makes sense to get follow up in the mix some more as I love that power and it stacks on my current build. As for slotting taunt in focus, you're right, I was going for the extra defense. I guess that's probably a major point of debate. How big a difference would say 35% SL def be versus 40%? And if it is a big difference, is there a way to take taunt out of focus and make up that defense somewhere else?
I'll have to look at those dark powers as they do sound helpful. I was looking at mu in terms of concept and the added aoe of ball lightning, but dark could work in concept since I've been using the void judgement over ion for the pbaoe. It seems my concept's working towards the dark side anyway.
Here's what I came up with using soul mastery instead of mu. I ended up keeping perfect zinger in focus for the defense, though I'd like to slot for damage if I can find another way to get the def. I was able to get SL def up to 45 but really don't know what else I'm gimping. I think the recharge rate looks good for my attack chain and hasten only drops for about 24 sec. My main concern is accuracy, as I really don't know how those numbers factor in. To hit is +70 and accuracy is +51. My other concern is end recovery. I'd like to make sure I keep my attack chain running without relying on the alpa slot. Someone please take a look and let me know what I've gimped.

End consumption is going to murder you in the build in the OP. Obviously you have power sink, but even with energize up you're barely over 1.5 net end/sec.
I personally would drop down to 33-34% s/l defense and use those slots/powers to reduce your end use a little more and maybe add some recharge. You'll be plenty durable in most situations at 33ish % s/l, and you're still only a small purple away from the cap when you need it. The six slot zinger in focus for example is six slots that are doing basically nothing for you other than the 3 percent defense. I'd rather use those for something else.

If you really want to go balls out after the softcap, you can also use the pvp glad armor unique. I'm kinda thinking about using one myself.

Hey gang. This is my first post and my first time using mids. I leveled my claws/elec brute to 50 without much planning and am really enjoying the build. My biggest complaint is my lack of defense and tried to address that here. Will that be enough, or should I try for the softcap? Can I do that without seriously gimping myself elsewhere? End isn't an issue with the cardiac alpha slot, but want to be sure to keep my recharge up too. I'm looking for constant aoe dmg without going squish (and without having to use surge so often). Anyway, just looking for some feedback and suggestions. Thanks.
