Mouse control configuration

This inverted mouse thing is driving me batty.

Is there any way to apply changes you make to your options account wide? Every new character I create I have to go in and "fix" the mouse configuration. And the hilarious thing is that I have to RESET it to "normal." Shouldn't "normal" = default?

You can save your configurations in the options screens and just load those on each new character you make. Should save you some time. I dont believe there is a way to have it load the saved configurations by default.

If you use the 'Save Options to File' button, new characters will default to that.

"Normal" vs "Inverted" is pretty common in flying games and the like for controls (basically anything with 3d camera control). 'Inverted' tends to be the more popular method of controlling vertical cameras, as it's inverted to the direction of the movement of the mouse (pulling the mouse down rotates the camera UP). It's not "inverted" in the sense that it's "inverted from the default way", but just using the standard names.

What the previous posters said about saving the options!

My mouse control didn't change for me, when I logged in (not entirely sure why).
However, the old "default" was a very odd choice for this game and anyone that I had ever talked to about it changed theirs to the old "inverted".
I am glad that they changed the default, as it can be off-putting to new players... However, I didn't think it would interfere with existing users who had it set that way!

My mouse control didn't change on existing characters, just on new characters.

Thanks to all for the tips on the "save options to file" option. That will save me the hassle of disabling the Pop Help on all my new characters too.

Ahhh... now I understand!

And yes! Once I finally learned to save my preferred options as default... making new characters was so much better/quicker/happier!!
