Kinetic melee question

I just checked the Paragon Wiki on power siphon and I wanted to ask here to make triple sure. It didn't state that any bad penalties happen when it wears off. But just can't get it in my head, so I am asking here. Where people have level 50 Tankers, Scrappers, and Brutes that use Kinetic Melee and have power siphon.

But do you lose your defense, have your damage reduced by 99%, and have your blue bar drained to empty when power siphon wears off? What does happen when power siphon wears off?

You stop being able to stack damage buffs. The ones you have stick around until their duration expires. That's all.

Issue 16 made me feel like this.

When Power Siphon wears off, you don't get additional damage buffs each time you use a kinetic melee attack. That's it, no drawback.

I think the "penalty" that you're looking for is that it takes time (well, the time it takes to hit anything with 5 attacks that count - Torrent, for example, doent) to stack up the five counts of damage buffs; you dont hit PS get uber and wait for a crash - it takes time to ramp it up - thats the breaks. Great Power/mechanic.

Power siphon makes me want to ditch the KM brute that I made and make a stalker so I can have Build Up instead.

Power Siphon on Brutes is just sad (no chance for auto-recharge on crit, low base damage minimizes buffs). I'd reroll that in a hurry. Scrapper preferred, Stalker next.
