Probably the servers being down.

The wisdom of Shadowe: Ghostraptor: The Shadowe is wise ...; FFM: Shadowe is no longer wise. ; Techbot_Alpha: Also, what Shadowe said. It seems he is still somewhat wise ; Bull Throttle: Shadowe was unwise in this instance...; Rock_Powerfist: in this instance Shadowe is wise.; Techbot_Alpha: Shadowe is very wise *nods*; Zortel: *Quotable line about Shadowe being wise goes here.*

IIRC, that is the generic driver that Windows 7 installs and it doesn't include OpenGL support.

There have been several reports of problems with the current 11.8 desktop drivers (and I doubt the Mobility drivers are any better) and previous versions as well. It's easy to find the older desktop drivers on the ATI site, but I'm having no luck finding the older Mobility drivers for your card and OS combination.

As for the Gateway site, well, when I go to the information pages on that notebook it shows that it comes with an ATI Mobility 2600. When you go to the Drivers and Downloads pages, it only lists Intel drivers. Way to go Gateway.

Luckily, you can download the 11.3 Mobility drivers from TechPowerUp. You may be able to find links to the 11.4, 11.2, 11.1 or earlier drivers with a little searching.

Be sure to follow proper Un-installation procedures using a program like Driver Sweeper after uninstalling your old drivers but before rebooting. This will remove left-over bits of the previous driver so that you can cleanly install other drivers.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
